<><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

As I finally arrived back in my room, something weird has occupied my mind. Could it be that the person hunting me on my territory is from the white room itself? Or is he even hunting me?

To understand how I, a product of the white room think, you would need to be a product of the same facility as well.

So could it be, that not only there is a staff member from the white room, but also a student sent after me?

But anyway, there is no need to worry about the class anymore. I have a new goal, and that is to clear the campus from any possible threats that come from the white room and are related to my past.

Grabbing my phone I immediately made a call, and it didn't take long for the other end to answer it. He is quick and reliable after all.

Sir Prof. Chairman Sakayanagi.

The head of this school, after a talk before joining this school, informed me about the fact that he is always open to clear the area from any possible threats that are directed from my past, he went on to be quite reliable, assisting me with crucial information about the teachers and staff, to make sure that nobody dangerous is in my radius.

[Chairman Sakayanagi.]

{What is it, Suou-kun? Didn't you just arrive back here?}

It certainly is true that I barely arrived here and immediately messaged him about a problem that I encountered earlier.

For some, it may sound like a guy with special needs. But it is necessary, after all. If something happens to me, it's the chairman's fault.

[Could we meet up in a few minutes?]

{I am at my office, meet me there. Also, please make sure to bring nobody else and just come here alone. Information being leaked by a third party is not good for my reputation.}

His calm voice said, reminding me to get there alone. But I was never planning on bringing anybody else. If I needed to bring anybody else, it would have been my sister, Alya or Mako-san.

These three are the only ones who know about me and my past. Mako because she was my childhood friend, to some degree.

And the other two for obvious reasons, since they would get associated with me quite easily.

[No worries. See you then.]

With that, I hurried to get there as soon as possible.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

As I knocked on his door, nothing happened. After the second time, then finally an answer came in. Or out?

Well, I honestly don't know what the correct grammatical way of wording that is. I am not Grammarly after all.

And I know more than 6 languages fluently. But for my well-being...

"an answer came out" is the correct form.

"Greetings. I thought that our conversation would be private and just between the two of us, Chairman Sakayanagi. How come there is Tsukishiro? This isn't part of our meeting. I will leave."

After recognizing who was next to me, I immediately stepped back, there was no reason for me to exchange words with him after all the history I shared with the white room.

But certainly, it's quite nostalgic seeing him here, I am surprised he hasn't been imprisoned.

"Oh no. Please don't leave yet, Suou-kun. Take a seat. You two should talk, it will be much more interesting I believe. Until then, I will leave you two alone for privacy reasons."

What first was a meeting with Sakayanagi, then became a nostalgic reunion with somebody I was pretty aware of during the time of the white room. He escaped the wave of imprisonment, unlike my father.

Tokinari Tsukishiro. He is a middle-aged man, around the age of my father, and a loyal supporter of the white room.

As Sakayanagi left, I was in the room all alone with Tsukishiro. He was sitting on the other side of the room, on the couch where he was drinking a cup of tea, or so I assume.

His expression wasn't describable, it was just like back then, his smile never left his face, even back then, when the project was officially over, not there was he upset at all.

"Take a seat." He said in an ordering manner, but there was no reason for me to follow that order.

I have something to do later that day, which means that I cannot stay for too long.

Alya is probably annoyed already that I muted her calls and I just felt the phone vibrating a little, probably her text messages cursing me to death.

But she got to wait right now, she is to no relevance to me or Tsukishiro. Or any other business that I have with him or other important individuals.

"I don't play on staying for too long. What is it that you want to talk about?"

"Ah well, you are not the type of guy to waste time chit-chatting about everyday life huh? Why did you come to this school?"

Yet he still proceeded to do so, he is a very interesting man, a generation older than me, of the so-called "Golden Era".

Back then, it was Sakayanagi - Ayanokouji - Tsukishiro. Three names had a huge impact on the white room and its survival after 18 years of operation.

Today it's Sakayanagi Arisu against Ayanokouji/Suou Kiyotaka. I still don't know if Tsukishiro also enrolled his children here, but it would have been an iconic reunion.

'The big three' The names that mattered the most for the establishment of hell on earth. Sakayanagi was important, he began a rivalry with my father, getting full control and leaving the white room business after taking over this school.

His main goal was to show that even those dirty projects such as the white room don't come close to the nurturing you would get in the ANHS.

But, here we are. One white room student walked those special examinations with ease.

A white roomer would have no problems in this school, but no other ANHS would survive the 10th curriculum, even less the 20th, which I have reached with ease.

"Do I have to answer that in a detailed sentence? I joined because I could. There is no other reason behind my enrolling here. What are you doing here, old man?"

Tsukishiro was an assassin operating under the white room, keeping the suspicion of the existence of such an illegal project away from the public.

Any news reporter, any kind of man trying to sell information, all of their deaths were settled before they could achieve huge damage.

"So so... Calling me old again huh? Ayanokouji's are a bit rude. But I don't mind, after all, I interrupted the conversation you wanted to have with Sir Sakayanagi."

The old man wasn't used to disrespecting him regarding his age. It was rather an old phrase I often used as a child. When I was around 9 years old.

During that time I wasn't the most mature person on this planet, so I loved to just piss off my instructors, who were around 20 to 30 years of age.

And calling people around 30 old was even funnier since they were in the greatest stage of denial.

"Then why not just speed up the process? I have no time for such useless conversations."

"Let me explain, the White Room is officially disbanded, and we started a new project with the former white roomers. You were the only survivor of the dark and demonic fourth generation. Exceeding all expectations set by sensei. We need you back for that project."

But he knows I ended my business with the white room and my father's political basis a long time ago.

It's just a desperate try to maybe get me back and help them since the genius of my father's planning is gone for a while. They needed somebody to replace his role, and there was nobody better for it than his son.

What interested me was what that project was really about. Was it another try to develop the most overpowered human being?

Or just a try to assassinate the rival? It could be everything. There is a vast range of possibilities regarding that.

"Old man set the expectations too low I assume. What is that about?"

"The project? Well, let me explain. I just wanted to warn you before graduation. We won't intercept your high school life, no worries. But there will be something happening after. As to Japanese industry being slowly beaten by the Germans and the Chinese, our party wants to win relevancy by pushing the Japanese economy."

"Proceed."

"Kiyotaka Suou, I wanted to invite you to the party. We want to build an empire of corporations in Japan. Such as Nissan or Toyota. But with an even more and wider range of products. How does that sound? You get a lot of money from your own company, we will make sure it will work out, and you will just try and give us influence with the power you have in the economy."

Usually, I would say no. But this time, I am a little confused about what my wife would think about this. Shady business, even though nothing will happen since I will be backed by the government, I am still unsure about agreeing.

I would first need to ask her, and knowing her nature, she will decline for sure. Now the question is...

Money or my wife?

Someone that I love or something that I want?

The blue or the red pill, which one of them is more important to me? I don't think it's a hard decision right now.

"Sir, I think I will help out, as long as I can stay anonymous. That's my answer. Please come back to me right before graduation, and discuss things again. Those things are pretty dangerous right now, I am not allowed to sign contracts or any other things on this school campus. Leaving is strictly forbidden and I cannot start a business as a student of this school."

"I understand your worries. Thank you for your words, Ayanokouji. I will revisit you, please tell the chairman this was about the white room, to prevent suspicion."

After all, he also ended the businesses with the white room and now is all in for starting a money empire, creating an insanely strong economy for Japan.

Rising to a world power again.

"Before you leave, Tsukishiro. Why were you on the island?"

"Oh? You are sure that you saw me there? Because I am most certainly sure that I went unnoticed by you. I kept quite a distance. Around three hundred meters."

He was not stupid, he immediately confirmed that he was on the island, preventing a bad reputation by the end of my school career, risking that I wouldn't agree to the business idea.

So he instantly went on and confirmed my suspicion. He was on the island, after all, my instincts do not lie.

"You weren't marked on the GPS map. Staff was only allowed to move around in a group of two or more people. I noticed a staff member moving all alone, and I immediately noticed, there must have been two people of which one wasn't marked. In my brain, I noticed that only one person was ready to pay me a visit in this funny way."

It was you Tsukishiro.

The staff member next to you was probably a teacher, who was marked, just you, a person who shouldn't have been here at all and could have been unmarked.

You are as sneaky as before, Tokinari. Back then when you were an assassin and did jobs for the political party of my father, you were never caught and could have never been charged with anything due to the lack of evidence.

"That is a great observation. I thought of visiting this school again after almost three decades. It was quite nostalgic to revisit this uninhabited island. Also nostalgic seeing the only demon of the fourth generation in service. You are like a F-22 fighter jet. You are superior, but will probably never use its full potential, because there is no need for that."

"Thank you for the compliment, Tsukishiro. It was a great talk, also may I ask you something?"

"Go on."

"Have you found any other drop out of the fourth generation?"

I am still curious about what has happened to white roomer Yuki and Shiro. I know way too many Yuki's I guess...

Yuki Himeno, Yuki Suou, Yuki White Roomer...

I wouldn't be surprised if Alya named my daughter Yuki as well...

"Ayanokouji-san. I failed to find anybody who was originally part of your demonic generation. The era of the fourth generation is truly the most iconic one by a huge mile. It's hard for me to find somebody from your generation, and I cannot identify them because all the documented students of the fourth generation are stored by you."

"Sigh... I still have those documents, they are under the observation of the government. You should be sneaky if you want them. Once I am out of here, for a certain price, I could sell them to you."

"You do business as well as your father did, Ayanokouji-san."

"Ah, before I leave Tsukishiro. If around in public, please refer to me as Kiyotaka."

"Alright. See you in the future, until then, keep it up, and don't get expelled."

His advice was empty, in reality, just like my father, he isn't a huge fan of this school. And I understand why. The stuff you get taught here is normal high school level, but the spin-off with special exams is a lot more tricky than I expected.

It's not hard to win them, but hard to maintain the class as one force if you don't want to use violence like Ryueen does.

It is teaching us, that keeping together 40 students in a class is hard, keeping together an entire country, is even harder.

"You forget a thousand things every day, make sure this is one of them."

He then stretched his hand out to me and I shook it gently before we both left and our ways parted. As of now, life is good.

I have a wife, White Room has ended, Class D promoted and for now, I can start and annoy Yuki daily again.

I feel a bit weird right now...There is nothing that I have forgotten right?

I mean, if I forgot it then it was surely something meaningless, right? So I guess it's not that important.

So I went on and left the school building as sneaky as possible, to avoid getting suspicious of the by-standing person.

Of course, I was not that stupid and used the third exit, which led into a small, quiet way, this was probably used to sell some shady stuff, and well, there were indeed students, however, what I noticed was, that they were all hiding their faces.

Weirdly enough, this dark and shady area, which was literally between the school building and the secondary special building was not surveilled by any cameras at all.

Why is it that they put cameras in our classrooms but don't bother to put them in places where the criminality rate is around 101%? I don't think I will ever get it, it's likely a complex by the Sakayanagi Family.

Nothing new at all.

"You there! Brownie!"

What? Did he mean me by brownie? Quite the nickname I suppose. Perhaps to avoid suspicion if I could recall his voice or that he revealed the fact that he already knew me.

"Me?"

"Yes, you! Roll it!"

He approached me, I couldn't see his face but he was taller than me, older as well. Means he is a senpai for sure. And what did he mean by that?

If I can remember correctly, "roll it", most likely stood for "show me", as an example, roll your money. 'Show me your money.'

This is probably just slang used by criminals or people who were engaged in crimes earlier in their lives.

"Roll your pockets I said!" His voice grew more antagonistic.

I assume this is a robbery huh? Wait a second... A robbery? Does he want to rob me?

Seriously? Is he that broke to start and rob students who pass this area? And for what? How does he want to rob us, if we don't have paper cash?

We could surely send him some points, but we could easily backtrack it and find out his name. Except he has two accounts, and you can set up an anonym account for whatever reason.

This is an invitation to be a criminal on this campus.

"Why should I?"

"You better do so, or this knife is not going to come out of your stomach smoothly!" He suddenly pulled out a knife.

But he was wrong though, it isn't a combat knife that drags organs out after stabbing someone in the stomach. It's just a kitchen knife, but regardless, it's a threat with a dangerous base.

Getting stabbed now could be critical since I barely recovered. Should I just give him all my points in exchange for my physical condition and then run?

Well, that is what a normal human would do. Am I normal?

Not.

"I don't have anything with me to give to you."

"The fuck do you mean? I saw ya' phone half a minute ago! Show me your points! Aren't ya' that first year who won that children's exam? You easily have a million points at least, except you spend all of those in the last four hours!"

It certainly is possible to spend all those points already, but who is going to believe me that I wasted millions of points in just such a short time?

It's theoretically possible, but nobody could do it or would want to do it.

"I won it, yes. However, you still won't get anything from me. Keep your distance."

People like him often check who won exams, who was rumored to have a high account balance, or other criminals, who robbed others before.

They know who to rob and who not to. Because they won't risk expulsion for people under seven digits of private points.

"Last chance! Give me your points!"

This school crime rate is horrendous. People rob you of your points in such alleys.

It's just a product of this system. This isn't anything surprising, to be honest, but more of a sad view. People need to rob others to live under normal human conditions.

I assume that he is in the D class, where the amount of points they are getting is close to zero. After I checked the real score in the morning, Third and second-year Class-D have 0 and 7 Class points. This is absolutely nothing.

"Nah. I don't think I will."

Just as he said that he came rushing toward me, he held his knife in the air, and this made me freeze a second.

He lied about stabbing me in the stomach. He wants to stab me in the neck. This will be a quick death if his knife attack does well.

What would Alisa think about me? No way I would bleed to death because of some points.

Just before he reached my neck, I barely caught his knife with the palm of my hands, blood squirting everywhere. It was on my clothes, on his as well.

But this was the last second I saw him.

"Fuck! It connected!" He yelled in panic and ran away, his knife still in my palm and I couldn't reach my phone out of pain.

I will bleed to death here if this doesn't stop in 50 seconds... If the ambulance doesn't arrive here in two minutes, my dumbass also grabbed the knife and pulled it out, causing a lot more blood loss.

I don't know why, but I guess I panicked too much because I was about to get stabbed in the neck, and I had a responsibility to protect Alisa, my wife.

And I couldn't do so...

And nobody is coming to save me, rarely does somebody pass this area during the day or on a crowded day.

"Calm down, Suou-kun!"

Suddenly, I heard a voice, coming from the western side of the alley, it was a girl, not from my class, but from Class B. She had strawberry-blonde hair and was in her casual clothes.

And well, as she arrived in shock at the situation, I began to understand that I wasn't bleeding to death, rather it was just a panic, probably the trauma from back then again.

"Call help."

"Calm down, breathe in and out. Help is on the way, I send an SOS call to the
