FAITH SAT BESIDE matt in his car, comfortable silence filling the cars atmosphere. the windows were both slightly rolled down, as 'F2F' by SZA played lowly on the speakers.

faith has been hanging out with matt more than her own sisters recently, and she didn't even feel bad about it. she's canceled on her sisters and nessa multiple times this month, but it's like she didn't even care anymore. her liking for matt has completely blinded her from her actual priorities.

scratch that, her love for matt has overpowered her relationship with her family and friends.

at the age of 16, faith started dating a guy who shall not be named. the beginning of the relationship was great, in faith's eyes. he bought her things, wrote handwritten letters to her just to show his love and admiration for her, and even went as far as having her meet his parents.

faith adored him. she showered him in love and affection, but that wasn't enough for him. towards the middle of their relationship, he began gaslighting and cheating on her again and again. each time, he apologized and faith immediately forgave him because she thought she was in love.

she was blinded by what she thought was love, and now she knows what love genuinely feels like, so she doesn't want to be away from it. she feels so seen with matt, unlike how she did with her ex, so she thinks not giving matt enough attention and affection will drive him to do the same things her ex did.

faith looked over when matt spoke, the look in her eyes whenever she did so just showing how much she adores him.

"you wanna get anything to eat?" matt asked, glancing over at her just to see her. seeing the look in faith's eyes when she looked at him made him guilty as ever.

"no, i'm good," faith shook her head, looking back out the front windshield. "what do you think lamelo ball is doing right now?"

"probably his girlfriend." matt shrugged, smiling a little since he knew what faith's reaction would be.

"don't remind me," faith groaned and leaned her head back. "she's so freaking old it stresses me. like didn't he literally ask steve to get that cougar away from him?"

"i never get your lamelo ball references," matt rolled his eyes, shaking his head. "you're so chronically online."

"only for lamelo ball," faith shrugged, smiling. "he's so baddie."

"your taste is all over the place." matt said, as he drove with one hand on the wheel.

whenever faith got home, she walked by her sisters without a word. she sat on her bed, but it wasn't even five minutes before forest and felicity walked in shouting.

"stop fucking ignoring us, faith!" felicity shouted, opening the door harder than normal.

"we're your sisters!" forest shouted as well, both girls looking at faith.

"i'm not ignoring you guys," faith rolled her eyes, sighing.

"yes you are, faith! for some dumbass guy who doesn't even love you as much as your own sisters do." felicity said, not caring how mean she sounded.

"get out," faith rolled her eyes again, as she tossed something at them.

"then stop talking to us about matt. we're so sick of you." forest said, her and felicity walking out and slamming the door.

faith groaned and leaned back in her bed, debating on if she was actually being mean to them or not. whenever she got a text from nessa, she knew she'd messed up.
