TAYLOR FOUGHT SO hard for a second chance, and now she was freaking out about it. To say she was nervous would be an understatement. She had lost Y/n once already; she didn't want to lose her again. She had to make this date special because Y/n was so special to her; she just needed a lot of help.

The person she called should be showing up soon.

As she waited, she sat in her room with her mom and tried to calm down. Her mother could see the anxiety written on her daughter's face. "Honey, you have nothing to worry about. Y/n loves you just the way you are." Andrea spoke in a comforting manner. She looked over at her daughter with a reassuring smile. "She said yes; that has to mean something, right?"

Taylor let out a sigh and nodded. "I just don't want to mess this up again," Taylor explained, then looked at her mother. "She means the world to me; she needs to know that. I need her to know that."

"She knows that; trust me." They heard a male voice say: They looked up to see Y/n's friend standing in front of them with a smile. "She tells me about it every time we talk. Speaking of, where is she?" He questioned her curiously.

"She's out getting some lunch. She'll be back soon, so we have to make this quick."

They looked at her, wondering what she was talking about. Now that she thought about it, she never told them why they were there. That was information they would have loved to know earlier. Elvis would have loved to know why he was asked to fly out to New York as quickly as possible.

"What are we doing here, Taylor?" Elvis spoke up, asking the question they were both thinking.

"My date with Y/n is tomorrow night; I need help making sure everything is perfect."

From that point on, she went on to explain her plan. She made sure to go over every little detail. She gave them their roles and gave Elvis an amount of time to keep Y/n away from the apartment. Everything was going to be perfect.

It had to be.

For the past hour or two, Elvis has been doing his job and distracting Y/n while Taylor and Andrea got everything ready at the apartment. They've walked around the city, catching up on each other's lives. Elvis even updated her on the store.

Hearing about everything going on in West Reading was making her miss it. She never thought she'd miss that place; it turns out she was wrong.

"It's great to hear that the store is doing so well," Y/n said with a smile. She was starting to think about all the memories from that building. It's probably nothing; she's just homesick. It'll pass eventually. "I'm glad you're here and everything, but I have to ask. What are you doing here?" She questioned him curiously.

"I just thought I'd visit my best friend that I don't get to see much anymore." He responded, soon seeing the smile on her face. "How's New York been treating you? What are you doing for work now other than the online stuff for the shop?"

"Remember that dream I told you about?"

Elvis nodded curiously, and then she started talking about her plan. She even made him promise to never tell Taylor about it. Taylor needed to know nothing about it until it was ready. She didn't want to ruin the surprise.

As she expected, Elvis was loving the idea.

They were halfway to the cafe when Elvis got a text. "Who is it? Your boyfriend?" Y/n questioned with a teasing tone before earning a death glare from him. "Tough crowd."

"We have to go; Taylor needs us." The second Y/n heard those words, she began to worry. Taylor had texted Elvis, but not her. Was something wrong? "Let's go before she freaks out on us."

With that, they turned around and got a ride back to the apartment.

The whole ride home consisted of Y/n worrying and trying to figure out what could be wrong. Elvis wouldn't tell her anything; that just made her worry more. More importantly, how come Taylor isn't telling her anything? She wasn't answering her calls or anything. Andrea wasn't answering her phone either.

She had so many questions, yet none of them were getting answered.

Something was going on; she could feel it in her bones. She just wasn't sure what it was. "Why won't you tell me what's going on?" Y/n asked, her tone coming out with worry. "Not telling me just makes it worse."

"Just relax; everything is fine. You have to trust me on that." Elvis responded, never looking up from his phone once.

Y/n tried looking at his screen, but he was quick to hide it. Something was wrong; that much was clear. If something is wrong with Taylor, she has the right to know about it; that was killing her. Yet she knew nothing. Elvis knew everything, though. What was going on? Is it yet another Taylor surprise that she planned out?

The second their Uber reached the apartment, she got out of the car and ran inside.

She walked inside to find all the lights dimmed, but candles were lit in the kitchen. What did Taylor do? With her nerves growing, she proceeded to approach the kitchen to discover that Taylor had set up a date spot. She thought of everything.

Y/n began to remember when she told Taylor about her dream date. It consisted of a home-cooked meal and candles, but she was forgetting one final detail.

That's when she heard it.

Slow music played faintly, and then a voice spoke. "I hope it's not too much." She turned around to find Taylor looking at her with a smile. "Welcome to date night; I made it extra special for an extra special girl."

"You didn't have to do all that." She smiled as Taylor approached her. Honestly, she wasn't sure what to expect, but it certainly wasn't this. This was the last thing she was expecting. It was a surpriseβ€”one of the best ones she's ever gotten. She would remember this forever.

"This is going to sound super cheesy, but I don't care." Before Taylor could continue, she took a deep breath and grabbed Y/n's hands, now staring into her eyes. "Losing you was one of the hardest things I've ever had to go through; it was difficult for both of us. We won't ever go through that again. Y/n, we're timeless, and from this day forward, I'm going to prove that to you."

"I'm sure you will." Y/n smiled before pulling her into a kiss.

They pulled away a few seconds later and then sat down to eat their dinner. At one point, Taylor even revealed that Elvis was a part of her plan, as was Andrea. Now it made sense that none of them were answering their phones and that Elvis wouldn't tell her anything. She should have guessed that, but she was distracted by the worry she was feeling. She may have panicked in the beginning, but it was okay now. She got to have a great date with the love of her life.

It was the best date she's ever had.
