"Shit!" Sidney muttered, typing frantically. She dialed 911 through the computer. The killer continued slashing at the door but couldn't get through. After a moment, he gave up and disappeared.

Sidney's window suddenly creaked open, and Billy Loomis climbed inside.

"Billy!" The two girls gasped.

"The door's locked. I heard screaming. Are you two alright?" He asked, his face etched with concern as he glanced at Sidney before giving Adora his full attention.

"The killer's here! He's in the house!" Sidney cried, throwing herself into his arms.

Billy hugged her tightly as he looked at Adora, silently asking if she was okay. Adora returned his concern with a small smile, but that didn't stop her from shaking. "It's okay. He's gone. He's gone now. It's alright."

As he comforted them, something slipped from his pocket and landed on the floor. Sidney's eyes darted down. A cellular phone. She stared at it, her expression hardening. Slowly, she backed away from her boyfriend, confusing both Billy and Adora.

"What?" Billy asked, noticing her change in demeanor. "Sid, what?"

Sidney bolted from the room, grabbing Adora with her, ignoring his shouts. "Whoa, whoa! Wait! Sid, wait! Adora! Adora wait!" He called, chasing after them. Adora and Sidney ran down the stairs, both their hearts pounding.

"Sidney, what the hell is going on?" Adora yelled but she didn't stop running because she trusted that her best friend had a reason for her panic.

"It's Billy! He had a phone!" Sidney replied.

And even thought Sidney couldn't see it, Adora shook her head in disbelief. "Billy? No, it can't be. Billy wouldn't do this."

As Sidney flung open the front door, they were met with the masked killer.

Adora and Sidney screamed, causing the person who was holding the mask to lower it. And Adora felt her heartbeat slowly slowing down when she saw that it was her dad.

"Sorry! I found this!" Dewey quickly apologised.

"Dad!" Adora let out a relief sigh as she ran into her father's arms.

Dewey held her tightly, his hand gently stroking her back. "It's okay." He murmured softly. "You're okay. You're safe now."

Billy screamed as the officers hauled him out of the house, his voice raw with desperation. "I didn't do anything! Sid... where's Sid? Ask her—she'll tell you! Adora! Where is she? Is she okay?"

Adora stood frozen near the ambulance, her heart pounding in her chest. She glanced at Sidney, who sat wrapped in a blanket, shaking but silent. Dewey held a car door open as Sheriff Burke stepped out, his face hard and unreadable.

"We got him, Sheriff." Dewey announced, motioning to Billy.

"Billy Loomis."Burke frowned deeply. "Hank Loomis' kid? Aw, Jesus..."

"He's Sidney's boyfriend." Dewey added, lowering his voice.

Billy struggled against the officers as they pushed him into the back of the squad car. His eyes darted wildly, landing on Adora."Adora! You know me! Tell them I didn't do this! I wouldn't do this to you!" Billy shouted, his voice cracking.

Adora's stomach churned. She shook her head slowly, unsure of what to believe. Her mind screamed that it wasn't him—it couldn't be him.

"Sheriff, I didn't do it!" Billy pleaded. "Please, call my dad! I didn't do anything!"

The squad car sped off, leaving Billy's protests behind as another car screeched to a halt in front of the house. Tatum jumped out, her face pale and filled with panic.

Across the yard, Dewey and Burke continued their brisk conversation.

"I was first to respond." Dewey said.

"What were you doing out here?" Burke asked.

 "Drive-by patrol." Dewey replied.

The Sheriff nodded, his tone softening slightly. "How are they?"

 "They're tough." Dewey answered.

"They'd have to be, with all the shit they've been through." Burke muttered grimly. Adora turned to Sidney, who sat in stunned silence. She reached out, placing a hand on Sidney's shoulder.

"It's going to be okay." Adora said softly, though she didn't fully believe it herself. Burke and Dewey approached, their expressions cautious.

"You two gonna be okay to come down to the station and answer some questions?" Burke asked gently.

Sidney nodded weakly. "Yeah."

Adora nodded as well. "Sure."

Before they could say more, Tatum barreled past an officer, her eyes wild with worry. "Oh God, Adora! Sidney!" She cried, rushing to her friend and cousin's side.

"Tatum!" Dewey called after her. "You can't be here—this is an official crime scene."

"It's okay." Sidney said quietly.

"She was supposed to pick us up."Tatum wrapped her arms tightly around Adora and Sidney.

"I'm so sorry I was late." She whispered.

"She's staying with us tonight." Tatum said, looking at Dewey. "Her dad's out of town."

"Does Mom know?" Dewey asked, raising an eyebrow.

 "Yes, you doofus." Tatum snapped.

Adora stayed close to Sidney, her thoughts racing. She didn't believe Billy was capable of this. He could be impulsive, sure, but a killer? No way. Something wasn't adding up, and she felt the weight of that doubt settle heavily on her chest. There was nothing in her that believed Billy could be the killer for even a second. He wouldn't do that to her. He wouldn't kill Casey and then comfort her about it.

"Let's get you two out of here." Sheriff Burke spoke.

Dewey, noticing his daughter's discomfort, shrugged off his jacket and draped it gently over her shoulders. "Here, sweetheart." He said softly, offering a small smile to his daughter. "You're freezing."

Adora blinked, momentarily caught off guard by the gesture. "Thanks, daddy." She murmured, pulling the jacket tighter around herself.

Before they could move toward Tatum's car, the sound of screeching brakes echoed down the street. A white news van skidded to a stop, and Gale Weathers hopped out, her sharp eyes scanning the scene like a hawk zeroing in on its prey.

"Oh, great." Tatum muttered under her breath.Gale's gaze locked on Sidney and Adora near the ambulance. "Let's get out of here before she gets her claws into us." Tatum urged, grabbing the two girls with her towards Dewey's car.

Adora climbed into the back seat with Sidney, her mind still racing. As the car followed Dewey's vehicle, she glanced back at the police lights fading in the distance.

I know he's not the killer. He just can't be. He was there when the killer called me again at Stu's house...

Gale Weathers' sharp eyes immediately caught sight of Sidney and Adora being escorted to a squad car by Tatum.

"I'll be damned." Gale muttered under her breath. "Jesus! The camera—hurry!" Gale snapped, her frustration bubbling over.

"My name isn't Jesus!" Kenny called after her, but Sidney was already gone, the squad car pulling away with the two girls in it. "Sidney, Adora, is it you in there?" She asked, but she already knew the answer when Dewey drove away faster. Gale's gaze shifted to Tatum, who was making her way quickly to her car, her movements hurried and purposeful.

"Excuse me?" Gale called out, her heels clicking against the pavement as she rushed toward Tatum.

Tatum glanced up, her expression hardening when she saw Gale approach.

"Was that Sidney Prescott and Adora Riley they just took away?" Gale pressed, her tone sharp and probing. "What happened to them?" Gale pushed, stepping closer.

"None of your damn business, bitch." Tatum shot back.

"I heard something about a costume. Is that true?" Gale asked the blonde slammed her car door shut.

"Can you tell me anything?" Gale asked, knocking on the window.

"Yeah! You're a real pain in the ass. Leave them alone." And with that Tatum started the car and drove after her brother's squad car.

"Where'd they go?" Kenny puffed as he finally caught up, camera in hand.

Gale turned on her heel, her expression a mix of exasperation and disdain.

"Look, Kenny." she started, her voice dripping with sarcasm, "I know you're about fifty pounds overweight, but when I say hurry, please interpret that as... MOVE YOUR FAT TUB OF LARD ASS NOW!"

She didn't wait for a response, spinning back toward the van with her usual determination, leaving Kenny to glare after her, red-faced and muttering under his breath.
