[ Monday 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 31st ]

It was New Year's Day and the group was hanging out at the girl's dorm. Zuko and Suki sat on the couch next to each other scrolling through TikTok.

Aang and Katara laid down on the floor watching tv with Katara resting her head on Aang's chest and him stroking her long brown hair. Toph sat on the couch across from Zuko, Sokka laid on her lap as Toph ran her fingers through his hair that slowly fall out of his ponytail.

Later the group decided it was best for them to go to sleep for the night. They walked into the hallway and stood in front of the boy's dorm for talking. Finally, Sokka decided to bring up his idea for New Years'.

Sokka - Hey guys

*Everyone turns their head towards Sokka*

Katara - Yeah Sokka?

Sokka - Do you guys have plans for New Years'?

Aang - No I don't think so, any of you guys have plans?

Everyone - Nope

Suki - Why do you ask?

Sokka - Because I have an idea for tomorrow

Katara - Can you tell us?

Top - It's a surprise

Zuko - Wait so you told Toph and not us?

Sokka - Well duh she's my girlfriend

Aang - Well I can't wait until the surprise. But until then Good night everyone

The girls - Night

Katara kissed Aang on the cheek and so did Toph before the boys entered their apartment for the night. The girls went back home and cleaned their dorm a bit before crashing for the night.

[ Toph pov ]

I woke up around 10 and got dressed into my favorite Saturday outfit,Which was my dark gray sweat pants and my over size earth kingdom shirt.

After I got dressed I headed over to the living room where I felt Aang and Katara sitting next to each other watching some news.

I sat on the couch opposite them and yawned before I began pulling my hair into A messy bun, Katara was the first to notice my presence causing her to speak.

Katara - Morning Toph

Toph - *yawn* Morning sugar queen

Aang - Are you ready for the new year?

Toph - No not really

Katara - What, why not?

As Katara spoke Aang got up from the couch and walked into the kitchen where he started pouring 2 cups of Coffee.

I knew the cups were for Katara and me because Aang has this weird Air bender thing we're they don't drink coffee but instead Tea if they need help staying awake.

Weird I thought

Katara - Come on Toph your not just a little excited for the New Year?

Toph - Why would I be? It's going to happen again in like 300 days

Aang - 365!

I rolled my eyes and laid back on the couch as Katara sat at the end of the couch very determined to make me excited for New Years'.

Katara - Ok but it's a "New year" It's like a fresh start. You can make New Years Resolutions
and make goals.....

Toph - Yeah I can do that but like most people, I'm going to forget about it in like a week or two

Aang walked back towards the living room handing me and Katara Coffee, I sat criss-cross on the couch while Katara laid her head on Aang's shoulder closing her eyes and Aang laid his head back.

We drank our coffee in silence...But it was a good kinda silence it was like we were at peace. Well, we were until Sokka busted down the door causing all of us to jump in surprise. Sokka then ran towards me hugging me from behind before pulling away and sitting next to me.

Aang - Looks like someone is happy

Sokka - I am !

Toph - And why is that?

Sokka - Well because it's New Years', A fresh start, a new beginning.Aren't you excited Toph?

Katara - hahaha haha

Sokka - Why are you laughing?

Katara - No it's just........you guys are the complete opposite

Sokka - Are not!

Toph - We kinda are Sokka

Sokka - Really?.........how?

Toph - Well let's take New Years for example. You're excited about and I'm...well let's just say I'm not a big fan of it

Sokka - Uhh!? How can you not love New Years

Toph - I just don't...

Sokka - Fine.......But that still doesn't show how we are opposite

Katara - Well take your guy's energy/vibe as another example

Aang - Yeah Sokka vibe is kinda like funny, party, beach, sunny........ kinda like a funny beach boy vibe

Sokka - I can agree

Aang - And Toph vibe is kinda like......moody, sarcastic,gloomy , Secretive........ Like the dark academy aesthetic

Toph - Wow you just called me depressing in 3 different ways

Aang - Sorry, I'm just trying to prove your point

Sokka - I guess your right Aang

Sokka looked down to the ground sad, I wrapped my arms around his shoulders pulling him back towards me before I spoke.

Toph - But it doesn't matter how different we are......... I like us being together

Katara&Aang - Awwwwwwwwww

Toph - Shut up!!

Katara got out of the shower and walked to her room where she got ready for the night. After Got changed she did her make-up before heading over to Toph.

Toph was laying on the ground but has her feet resting against the bed, Suki was also in the room sitting/ Spinning on Toph's desk chair.
The girls were talking and gossip about people that went to their school but Stopped when Katara came in.

Suki - Wow looks like someone is dressed up

Katana - I dress to impress. Now come on you guess need to get the dress

Suki - Ok

Toph - Ugh

Katara - Come on Toph, don't you want to look good for Sokka?

Toph - Shut up Katara

Katara - Alright alright just please get dressed

Suki exited the room with Katara walking behind her, They shut the door to Toph's room once they left. Toph got off of the ground whipping some chip dust her head on her self, Then she walked over to her closet where she picked out her outfit to wear for the party.

Once Toph was done getting ready she left her room to discover everyone else in the living room, When she walked in the room Sokka couldn't keep his eyes off of her.

Toph walked over to Sokka and Stood next to him while everyone waited for Suki. Of course, when Suki came Zuko's cheeks turned redder than blood and he began chocking up on his own words.

The group got in Sokka's car and began to drive, Toph sat next to Sokka so she could be in charge of the radio. Aang and Katara Sat in the middle row playing among us with Zuko and Suki who sat in the back of the car.

Zuko - Ugh crew mate again! I hate this

Aang - You'll get it sooner or later Zuko

Suki - Shhh guys blue is SUS

Katara - Hey I'm blue!

Suki - Yeah and you're sus, I'm calling emergency meeting!

Toph - What are they talking about?

Sokka - It's a popular game that's been trending

Toph - Oh, how much longer

Sokka - Were here I just need to take a left and then we'll be there

Toph - That's good

Toph turned her head around towards the group and began to speak causing everyone to turn towards her

Toph - Losers we're here

Aang - Hey this place looks familiar

Katara - Yeah it does

Zuko - Yeah can you guys tell— ohh I know this place

Suki - What is it?

Zuko - It's—

Sokka - Shh don't ruin the surprise for everyone

Zuko rolled his eyes before whispering the answer in Suki's ear.

Finally, Sokka made the turn and everyone saw Iron house and Iroh standing in front of it smiling. Once the car was parked one by one the group got out and greeted him.

When it was finally Suki's turn to say hello to Iroh his eyes widen in confusion before giving her a warm smile. After Iroh greeted her the group walked inside with Katara leading the way, Iroh and Zuko walked in the back and Iroh nudged Zuko's shoulder and spoke in his ear.

Iroh - Looks like someone brought a lady friend

Zuko - UNCLE

Iroh - hahaha
