For the rest of the afternoon you tried to distract yourself from the thought that he was near you right now. He was in the Arcade, playing Violent Combat. It was tempting to go there and spy on him. At least he wouldn't know what you looked like either, would he?

You tried to focus on your studies again, but failed greatly. So you tried reading Manga, but the situation didn't give you any rest.

Even though you knew it wasn't a good idea and it would break your and Choki's agreement, you dressed in sports attire and put on a cap. After adding sunglasses to your seemingly perfect disguise, you left the house.

On your way to the Arcade, you were lost in thoughts about multiple things, but most of them were connected to Choki56. It annoyed you that you couldn't stop thinking about him, yet you persuaded yourself into thinking that you would stop caring so much as soon as your curiosity was satisfied.

»Hey, one more lap«, a voice caught your attention and pulled you out of your thoughts.

»Why on the weekend? I'm too tired to even walk.«, another voice came from the same direction; it sounded familiar. You were just passing by a football field and assumed that the voices came from over there. So you sneaked up to the field, looking behind the fence. There were two guys running around on the field. Or at least one ran and the other one was trailing behind. They were indeed familiar to you; it were Reo and Nagi.

»Come on, just one more for me, Nagi. After that we'll play.«

»What a pain«

»Ah! Hey, (L/N)-chan, is it you?«, Reo grinned at you and waved. You flinched at his sudden exclamation.

Fuck, he recognised me? Although my disguise was this good? How embarrassing.

»Ah hahaha, yes, hi!«, you stripped-off your cap and sunglasses fast and hid them behind your back to make the situation less embarrassing. Which it didn't.

»Do you want to play too?«

»Actually I just went by when I heard your voices...«

»Come on, you can play with us if you want to. Hayase-kun told me that you'd like to play football as well and I would have let you join the team either if it wasn't a requirement to be an only boys team.«

Your mood lit up and you immediately forgot about your mission to spy on Choki56. You loved football.

»Yes, gladly!«, with flushed cheeks and a smile on your face you hurried around the fence towards the entrance. As soon as you stood in front of them, Reo was thinking out loud: »Hmm...now we're an odd number of players...«

»Usually«, Reo smiled determined.

»I even brought you a tracksuit«, Reo retorted.

The chatter of the friends made you laugh heartily. »You sure are good friends, aren't you?« The two looked at each other and then back at you, but before any of them could reply, you asked: »Why is football that important to you? What's your dream?«

Reo grinned. »We will both participate and win the nationals, this will be our stepping stone. Then we'll keep winning and become Japan's representative in the shortest time possible. We will keep going until we win the World Cup.«

His determination was impressive. You understood why everyone had a crush on him. He wasn't your cup of tea anyway, but Reo seemed to be a cool person nevertheless. He turned towards the other one: »Right, Nagi?«

»I'm hungry«, the white-haired boy simply stated.

You forced yourself to avert your gaze from him again and replied to Reo: »You're crazy, I like that! I'm sure you can achieve that with your determination and your skill. You two are a deadly combo.«

Although the team captain had a hard time forcing his friend, who regularly tried to sneak away to play games on his phone. His tries made you giggle every time.

»Oi, (Y/N), be some kind of help, would you?«, Reo complained as he dragged Nagi away from his phone again. You had messaged Mika to join the three of you, so that you could play 2 against 2. »Alright, so it's Hayase-kun and (Y/N) against Nagi and me.«, Reo explained with a smile on his face.

»He calls you by your first name?«, Mika exclaimed surprised.

»We call each other by our first names, yes«, you mischievously grinned at your best friend.

»Call me by my first name too, Reo-kun.«

»Alright, it's Mika, isn't it? Then leave the „kun". Reo is enough.«

A bright grin formed on Mika's lips and his eyes started shimmering: »Alright! And yes, Mika is correct!«

You smiled about the situation...and about Nagi who was already chilling on his phone again, what resulted in Reo scolding him.

Your football skills were above average indeed, yet Nagi and Reo scored one goal after another. Still, one time you managed to steal the ball from Reo. Mika had called it the Jack-of-all-trades-Battle. With a double pass between your best friend and you, you had managed to score one goal.

During a break, Reo was handing each of you a drink. He had sent his nanny to get some water for all of you. She has been very kind.

»Alright, should we switch up the teams?«, Reo asked in between his sips. Nagi was sitting cross-legged in front of you and gulped down his drink, seemingly being absentminded. But suddenly he turned towards you and looked you deep in your eyes, announcing to everyone: »I want to play with you, (Y/N)«

He...what? Really?

»Ah haha...«, you scratched the back of your head nervously. »Sure! Why not!«

»Then it's Mika and me against you two! I'm excited to see how much potential you can get out of Nagi, (Y/N).«, Reo smiled.

»Alright, team meeting!«, you exclaimed and went a few meters away from the others, gesturing Nagi to follow you. »So, what is your strategy?«, you asked him when he came to a halt in front of you.

God, he really is tall.

»I don't have one«, he simply stated.

»Huh? You mean Reo does all the thinking? No offence!«
You started reminiscing about what you had witnessed during their trainings match and the ones you just had played.
»Hmm...I always saw you running towards the goal. It seems like you're always positioned at the best place, as if you're only waiting for Reo's pass. Then you shoot and you score.«

»That's just what I do«

»Oh...so is this your strategy?«

»Reo came up with it«

»Did he say why?«

»He said I should just always be where I can score a goal from and wait for his passes there. I just would have to trust him. He says I have talent and asked me to grant it to him«

»Well, since when are you playing football?«

»Uh...how long ago did Reo found the club?«, he scratched the back of his head, his eyes looking slightly up as if he was in thought.

»Around one or two weeks ago I guess...?«, you thought back to the day when Mika told you he had joined a club Reo founded. »Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was in the middle of last week.«

»Ah yeah, since then«

»Wait, you're kidding me, right?«

»Hm? No, why?«

»You're playing since one and a half weeks and you're this skilled?! How did you even do that?!«

»It's easy, isn't it? I don't know the rules though...«

»You really are a genius. Especially at trapping and your shots are very powerful as well.«

It seems like Reo is the one making him shine though. As if he's getting the best out of Nagi.

»Alright«, you continued. »Then one last question before I come up with a strategy for us.«

»Why do you want to team up with me instead of Mika?«

»I don't know...somehow you seem a lot like Reo. You're most likely an Allrounder, while Hayase-kun is rather good at dribbling, but not that outstanding in the other qualities needed for football. You even scored one goal against Reo's and my deadly combo. You're the most amazing besides us here, (Y/N). I want to try playing with you.«

In this moment it felt like the whole world was coming to a halt, except for the trees who were swaying their limbs in the cool summer breeze which was slightly playing with your hair. Nagi's white strands were shuffling around his face and he looked at you with a determined expression.

»Alright«, you decided and gave him a confident grin. »Let's win this and make them kneel!«
