Episode 11

Atsushi, you and Kunikida sat on the stairs in silence as you looked at the sunset. While Atsushi thought he was dead, you still had some doubt in it. A person can't be that defenceless right after he knew he was taking a risk, right?

You looked at Kunikida since he was thinking about something, he didn't seem sad nor did he express any other emotion.

"Katai's always been a troublesome man. I dragged him out of his room and made him join the Detective Agency, but then he would bring his own futon to the office and live there," He spoke up.

"His futon? You mean Yoshika-San?" Atsushi asked.

"There's something I noticed in the footage we saw earlier"

"What?" 

"The futon Katai was in when he got shot wasn't Yoshiko."

I am assuming the futon is called Yoshiko.

"Katai wouldn't use another futon without a reason" He added.

You decided to speak up since you didn't want to feel like the third wheel, "I believe that the futon was bullet-proof?"

"That's right," He stood up, "In other words, Katai isn't dead"

You smiled and stood up with him.

"But how would he have escaped that situation?" Atsushi questioned.

"That's the problem"

"Someone deceived the Fyodor.." You answered, "I wonder who.."

[I was too lazy to write the Natsume-Sensei scene so I hope it's fine if we proceed to the "adadah" one- I also hope you don't mind if I write a bit of Shin Soukoku :')]

"Let go of me Dazai-San!"

"Nope! You two are going to start fighting with your special abilities again"

"But-"

"Adahdah! Please don't struggle so much. You're going to reopen the wound on my tummy"

"Cut out the drama Dazai, Atsushi-Kun, wiggle even more" You stated as you gave Dazai a slap on the back of his head.

"Ehh, Y/N-Chan that's meann, if so, you should go with them too!"

"Huh?? Why me?"

"Well, you're the only one who can babysit them.. Plus, according to Fyodor, someone wanted to meet you..."

"Tch.. Idiot", you gave him an annoyed look as look somewhere, someone who wanted to meet me?

"But.. Why is Akutagawa here for our retaliation mission to save the president?" Atsushi asked.

"Because that's my plan. I am going to have you three sneak into the enemy hideout together," Dazai explained, "The enemy base is an old abandoned coal mine, it's several hundred kilometres wide. The interior is packed with sensors and traps to stop intruders. Our main goal is the gifted who controls the virus unless we disable his ability, both bosses could die. Our secondary target is their leader, Fyodor"

"Isn't that all more the reason to keep him out of such an important mission? Akutagawa's hatred for me is beyond reason!" Atsushi exclaims, "There's no way the mission is going pan out"

"Y/N can handle you two~ but so he says, well?"

"I will carry out the mission." Akutagawa answers.

"Wow, you seem focused" You jokingly say.

"It's been four years since you've been under my command, huh?"

"Thankfully.." You interrupt him sarcastically.

"I hope to see you a little more capable now" 

"Yes, sir"

"You're actually Akutagawa right?" Atsushi asks, honestly weirded out by how Akutagawa was behaving.

"Yeah."

"You're going to cooperate with me in battle?"

"Yeah."

"Will go on a date with Atsushi~?" You tease him, hopefully trying to make him come back to reality.

Atsushi gave you a creeped out look while blushing slightly.

"Yeah."

Holy shi-

You started cracking up while Atsushi tried once again.

"What did you have for dinner last night?"

"Yeah"

Okay, he's not okay.

"Dude..?" Atsushi asked while giving him an even more creeped out look.

Soon you guys reached the place.

"Look at all those guards" Atsushi noted.

"They all have wireless communicators, if we fight, the enemy headquarters will know instantly" Dazai explained, he revealed how the sensors the vital signs will be sent to the headquarters every minute.

I see.. Then we had to go in stealth, something you were amazing at.

"Jinko, bear in mind two things.. Fall behind, and I'll leave you behind. Get in my way, and I'll kill you, understand?" Akutagawa blankly told him as he jumped above with his Rashomon. 

"Jeez.. I feel like a third wheel right now.." You said to yourself as you took water from the nearby plants and followed Akutagawa. You landed gracefully and saw how Akutagawa make a huge hole in the cave.

"Wow that's loud" You sighed.

"They left you behind" Dazai teased while giving Atsushi a closed-eye smile.

"I'll go too.."

You saw Atsushi catch up to you guys as you snickered silently. 

You and Dazai were on a small call since Dazai was a little worried about this certain 'someone', he knew you could handle yourself but that really didn't help how anxious he was about it. 

"Wait, Dazai-San told us to stick together"

"This is my first opportunity in four years to prove my superiority to Dazai-San. I'd in fact prefer that you'd be taken down early..", suddenly he activated his Rashomon to attack Atsushi but failed.

"How utterly slow of me, I ought to cut you down and report to him that the-"

"Aku.. Aku.. You're already strong mate" 

"If you want to fight, I am on! But if we fight-"

"Shut up both of you" You sternly said which caused both of them to seal their lips. One fact that was noted by both of them was that they shouldn't piss you off.

"Akutagawa, stop thinking about what's in front of you, also be aware of what is behind you and in the sides of you, enemies are everywhere. Atsushi, think about what you're going to say, it was painfully obvious you're gonna lead him to kill you.. I won't even help nor stop. Stop talking about Dazai for once.." You told them honestly. 

There was silence before Akutagawa broke it, "You're right L/N-San"

At first, you and Atsushi, both of you were a little bit shocked but then you just followed him. You felt like you pissed him off a little by bringing up Dazai but you weren't sure, you kept looking at him to check up but it was really unclear this time.

"Wait, Akutagawa! There's a detector ahead, if we get caught, they'll know we're here" Atsushi warned us. You heard at least two people walk-in, "Someone's coming" You informed them.

We were trapped. Akutagawa stepped forward and trapped them both in it.

"Don't kill them!" Atsushi said just in case.

"That's up to them"

"Wow okay, edge-lord"  You rolled your eyes.

Akutagawa gave you a perplexed look before talking to them, "Listen. Raise your voice without my permission and I'll kill you, got it?"

They both nodded their heads aggressively. Somehow the dirty blond guy looked really suspicious. You tried to tell Atsushi but he seemed really focused on Akutagawa as if he was really going to kill them.

You rubbed your head as you felt a slight headache and walked a bit away from the conversation, you had to trust Akutagawa with not killing them.

You soon started the call with Dazai for some distraction from the sudden weakness you were feeling.. Again.

"Hey Y/N~ How's the mission? Are they behaving?"

You smiled and answered him, "We found some members willing to help us I guess, I don't know, I don't trust one of them.. Anyways, I think I might have scared the shit out of Akutagawa and Atsushi"

"You? Scary? In your dreams"

"Oh shush"

"Any reason for the random call? Do you miss me that much~?"

"No, just that your annoying-ass helps me with my random headaches", you blushed slightly.

"I see, you're getting old"

"You're one year older than me mate"

You guys soon reached the door as Katai tried to open it. Even though you were on call with Dazai, that didn't stop you from keeping a look at that guy. Akutagawa and Atsushi had a conversation of their own but you didn't much mind into it, Dazai-This, Dazai-That was all they talked about. Sometimes you wanted to add on how many embarrassing things Dazai had done but then you decided not to. Maybe later.

The moment Katai said he found who the virus-controller was, you felt another massive pain in your head, you closed your eyes. The moment you opened them, you saw the dirty-blond pull out a gun and trying to shoot Akutagawa. You and Atsushi reacted at the same and pushed Akutagawa away. Unfortunately, it was too late.

There was a small cut on his left cheek.

Fuck.

You saw the other red-haired man on the ground, dead.

Atsushi tried following Pushkin while you tried helping Akutagawa.

Akutagawa put another trolley from which the virus-controller ran with. Akutagawa felt weak as fell down, you ran towards him as you realised you were right.. He was infected.

"Don't underestimate my small wounds--"

You tried to call Dazai but the connection was lost.

You saw as the ability started taking its effect.

"It's the.. Virus Ability" Atsushi's eyes widened.

Episode 12

We came on the so-called trolley [I don't know what you call it so yeah, I am sorry ;-;].

"The bastards are after me" You heard him say, we sure were. You heard Dazai call Atsushi, "Finally a connection" We were literally talking 5 minutes ago.

"I trust that you're chasing down the gifted controlling the virus. His virus infects the victim through open wounds. The fever and nausea makes it even more difficult to stand"

"Yeah no shit sherlock"

Dazai took a pause before continuing, "Don't let yourself be so much as grazed, I'll take care of Fyodor. Don't let the gifted out of your sight."

Akutagawa tried activating his ability and reaching him but he wasn't able to. 

The virus-controller turned on the bombs which caused the three of you to fall, you fell on your butt, but then you stood up and kept following him.

Akutagawa started riding on Atsushi while you made yourself an ice surfboard. You were a little left behind since they took half of the place ahead.

"Go faster than him! Also, you're an uncomfortable ride"

"Shut up"

These two are going to be the death of me.

There were more bombs but you all were able to get over them.

Atsushi jumped even further and got hit by many rocks.

They both fell down. You were going to help them but you suddenly got kicked by someone.
