Amelia jerked up from her bed after having another dream of her mother. Her mother kept repeating the same thing gloomly, to save someone's life.

Amelia sighed and wiped the sweat of her face and got up to get dressed to go the great hall for the breakfast.

It is been now almost two months since the second task and the third task was two months later, so the champions had a really long time to prepare themselves for it.

Reaching the great hall going straight to the hufflepuff table with a wide smile and sat beside him. He was already grinning at her.

"Someone seems to be in a really good mood" She said looking at his wide smile.

"Who isnt when they have pancakes in breakfast" He said grinning. Amelia shook her head at his love for pancakes. She remembered she also knows how to make pancakes and smirked.

"Um do you want to have pancakes made by me?" She asked in a playful manner. He widened his eyes in surprise.

"I didnt know you knew something more than just freezing ice in kitchen" He said amused, she glared at him playfully.

"Then you are unknown to most of the wonders of the world" She said with a small smirk.

"So when do I get have pancakes by these lovely hands?" He asked playfully kissing her hands, she slapped his hands away playfully.

"How about tonight?" She asked. He nodded eagerly grinning.

"I bet you will love them" She said.

"I hope i come alive back after eating them" He said dramatically.

"Oh i highly doubt that!" She said winking and getting up going to meet her cousin.

"I dont like the way Diggory keeps staring at you" Draco grumpled. Amelia rolled her eyes.

"Draco they are both in a relationship" Pansy said stating a fact.

"Still, everytime i look around he is staring at her like a creep" Draco said grumpily.

"I think admiring like a lover is better" Pansy corrected, Amelia shook her head smiling.

"But what are you gonna do when he is graduated after tournament?" Draco asked. Amelia never thought that they both will have to part after his graduation and would meet only twice a year.

"Well if you decided for something else, just remember there are a lot of boys out there" Blaise said winking. Amelia rolled her eye.

"I dont think i need to have a change" Amelia said smirking at his futile attempts. Draco from beside his cousin glared at him.

"Am i not even allowed to watch!?" Cedric called in the kitchen, Amelia was inside making pancakes for him and Trinky was appointed as a guard to watch over him.

"NO" Both Amelia and Trinky roared.

Cedric groaned banging his head on the table. Its been more than one hour and he had been sitting there and the pancakes were not ready yet. He even had a nap of twenty five minutes and still she was not done inside.

"Okay then I am leaving!" He called. Trinky picked up the basket of eggs warningly, he widened his eyes and sat back down horrified.

"Trinky I am sure you know what to do" Amelia called from inside.

"Trinky is told to throw eggs at Master Diggory if he leaves" Trinky answered confidently.

"Why are all girls so violent" Cedric grumpled.

"But I am getting bored Amelia, atleast let me come inside" He called desperately.

"Trinky sing him a song until I come" Amelia called. Trinky smiled and clamped her hands together and started singing in her squeaky shrill voice loudly standing in front of him. Cedric screamed in horror. Amelia's laughs echoed from inside.

"Here I am" Amelia came out wearing an apron after atleast a long twenty minute song was finished by Trinky. Amelia laughed on seeing an almost dead Cedric.

"Are you sure he is alive?" Amelia asked Trinky. Trinky tensed suddenly going near him and started weeping.

"Master Diggory! Master Diggory wake up! Trinky is a bad elf! Trinky should be punished-" As Trinky was about to bang her head on the wall Amelia laughed loudly and pulled her back.

"You are a lovely singer Trinky, he is just amazed" Amelia said grinning at the brown haired boy.

"Hello?" Amelia playfully approached him waving her hand infront of his face but then he suddenly stood up and grabbed her.

"That was a torture!- i mean a sweet one Trinky" Cedric said sweetly on the last part when Trinky had puppy dog eyes.

"Haww are you saying I, an innocent, fourth year girl, tortured you?" Amelia mocked still in his grasp.

"Yep, and you will face the consequences later, firstly where's thing i have waited for atleast one and a half hour?" He asked holding her.

"Trinky please brings the plate I prepared for Mr. Diggory" Amelia said smiling down at the elf. Trinky went inside obeying.

"You will feed me yourself" He said sitting on the chair and pulling her to sit on his lap. Amelia widened her eyes a slight blush forming on her face.

"Are you mad? What will Trinky think? Leave me!" Amelia said trying to fight his grip and getting up but failed.

"No love, thats what you get for keep me waiting." He said cheekily.

Trinky came out cheering happily with a plate of pancakes in her skinny hands. Lots of caramel on the pancakes was Amelia's way to hide the burnt parts of them.

"Seems like a work of art" Cedric said amused. Amelia wasnt sure whether he was being sarcastic or truthful.

"I have just made them once earlier, so you might get a bit bitter taste" Amelia said sheepishly smiling and putting a bite them in his mouth and waited for his reaction.

"Well?" She asked raising an eyebrow at him. He was still comprehending.

"Fine, i know they are not that good" She said getting up from his lap but he pulled her back.

"They are amazing" He choked out. Amelia rolled her eyes smiling and plopped a bite in her mouth and then gave him a deadpanned look.

"You said you'd never lie to me!" She exclaimed resisting the urge to vomit.

"Oh come on it was a harmless one" He said goofily. She shook her head folding her arms.

"Only if you had let me watch what disaster you were doing inside, it could have been better" He said playfully nudging her.

"You know how to make?" She asked raising an eyebrow.

"Are you forgetting dearie that i have spent seven years here and pancakes are my first love" He said as a matter of factly.

"Fine then teach me" She said standing up and going inside followed by him.

"First of all, you should be banned from kitchen" He said staring in front of the mess in disbelief. The kitchen in short, was a huge mess, all thanks to Amelia.

Cedric started to pick things up and place them correctly but was interrupted by her.

"Hardworking hufflepuffs" She said rolling her eyes and flicking her wand so all the mess was cleared up.

"Lazy gryffindors" Cedric mocked back.

"Can we start already 'cause i am starving" She groaned. He chuckled and started with his task. As Amelia stood beside him to help, he quickly picked her up and set her down on the counter in front of him, telling her to just watch the show.

"All you'll do is just cause trouble" He said mockingly, she stuck her tongue out at him.

"Hey you are doing it wrong!- oh right you know better" Amelia sat back again with a sheepish look. She watched him prepare batter and make pancakes.

Her whole concentration was suppossed to be on the stove but her eyes were glued to the chocolate boy.

"Am i not allowed to do anything?" She asked, He smiled shaking his head, she scowled folding her arms.

She could see how professionally he was doing and was thankful he didnt watch her do or he would surely call her a nerd. Her eyes darted to his face where a bit of batter was there and she tried hard to resist the urge to get up and wipe it.

"Here" He said serving her the pancakes, with a mocking bow.

"Wow so I would have to eat myself?" She asked sarcastically. But he wasted no time in picking her up pulling her in his lap again.

"You should stop doing that" She said playfully glaring at him to fight the blush.

"I dont see the reason to not, and shut up and have this" He said plopping a bite in her mouth. They were delicious for sure, but she wanted to play a bit.

"Why are these so extremely sweet?" She asked scrunching her face and saw him pulling a face.

"What? How is this even possible I put everything accordingly" He said frowning. Amelia chuckled and pulled his face to clean the batter on his cheek with her lips. He looked at her amused a slightly blushing.

"What? You had something there it was irritating me" She said casually and enjoying eating the pancakes.

"So I take it they were good?" He asked holding her in his lap.

"Um they were fine, like 6 out of 10"

"Hey!"

"Okay sorry- they were good- stop Cedric- Trinky Save me!" Amelia said between laughs because he started tickling her sides.

"What happened to Mistress Black?" Trinky came yelling and calmed down when saw both Cedric and Amelia sitting on the counter, Amelia in his lap laughing loudly.

"Oh Trinky bring my bag please!" Amelia said still laughing but remembering something. Trinky quickly got her bag.

"There's a camera in it, click us a picture" Amelia said smiling. Cedric grinned at her.

"Aww so sweet" He gushed cheekily.

"Shut up and look there" Amelia said pushing his face in front.

"Nope I will look here" He said turning back to Amelia, she blushed meanwhile Trinky captured a picture.

"Trinky one more" Cedric said started tickling her. Trinky captured on picture again, Amelia laughing loudly with a plate of pancakes in her hands sitting in his lap on the counter.

Both stayed in kitchen for the whole evening, amd decided not to go to the great hall for dinner. It was now dark and only a dim light in the kitchen was on. Both were laying on the kitchen floor watching outside the window.

"I like stars" She said watching the sky full of stars.

"I like stars too" He said turning to her smiling softly. She chuckled and turned to him. She stared at him with a smile.

"Cedric have you ever thought that this is your last year here?" She asked. He could see she was not very happy about this question. He nodded.

"And then you will graduate and go somehwere else, maybe to some other country" She continued. He nodded again.

"You will too one day" He said offering her a smile.

"But you will be gone first" She said with a weak smile.

"And you will miss me?" He asked cheekily. She nodded with a genuine weak smile, no sign of cheekiness or joking on her face.

"What have you decided to do after hogwarts?" She asked.

"Maybe I will work in the ministry" He said shrugging. He saw her expression and knew instantly what she was thinking.

"Sorry I cannot work as a professor and teach here at hogwarts" He said, she chuckled shaking her head.

"How can everyone read my mind so easily?" She asked amused.

"Besides I didnt think for a teacher, I though you could work here in this kitchen, Trinky will accompany you and I would come daily to meet you" She said grinning.

"You are unbelievable" He said shaking his head.

"Fine I know you'd not want to meet me after graduation and will forget me" she said playfully glaring at him.

"Probably" He said shrugging but instantly chuckled when saw Amelia's reaction.

"Just joking, I would never forget a girl like you, who can read five books in a day but cannot make simple pancakes" He said mockingly.

"Oh kill me please" She said turning away but he pulled her back.

"I will never forget you" He said emphasising each word. A smile crept on her face.

"Besides its not like I am going to another world, I would come frequently to visit you and make sure no onle else it hitting on you" He said grinning.

"You can never be serious" she said shaking her head smiling.

"I cant be your father" He said shrugging cheekily.

Amelia paused on the mention of her father. She hadn't heard from his who knows how long. She mentally made a not to write to him soon.

"You know my father still doesnt like you" She said grinning.

"What? Why?" He asked offended.

"Dunno, maybe he thinks you are playing with me" Now it was her turn to play.

"Please, Atleast Professor Lupin likes me, he is the wise one" Cedric said smirking.

"What about Sev? He can even through you in a boiling cauldron" Amelia said laughing.

"Your whole family is scary, even that little pompous git-"

"Hey Draco is nice, just not to everyone" Amelia said defending her cousin.

"Are you seriously defending him even after knowing he coloured a first year's head neon green just because she said he looks like a vampire" Cedric exclaimed, Amelia laughed at the memory from last year.

"Even i thought that for once when i first met him" She said laughing.

"He says you will surely forget me after your graduation" Amelia said going 'serious'.

"Well screw him, because that wont be happening anytime soon" He said draping an arm around her.

"What about you? How can I be sure that after I leave you wont be with having an secret affair with weasley?" He asked wiggling his eyebrows.

"Oh for the love of god Fred is a friend, you jealous twat" Amelia said banging her head on his shoulder.

"Besides I can assure you I wont be forgetting you anytime soon too" She said in a whisper smiling.

"Is that a promise?" He asked, his face just inches away from hers.

"Promise" She said in a whisper placing a hand on his cheek and leaning in to lock her lips with his.
