The whole world around Amelia seemed to fade, she just stared wide eyed to the man standing in front of her. It was her father. It was her murderer father. She was finding it unable to breath, she didnt knew how long was she holding the breath. When the terrible looking man darted his eyes towards her, her breath hitched, she was finding it unable to utter a single word. The dead silence was broken by him.

"Hello Amelia and Harry." He said, his voice raspy like he hasn't spoken to anyone since a very long time. On the mention of her name from his mouth Amelia shuddered before she could speak anything Harry launched himself on her father.

"Sirius Black!" Harry roared while holding sirius' neck throwing him on the ground with himself on the top of him, "You sold out my parents you are the reason they are dead, I will kill you." He continued. Sirius chuckled on the aggressiveness of his godson.

"No Harry, firstly listen me out or you are going to regret it." Sirius said.

"No I will kill you right away, I will avenge my parents!" Harry growled.

"Harry leave him get off!" Hermione said worriedly pulling Harry from the top of him.

"If you are going to kill him, you will have to kill us first." Hermione said standing in front of Harry .

"No, only one will die here tonight." Sirius growled. All of them stiffened on their spots.

"No, dont you dare!" Shouted Amelia reaching out dor her wand and pointing it at her father. The fury in her eyes caused Sirius' face to mould in hurt and sadness.

"Listen Amelia-" Sirius began but was cut off by the opening of door. Remus emerged wide eyes, gaining everybody's attention. His eyes roamed around the room and settled on his former best friend. Then on his goddaughter who held a wand in her hand pointing it on her father. He could read every emotion on her face on seeing her father and knew what exactly the girl was feeling. He gave her an apologetic and reassuring smile and turned to his old friend.

"Remus my old friend!" Sirius exclaimed bringing his friend in an embrace and Remus hugged back, startling everyone making them stare wide eyed.

"Remus what are you doing?! " Amelia exclaimed.

"We trusted you and you were with him the whole time!" Hermione said in disgust.

"No Hermione let me explain it to you-" Remus started but was cut of by him.

"Harry you know he is a werewolf he might be planning to murder you with him." Hermione said pointing towards Sirius making Amelia's blood boil in anger. Amelia clenched her fists and marched towards her, grabbing her by collar.

"How dare you Granger accuse him of this?!" Amelia growled, Hermione's eyes filled with fear. Remus came forward and tried to separate them by pulling Amelia.

"Amelia listen its alright leave her." He said as he tried to sush her.

"No Remus its not alright I will not let her do this to you or say anything about your lycanthropy!" Amelia shouted furiously.

"Amelia leave her and let me talk." Remus said in a stern voice pulling Amelia by shoulders. Sirius had a amused grin plastered on his face, watching the scene of his daughter being all protective about Remus just like he used to be in his school days.

"Hermione how did you know about my lycanthropy?" Remus asked calmly.

"Since Professor Snape!s essay, since then I have been observing that you were always missing on the full moon days and I put them all together and.." Hermione trailled off, sensing Amelia's blood boil beside her.

"You really are the smartest witch of your age Hermione." Remus said

"But if anyone knows about this secret I will make sure you are a mute witch." Amelia said dangerously stepping forwards towards her. Hermione gulped and nodded. Amelia turned and looked at both Harry and Ron, they as well shook their heads to not to tell anyone.

"Calm down you." Remus whispered in Amelia's ear by pulling her in his side.

"Wait what?— Snape as in Snivellus?" Sirius asked, Amelia's head snapped in his direction on hearing the word and she gave a slight glare towards him which went unnoticed.

"Yes Sirius, Snape is potions Professor in here, in hogwarts." Remus replied.

"Okay so now I have some unfinished business to attend to." Sirius said looking towards ron, "You boy."

"Whi me? what did I do, you insane man." Ron said, his voice trembling.

"Not you, your r-" Sirius said but was cut off by the opening of door everyone turned to look who has arrived. As soon as Amelia saw who it was she muttered a quick 'game over' under her breath.

"Ah vengeance is sweet, look who do we have here, oh how I wished to be the one to throw you for the dementors." Came Snape's voice.

"Oh hello Snivellus, amused to see your hair is still greasy as always, you haven't changed." Sirius mocked.

"Sirius now this is not the time." Remus tried to sush him

"Oh shut it Remus, so hows your chemistry set going on snivelly?" Sirius mocked again like a child stepping towards Severus. Amelia watched all three of them curiously, especially sirius thinking 'Is this man's really my father?'

"Sirius." Remus warned.

"Oh look at you two quarrelling like an old married couple." Sev taunted.

The four kids watched them amused, sensing their stares the three men cleared their throats and Severus began again "So Black, how about I hand you over to Dumbledore directly and then let the dementors have their feast?" He said in his monotonous voice.

"So you still poke your overly large nose in other people's business." Sirius said marching towards him. And Severus was fast enough to raise his wand and was about to mutter a spell. But was cut off by Harry.

"Expelliarmus!" shouted Harry towards Snape's direction and he went flying crashing in the wall.

"You attacked a teacher!" Exclaimed Hermione.

"Sev!" Amelia exclaimed running towards him wide eyed and found that he passed out. Anger grew more in Amelia's eyes she was quick enough to clutch her wand harshly and was ready to shoot Potter. Remus who knew what was about to happen quickly disarmed Amelia, making her look at him dumbfounded.

"What! You too remus! Whose side are you on!?" Exclaimed Amelia glaring daggers at her godfather, showing betrayal in her eyes.

"Amelia calm down, severus will be fine." Remus tried to sush her.

"Give me my wand I will calm down." Amelia said trying to sound calm, but Remus knew not to return her wand. Harry quietly hoped for the same.

"No you will not get it untill I find you calm." Remus said sternly.

"Remu-" Amelia started but was cut off by her father.

"Amelia listen please, now is not the time, I have some explaining to do." Sirius tried calm his daughter and by listening his voice, her name uttered from his mouth she couldnt dare speak anything. meeting his eyes she saw pain? She felt herself melt, she felt like for the first time she could trust him. She nodded and looked away

"You want to explain, what do you have to explain that how you betrayed my parents, its because of you I am an orphan, because of you I had live with those wretched Dursleys!" Harry roared making Sirius flinch.

"Potter lets listen him out once, I have been waiting ages for that." Amelia said quietly, the last part coming out not more than a whisper, Harry nodded reluctantly.

"Harry are you seriously listening to her, she is just defending her father, he is after you harry, he is on to kill you and you want to listen him." Hermione exclaimed but was cut off by Harry.

"Hermione I am too longing for an explanation, please." Harry said while glancing at Amelia gaining the faintest smile. Giving an encouraging nod to Sirius to start.

"So listen Harry I will explain everything from start, I am Sirius Black, your god father and Amelia's father." He said while glancing at Amelia.

"I was friends with your parents, your father and I were like brothers, when I was disowned by my family, your father got me in in his family. I seeked shelter in his house." He continued while smiling.

"When we were at hogwarts we had a group called marauders, it was me, your father, Remus and Peter Pettrigrew." He snarled at the last name.

"The night when your parents died, it was not me who sold them out, it was Peter Pettrigrew, he was appointed as the gates keeper by your parents, but he spilled everything to the dark lord. I was at my house with my family when I heard the news that night." His eyes hardened at the mention of his family and Amelia was listening every word come out of his mouth with the most curiousity.

"When I got there and found out James and Lily were dead, I was enraged, I couldnt hold it, I set out for finding Peter and kill him that moment. I decided to take you to my house but Dumbledore sent Hagrid and ordered you to be taken to your muggle relatives. I told Hagrid I am your godfather and I would take care of you but he didnt listen. Then I just wanted to find peter and kill him but he killed 12 muggles while dueling with me, it was a huge blast, he ran away, then the aurors came there and they arrested me."

"I was being taken to azkaban, I couldn't even meet my family, my wife my daughter. I was on my way and then a ministry worker told me that my wife was dead, some death eaters came and captured her, killed her. I remember she was constantly telling me to calm down, not to take any wrong step but I didnt listen to her, I- I left her alone in the house with my daughter." He finished with tears pooling in his eyes. Amelia was finding it hard to listen and believe everything, she herself had tears brimming in her eyes, but she swallowed them back as Sirius continued.

"And then that bastard Peter lived as a rat in his house." He snarled pointing his finger at Ron.

"What?" Ron croaked scared.

"Now boy its enough of this give me this rat." Sirius said.

"No way, I am not giving Scabbers, he's been in my family for years." Ron said stubbornly holding his filthy rat.

"And how many years?" Sirius asked.

"Twelve years." Ron said gulping.

"And dont you think twelve years is rather a long lifespan for a garden rat." Sirius said.

"No, it cant be true Scabbers is just a rat." Ron argued.

"Isnt he missing a toe?" Sirius asked suggestively.

"Yes." Ron said shortly.

"And the only thing they could find of Peter Pettrigrew was--" Sirius asked and then it clicked everyone.

"A toe." Said Amelia and Harry in unison. Ron's eyes widened everyone stared at the filthy rat.

"Now if you have understood the matter give me the rat and Remus let us do the deed." Sirius said turning towards his friend. Ron handed the rat to him and both sirius and remus muttered a spell pointing their wands at the rat. Soon the rat transformed into a filthy awful man. All children cringed upon the sight. It was peter Pettrigrew. He tried to run again but sirius and remus dragged him in.

"Hello there Peter." Sirius said bitterly.

"Sirius, Remus, my old friends, its so good to see you again." The awful man exclaimed.

"You bloody rat how dare you! I will kill you right away." Sirius snarled holding Peter's collar but was pulled back by Remus.

"Sirius calm down." Remus said.

"No Moony he betrayed us he betrayed Lily and James because of him I lost my wife and I have to spend 12 years away from you all in that prison, and you are asking me to CALM DOWN!" Sirius bursted out.

"I am sorry I am sorry." Peter's disgusting voice came which seemed frightened.

"You are sorry you betrayed us and you are sorry." Sirius roared again.

"I was caught by them and had to do it otherwise they would have killed me, what would you have done Sirius." Peter said.

"Died I would have died rather than betray my own friends." Sirius exclaimed.

"And now Pettrigrew its your time to be locked in azkaban." Remus said threateningly .

"Please forgive me please." Peter squeaked. Turning towards harry, he continued. "Harry my boy, you look just like your father, if it were your father he would have forgiven me." Harry backed away from the scabby man. Then he turned to Hermione.

"You smart girl, clever girl tell them its not right to do this to their friend." Hermione too backed away making a disgusted face.

"Amelia, you look just like your mother, she was so kind and ambitious, she was my friend she wouldnt want this for me." Amelia glared at each word harder.

"How dare you speak of Lily James and Sierra to Harry and Amelia you filthy rat!" Sirius roared pointing his wand at peter. Amelia just heard one word 'Sierra' her mothers name was Sierra , she never knew her name or anything about her.

"Sirius wait." Harry stopped Sirius who was pointing his wand at Peter, bringing Amelia back from her trance. "You will not kill him, no one will." Harry said looking around everyone. Earning a bewildered look from Sirius.

"Harry this man is the reason your parents are not with us today." sirius tried to explain.

"I know we will take him back to Hogwarts and hand him over to the aurors." Garry said. 'He's got some brains.' Thought Amelia.

"Very well." Remus said leading everyone out.
