august 28th, 2021

eleven days. it was eleven days past the 17th. with meant that's how many days it was past austin's birthday

his 30th birthday to be exact

della felt so awful she didn't celebrate with him or anything. well, she texted him happy birthday but that was it

her not being there to celebrate his birthday with him, made the young woman feel a pit of guilt for the last few days

she knew austin had been so focused with filming his new movie to know that he currently wasn't in contact with his sister and dad

the man spent his birthday by himself journaling and recovering until he had to be on set again

for him it was very peaceful and he didn't mind it, though a part of him wished he could've had della next to him, bringing energy and having activities planned

however,  now that the two adults were back together the monet girl did have activities planned

she felt so horrible she wasn't there to celebrate his birthday with him

which is why della was going to give a austin a redo birthday. to her, turning 30 was a big deal and went she heard what he did on his real birthday the girl almost about cried

there was no way she was going to that be the memory austin thought of when he thought about his 30th birthday

journaling? really

the girl was getting ready for the day while austin spoke to his management team about upcoming scenes and promos

as della finished her makeup the door bell rang and she ran down to get it

partially because she most likely knew what was at the other side of the door. austin got off the phone as della opened the door to a singular cardboard box on the doorstep

she carefully lifted the box trying to hide her smile because she knew what was in the box

"austin baby there's box with your name on it down here!"

immediately the male walked over "what is it?" he looked to his girlfriend who just laughed "I don't know I didn't order anything thing."

"I didn't either." austin cautiously side eyed the woman as she "sneakily" began recording "ok dels i can tell when you're lying. honey what's in the box."

he tried to get answers out of her but she knew what was in the box would probably start acting out soon if it wasn't opened quickly

"just open it aus!" she couldn't contain her excitement anymore and was cheesing

opening the cardboard box austin was immediately met with an american eskimo dog with fluffy white fur

it began jumping up and wagging its tail making the male instantly break out in a smile. and almost shedding a few tears

"della you did not." he held the dog in his arms and walked over the his girlfriend. she nodded with a huge grin "i did! it's always nice to have a friend even if it's a fur friend but i also know we both want another edition to this house.."

she paused for a second with a sad smile "but we have to take what we can get. oh also! i'm giving you a redo birthday."

"my birthday was 11 days ago della." austin held a blank expression on his face and when the girl in front of him heard this she playfully whined

"i knowww, but i wasn't here to celebrate it with you and you spent the day journaling. journaling austin!"

he couldn't help but laugh "hey whats wrong with journaling." he lightly pushed her shoulder in a funny manner

"nothing baby." she smiled and gave him a light kiss "but. you're starting a new era. you're 30, you have a new movie coming out soon and multiple projects after that, we're in a good place and this a new decade. you have sooo much going on and i am so so unbelievably proud of you that i want to celebrate you and i want you to have fun too."

their eyes locked and austin nodded with a slight tinge of shyness creeping onto his face

she tore away from his gaze and happily clapped making the dog bark "so what are you going to name him!"

"i really like the name milo. i feel like it fits you know." he spun the dog to face him and fluffed the fur baby's hair

della was smiling so hard her cheeks were hurting "no that's so cute, milo it is. welcome to the household! now let's go get you ready before we're late to our pottery class."

he furrowed his brows laughing "pottery? i feel like i don't remember telling you i liked making pottery when i was younger."

"i know everything, you know this boy." she gave a smirk and tilted her head at him

"now go get ready for you're thirtieth birthday day!" she loudly accentuated the last three words yelling excitedly

after the two did their pottery class, della decided to take the man shopping to wherever he wanted

they had wrapped it up and went back to della's house. austin thought the day was done here

but when he saw his girlfriend getting ready in the bathroom he gave a her glance before wrapping his arms around her waist from behind

"dels why are you getting ready"

he tiled his head to the side as he got no answer. della just smiled and continued applying her makeup

finally after a few seconds of silence the girl quietly laughed "just go get ready aus, and wear something fancy"

he nodded and went to go put on a white button down and navy blue slacks

after about 20 minutes they were both ready and getting into the car. della decided she was driving which made the male even for curious

but he kept his curiosity to himself

over in the drivers seat della was fighting demons trying not to smile or give away the surprise

she was so so happy to have her man back and wanted to do something really really special for him

they came to a stop in front of a restaurant where all amela, nova, and lina all stood outside with their partners

immediately austin darted his gaze to della as she and everyone else began laughing

"surprise!" the younger monet twin couldn't contain her excitement anymore "austin since you and i are back together and going strong the girls and i have a special gift to you."

della's sister and two friends watched as austin walked in front with della into the restaurant

the male couldn't help but ask, now he really was curious but also confused

"della, seriously what's going on?" a small smile crept its way onto his face as the eight of them sat down at a table "well you gave me a promise ring, and to me that is scared and so i wanted to give you something scared."

"you are officially the first partner to be included in the birthday dinners! you've only ever been invited to the dinners, but never have you gotten your own one."

the girl gave him a side hug, as they were sitting next to to each other

she could see tears were building in austin's eyes, oh my boy is so such a deep feeler, she thought

it was so heartwarming to see him get so emotional over something that could be seen so small. but he knew how much these birthday dinners truly meant to della, amela, catalina, and nova; and to now be apart of it was an overwhelming feeling of joy

"della, are you being serious right now." he tried his hardest not to let his voice crack

"yes i am!" she gave him a kiss on the cheek "happy thirtieth birthday baby. i love you."

the girls along with daniel, theo, and maia all cheered and were beyond happy for the two of them
