hi bubs!! i apologize for how late i'm posting this, but i wanted to get it up on christmas eve (there's literally only 20 minutes till christmas for me lmao) because this chapter is christmas eve day :))
enjoy!!!
"Are you sure your parents are okay with me staying here?" I ask nervously, furrowing my brows with concern.
With Pansy's approval, and a letter to her from her parents saying they'd love have to me over, I was planning to stay at the Parkinson manor the first few weeks of winter break.
"Seeing as we're quite literally already in front of my house- I'd say it's a little too late to back out." Pansy laughs quietly, picking up her trunk to begin walking up to the door. "Plus, mum said she's very excited that someone else will get to see her 'new floors'."
I huff humorously, picking up my trunk as well. "Can't wait," I mutter sarcastically.
"Won't have to wait long at all." She responds quietly, raising her eyebrows as she knocks on the door.
Her mother answers only a few seconds later, her friendly smile and high pitched welcoming making it obvious she was waiting for us. "Hi girls!" She says excitedly, hugging us both at the same time.
I had known her mum since our first year at Hogwarts, as I visited Pansy over the few breaks we had throughout the year. She was a nice lady, though something about her niceness made it obvious that she was trying to cover up her husband's grumpiness and sarcasm.
"Hi Mrs. Parkinson," I smile sweetly at her as she gestures for us to come in.
A house elf takes my trunk from my hand almost immediately, causing me slight confusion before I realize it's normal for their house elves to do such actions.
"Perseus! The girls are here!" Daria (Pansy's mother) calls out, a fake smile upon her face to hide her panic. "So! How have you two been?"
"We've been good mum," Pansy responds, giving her mother a sweet yet fake smile.
Pansy had never gotten along too well with her mum. Their personalities didn't go together very well, nor did their opinions. Though the thing that seemed to annoy Pansy the most, was her mother's want and need for her to marry into the Malfoy family.
"Well thats good," Daria responds, a small sigh leaving her mouth as we all stand awkwardly near the door. "Well um- would you fancy some tea?"
"Nice of you to offer mum but I think Y/n and I are gonna go get situated upstairs," Pansy presses her lips together, glancing at me before looking back to her mother.
"Oh right, right! You go do that, I'm sure you'll see your father soon enough." Daria says, a bit of panic and pity in her voice.
"Yeah..." Pansy responds quietly, nodding slowly before we both begin to walk up their tall staircase.
"Oh!" I suddenly say, remembering what Pansy had said. "I love the new floors, Mrs. Parkinson," I smile down at her, turning around.
"Why thank you Y/n!" She responds excitedly, grinning at me.
After a few more moments of walking up the stairs, we get to the top. There were two different corridors to turn into, though from many memories here, I knew Pansy's room was to the right.
"You know you don't have to pity my mum, right?" Pansy says once we get into her room, flopping into the chair in front of her desk.
"I know I don't have to but-" I sigh, sitting down on her bed. "I can't help it. The poor woman acts like its her job to cover up your father's behavior."
"Well," Pansy inahles sharply, "it sort of is." She says hesitantly, spinning back in forth in her chair.
I glare at her, slipping my shoes off and laying back on the bed.
"I'm not meaning to be offensive, Y/n, it's just the truth. You marry into a grumpy pureblood family, you pay the consequences of having a spoiled and grumpy husband."
I chew the inside of my cheek, sighing quietly. "Would this apply if you married Blaise?"
"Who said that would ever happen," She responds, and I can practically hear the smile in her voice.
I laugh quietly at her inability to lie. "Well speaking of Blaiseee-" I wiggle my eyebrows, sitting up and smirking at her. "Tell me. Everything."
She bites her bottom lip to hide her smile, slowly getting up and walking over to me. "What would you like to know?"
"How deaf are you Pans? I said everything." I roll my eyes dramatically.
She huffs humorously, sitting in front of me on the bed. "Well- he was being very nice and respectful, as you said he would be." She smiles as she talks. "And it was all going great y'know, lots of passion and love and sweet kisses,"
She pauses for a moment, her smile slowly fading causing me to furrow my brows. "And?"
"And um- well it was about to... happen- and," She pauses again, avoiding my eye contact. "It um... wouldn't fit."
My eyes widen, and my lips part with shock. "It... it wouldn't-?"
"Fit. Yes." She bites her lip nervously, still avoiding my eyes. "And after awhile it was fine y'know it was-... in. I just thought I'd let you know in case you happen to experience something similar."
I force my lips together, trying to hide my smile. There was a part of me that felt bad she had to experience this, though another part of me couldn't help but be childish at the thought.
"I can see your smile," She rolls her eyes, trying to hide her own smile.
"I swear I really tried to hide it!" I finally laugh, feeling slightly bad at my horrible timing.
"Sure you did," She pushes my shoulder playfully, grabbing a pillow and hitting it on my head.
"Wait wait stop!" I say dramatically, earning her slight panic. "So- if it couldn't fit... must mean its pretty.." I pause, smirking as I put my hands together before slowly pulling them apart.
"Shut up I'm not saying anything about that!" She laughs, shaking her head.

During the next week spent at the Parkinson manor, Pansy and I got lots of Christmas shopping done, while also making sure to do many Christmas traditions. It was honestly one of the best Christmas' I've ever had.
Now, it was Christmas Eve.
"Girls! Everybody will be here in only a few minutes!" Daria knocks on Pansy's door, hurrying us to get ready quicker.
"Got it mum!" Pansy yells back, straightening her bangs.
We had planned a Christmas Eve dinner, inviting the Zabinis, Malfoys, and my dad. Though Pansy and I found it quite sad that her parents wouldn't allow the Nott's over for dinner, which gave us the idea to invite Theo only.
"How do I look?" Pansy asks, turning around from looking at herself in the mirror.
"You look amazing," I huff humorously, admiring how well her fashion sense was.
"Why thank you," She responds, giving me a small curtsy.
After putting on a bit of lipgloss, which finished my look, we were called down to greet the families.
"Hey!" My father greets me right as I get down the staircase. I grin widely at him before quickly walking to him and hugging him.
It was a wonderful feeling to see him again, especially to see him with a smile upon his face.
"Hi dad," I mumble, still hugging him tightly.
We hadn't talked since I learned of mum's wedding, meaning I didn't know if he had heard of it. Though I very much hoped he hadn't.
After a moment of hugging, we separate as the front door opens again, the Malfoys and Zabinis walking in.
"Ah, Narcissa! Valentina!" Daria grins widely at Draco and Blaise's mothers, giving them each a quick hug and peck on the cheek. It almost made me laugh how fancy pureblood families were.
"Lucius," Pansy's father shakes Lucius Malfoy's hand, greeting him with a nod and a friendly smile.
My father parts from me to say hello to Lucius, causing Draco, Blaise, and Theoโ who I hadn't noticed walk inโ begin to walk over to Pansy and I. They were all dressed in nice suits, their attitudes on the best behavior from their parents being only feet away.
"Good evening Miss Parkinson and Miss Y/l/n." Blaise greets us, taking Pansy's hand in his own and bringing it up to kiss it. She rolls her eyes at his fanciness, though ultimately smiles at the joke.
My eyes begin to wander to the two other boys, giving a small smile to Theo and practically drooling at Draco's appearance. Not like that was new though.
"The adults and I are going to have a cup of tea, why don't you give our guests a house tour?" Daria asks sweetly, placing a hand gently on Pansy's arm.
"Oh ok, sure." Pansy responds, giving her mum a small smile. "Right this way everyone,"
We all begin to follow her, the parents going a separate direction.
"Thats the kitchen," Pansy mumbles, her voice more tired with a hint of annoyance. "Living room," She points a different direction. "These-" She points down. "These are stairs."
"Truly fascinating," Theo grins sarcastically as we all begin to walk up the large staircase.
Draco huffs humorously at his joke, pulling up his sleeves to show his forearms.
"Rooms," Pansy points to the left once we're up the stairs. "Rooms," She says again, pointing to the right. After a quiet sigh, she begins to lead us to the right. "And," She smiles, stopping at a door. "My room."
The boys all walk slowly into her room, clearly hesitant by the idea.
"You sure we're allowed to be in here?" Theo questions, looking around.
"It's my room. I say yes." Pansy shrugs.
Theo nods, picking up the picture frame on her bedside table to look at it. Blaise sits in the chair near the desk, rolling around a bit. Draco stays near the door, leaning against the wall next to it.
"So- whats for dinner?" Theo asks, glancing around more of the room.
I walk over to her bed, sitting on the end of it. I found it quite hard to not look at Draco the whole time everyone was talking, though if I continued to focus in not looking at him, I didn't.
"Dunno, mum never told me," Pansy presses her lips together, walking over to sit on Blaise's lap.
"Well-" Blaise begins, smiling at Pansy. "Did your mum tell you that we are going to spend Christmas morning with you guys?"
My lips part slightly in shock, though I can't help the small smile that begins to grow on my lips. It sounded wonderful, truly, to spend Christmas with them.
"Huh..." Pansy smirks. "No, she didn't."
I finally meet Draco's eyesโ who I'd felt on me for the past few minutesโ a pure smile upon his lips. I knew he was happy about this, it was obvious.
I begin to smile as well, avoiding his eye contact. His smile was contagious, as it always had been.
