Hi bubs!:)) I'm sorry I'm literally so bad at this song thing but lots of different emotions happen in this chapter so there's really no song to describe it all lol.

Anyways, hope you enjoy!

At around 9:30 P.M. I decide it's a good time to head to the astronomy tower.

The whole time at dinner, I felt as though Draco kept glancing at me. He didn't necessarily seem happy, sad, or mad, he just seemed confused. It felt as though he was thinking a lot, as though he wanted to say something but couldn't think of the words.

I didn't say anything to him though, I knew I could just ask him about it in the astronomy tower.

As I finally entered the tower, I noticed he hadn't gotten there yet. I glance around slightly, before walking over to the railing. I look up, admiring the stars in all of their beauty.

I always liked how quiet stars were. They felt peaceful, almost like they were listening, not in a creepy way though. It always felt like I could tell the stars all my problems, I could vent to them, and they'd understand. They wouldn't necessarily say anything in return, but they'd understand.

I took a couple deep breaths in, closing my eyes. When I exhaled, I open my eyes, smiling at the many wonderful beauties up in the sky.

I rested my chin in my hands, my elbows leaning on the railing. My body was slightly bent down, but I was still standing.

"Hey," a quiet voice came from behind me.

I surprisingly wasn't too startled by the sudden noise. I guess it was because I was expecting him anytime, but it also seemed to be how gentle his voice sounded. Draco rarely talked in his quiet, gentle voice, but when he did, it was nice, calming even.

"Hey," I respond, glancing over my shoulder and smirking weakly at him.

It was almost weird how relaxed he was when we were alone. His attitude didn't consist of being a total jerk with no one around, it was nice though.

He walked slowly over to the railing, standing a foot or so away from me.

"Why didn't you tell me?" He asks, turning his head to look at me.

"I'm sorry?" I respond, puzzled by his question.

"About your mom, why didn't you tell me?"

A spark of panic rushes through my body at his words. How did he know? I surely didn't tell him, and wasn't really planning on it either. Is this why he seemed so confused at dinner? Is this why he wanted to meet? To confront me for not telling him something that was extremely personal to me? Thoughts rushed through my mind. How was I going to respond to that?

"What are you talking about?" I ask quietly, hoping maybe he means something other than my mother leaving me this summer.

"You know what I'm talking about, Y/l/n." He speaks more sternly.

I swallow thickly, realizing that I definitely knew what he was talking about. I preferred to prepare myself for occasions like these. I liked planning out what to say, but now I couldn't, now I had to speak the truth because I had no time to make up excuses.

"How did you find out?" I sigh, my head still turned to look at the stars.

"My father apparently met up with yours," he started, his gaze straight ahead. "He sent me a letter today, telling me to 'comfort' you." Draco pauses, laughing lightly at the thought.

"Oh," I say softly, still processing everything.

There's a moment of silence between us. I really didn't know what to say at the moment, and I'm sure Draco is pretty uncomfortable with all the emotional stuff.

"Do you want to talk about-"

"No." I interrupt him.

Although it was a kind gesture, I didn't feel any need to, especially with Draco Malfoy. I didn't want to spill my guts out, sobbing as I spoke. I didn't want to feel such sadness, over something that the other person probably barely cared about.

He nodded his head slowly, his fingers playing with his rings.

I look over at him, a sigh escaping my lips.

"I'm sorry I jus-"

"No, no I get it." He says, turning his head to meet my gaze.

He smiles weakly at me, showing that he's telling the truth. I return the gesture, turning my head back to look straight ahead.

Another comfortable silence between us fills the air, as I thought about and admired his words. It really did seem like he understood.

My first 2 classes the next day go normally, they always do. My next class was muggle studies and although I liked to think I was excited for it because of the subject, I couldn't lie that seeing Neville was also a big part of the excitement.

He always seemed to make my school days just a little bit brighter. I loved hearing him talk about plants and random facts he learned from different classes, or textbooks. He was truly a very entertaining and interesting boy if you got to know him.

As I walk into class, I head to the desk that I sat behind on the first day of school. Neville was already there, smiling sweetly at me, a small, pointy, plant in front of him.

I smile back at him, giving a curious look at the plant. There was always something new he had to tell me in class, making it an exciting game of 'what's Neville got today?'

"What's that you've got?" I ask, sitting down beside him.

"Well- Professor Sprout asked if I wanted to have a side project and grow this plant to help her with one of the spells she's going to teach us in class." He answers, grinning widely at me then at the plant.

"Oh how neat!" I answer, trying not to sound overly excited.

"Yeah," He clears his throat. "I wanted to bring it to my classes with me today. I didn't want anything bad to happen to it." He says, a proud smile appearing on his face.

"Smart thinking," I smile at him, before turning my attention to our Professor who started talking.

The rest of the class goes by quickly, Neville helping me with notes, and me helping him as well. I liked how we made the class much more enjoyable by just helping each other out. It was something I wasn't very used to, coming from Slytherin, but I definitely enjoyed it.

Later that day, I was walking through some of the corridors with Pansy. We had just finished transfiguration with Mcgonagall and decided to head back to the common room to study.

On our way, we heard lots of commotion and panicked voices from somewhere. We glanced at each other, confused looks on our faces, before following where the voices lead.

We ended up a few staircases away from the Gryffindor common room, listening to their conversation.

"Somebody get Professor Dumbledore. Quick." A panicked voice said.

A few minutes passed before Dumbledore showed up, his eyebrows knitted with confusion.

I couldn't see much of what was happening, as there was a large crowd covering the portrait. I stood up on my toes, trying to see over the crowd to no avail.

"We need to find her," Dumbledore spoke.

He didn't seem completely panicked but that man never showed too much expression in this voice. It was always calm, powerful, but calm.

"Professor Mcgonagall, please go to Mr. Filch at once and tell him to search every painting in the castle for the Fat Lady." The headmaster spoke, turning to the Professor who had just taught us in transfiguration.

Pansy and I hurried to hide behind a bench, seeing as Mcgonagall could've seen us when she walked down the staircases, and out of the room. We have short confused looks at each other, not daring to speak.

"You'll be lucky!" Said Peeves the Poltergeist, cackling nastily.

He had showed up out of nowhere, per usual to all the ghosts here at Hogwarts.

"What do you mean, Peeves?" Dumbledore asked.

He wasn't stern with his words, he was gentle, calm, like always. It almost fascinated me how he never seemed to show anger or annoyance when he spoke.

"Ashamed, your headship, sir. Doesn't want to be seen. She's a horrible mess. Saw her running through the landscape up on the fourth floor, sir, dodging between trees. Crying something dreadful." Peeves grinned. "Poor thing," he sighs dramatically, a giant, evil, smirk plastered across his face.

"Did she say who did it?" Dumbledore asked patiently.

"Oh yes, Professorhead," Peeves smirked.

It annoyed me how immature and disrespectful peeves was to everyone, especially saying that he was peaking to the Headmaster of Hogwarts.

"He got very angry when she wouldn't let him in, you see." Peeves added.

There was a moment of silence as Peeves swished around the Professor, grinning widely at his power.

"Nasty temper he's got, that Sirius Black." Said Peeves, with a plain boring voice.

My eyes widened as I looked over at Pansy. We both stared at each other for a little, eyes wide and mouths slightly parted. Sirius black tried to break into the Gryffindor dormitories?
