Y/N POV

Leaning against the tree, I realized that we had probably been out of the house for too long. I looked up at Al, "We got to go back inside. I still have to talk to her about..." I paused, "some things." I guess I would have to tell her about this new development.

He smiled, "Would you like for me to wait outside?"

"I told her that I would introduce you to her." I walked back up to the house and stopped right before I walked in. I turned around to him and changed back into my human form. "Please, be on your best behavior. Try not to scare her."

"No promises my dear!" He chuckled and I rolled my eyes, smiling. I turned back to the door and went inside. I saw Stella sitting on the couch in the living room.

"Stella, this is Alastor." She had on a fearful expression, but it immediately softened when he walked into the room.

I turned towards him and was surprised by his form. He had changed into a human. He had dark chestnut hair and an olive complexion. He still had on a smile, but it looked more natural, compared to his demon form. He no longer had his ears or tiny antlers but was still in his red suit. I felt a small blush spread across my cheeks and saw Alastor smile a little wider.

He held his hand out towards Stella, who was standing by the couch. "Nice to meet you! The name is Alastor!" She timidly took his hand and gave me a weird look.

"Didn't you look different?"

"I did, but I changed into a form that would make you a little more comfortable."

"Sorry if I screamed when I opened the door, you just scared me."

"You are just fine!"

They stood there for a few awkward moments when I realized that I should be the one talking. "Al, you just wait down here. I need to talk with Stella for a bit longer and then we can head back." He nodded towards me and shot a smile towards Stella as she got up to follow me. I led us up the stairs on the right of the front door and went into her bedroom and closed the door behind us.

She had redecorated since I had disappeared to Hell. The wood floor was covered in a deep green carpet. There was a wardrobe on the far side of the wall, directly across from the bed, which was covered in a white blanket.

"What happe-"

"Wait," I interrupted and motioned for her to sit on the floor. She quirked an eyebrow at me but sat down. I followed suit and created one of my bubbles around us. "I don't need Al to hear the rest of this conversation."

Her eyes were wide, but she continued her question. "What happened outside?" I looked down at the ground.

"I needed to talk with Al about some things. He was worried about why I left." I looked up and she was looking for me to keep talking.

"I can tell that's not all that happened. Especially when you blushed as he came in the door."

"Was I that obvious?"

"Yeah."

I bit my lip, "Well the first reason is that I have never seen him in his human form. It surprised me when he walked in. And the second reason is..." I hesitated. Then in a quiet voice I continued, "he kissed me."

"Did you kiss him back?"

I was surprised by her question and looked up at her face. She had a bright smile on and answered it herself. "You did. I can tell."

I put my finger to my chin, "I just don't know what to do now. I feel like it is gonna be awkward."

"Then do what makes it not awkward. Do what you feel is right."

"Stella...I live in his house."

She stopped, her mouth open. "Oookay, it might be a little awkward. But did it feel right?" I nodded. "Then it doesn't matter." She smiled at me.

Then she held her finger up, "One more question, are you going to go back to Hell?"

"Yes, but I will come back and talk with you. I'm not gonna leave you behind." I grinned and pulled her into a hug.

She mumbled into my shoulder, "You better not. I'm expecting you to take me on a flight." I held her by her shoulders and looked at her.

"I would expect nothing less."

I walked down the stairs and embraced Stella at the bottom of the stairs. "I'm gonna miss you. But, what should I do about the police who are looking for you?"

I chuckled, "Since there are no clues, it will go cold soon. Don't worry about it." She giggled and looked at Al in the living room. Her face turned serious as she walked towards him and pointed a finger at him.

"Be good to her. Or I will personally kill you."

I expected him to laugh, but his face was serious. "She deserves no less." He walked over to me and opened the door.  "It was good to meet you, Stella."

She crossed her arms but smiled at him, "You too." I waved goodbye to her then walked out of the house. Al walked out behind me and we went back down into the forest. We both changed back into our demon forms, as it was much more comfortable.

"Did I scare her?"

I chuckled, "No, you just surprised her. Both of us, actually."

"I could see it on both of your faces. I enjoyed it immensely." It got quiet as we walked further in.

"If you don't mind me asking, how did you die Al?"

I looked at him as we walked. He glanced down at the ground. "It won't make sense if I just start at my death. So, I'll start towards the end. I used to be a popular radio host in the 1920s. I lived here, in Louisiana." We stopped walking and faced each other. He looked up from the ground at me. "As well as being a radio host, I was also a serial killer."

He paused and tried to gauge my reaction. I kept my face blank, urging him to continue his story. Not getting anything from my face, he continued. "Around the 1930s, I built the house that we met in. But, the police started getting onto my tracks. They found a pattern between the killings. That fateful night, I was caught in the middle of a killing."

I had no idea what to think. I had killed many people during my own rampages, but they were all awful people. I had never killed anyone for the fun of it.

"They chased me for miles, but eventually brought out the dogs. They quickly caught up and started ripping me apart. I was too far gone to be interrogated, but I was still alive. The police put me out of my misery and shot me in the head with a shotgun." He pointed to a point just above his eyebrows, right in the middle of his forehead.

"Why did you kill people?" I said, trying to keep my face blank. I was worried that I had gotten involved with the wrong kind of party.

"The men who weren't needed. The ones that beat their children and wives. The ones who harassed and hurt others, just so they could feel powerful." His eyes looked far away in a distant memory.

"I took them down a couple of notches. Trust me, their families and society did not miss them." I was surprised at his reasoning. I thought that he had only done it for fun.

I smiled at him, as he was looking quite nervous. "Seems that we are on the same page." I offered him my hand and he took it. I opened up a portal and we both fell into it.

Alastor's POV

My mind was spinning as we stepped into the portal. Her reactions always seemed to surprise me. I could never expect what she was feeling. I was still surprised at the fact that she had kissed me.

My mind wandered to the feeling of her lips. It made me want her even more. I was snapped back to the present as we landed in the Hotel. "What are we doing here?" I asked her.

"I need to apologize to Angel." She quickly knocked on his door and stepped inside. "Angel?" Her sweet voice sounded into the room.

We both stepped in and saw Angel sitting on the bed. He rushed towards her and they embraced. Her voice was muffled, but I could still hear her voice in his shoulder. "Sorry I left, I just needed to see an old friend." She pulled away and looked up at him.

"I'm glad you're back; we all need to get away sometimes. Are you okay now?" She nodded and looked over at me.

"Everything's fixed now." My heart beat a little faster as her gaze was on me. I didn't realize how strong my feelings had been. It feels like the black shell around my heart had cracked a little.

Angel handed her the book, "I kept it while you were gone." She took it from him hesitantly but held then it confidently to her side. They talked for a little while until y/n stopped the conversation completely.

"Wait, what is that?" She pointed towards the bottom of his neck and he quickly covered it with a hand.

"Hehe, it was from a client." He sounded like he was lying.

"You're lying." She obviously could tell. It felt like our minds were on the same wavelength, we just thought the same things all the time.

He looked at me nervously and then back to y/n. "Can we talk in private then?" She nodded and then shut the door. Before she did, she shot me a small smile. I heard mumbling behind the door, but I wasn't inclined to listen, especially since they had wanted to do it in private. Then, I heard y/n yell through the door. "WHAT?" some more mumbling came and then the door swung open.

"I am going to destroy him." She had fury in her eyes, but I could tell she was trying to keep it under control. Angel rushed out after her.

"But if it stops happening to me, it will happen to others. It already fucking is! He does it to countless people y/n!"

"The prophecy said Protector of the Innocent and Killer of the Wicked right? So, that's what I'm going to do. You are welcome to join in on the destruction." She then grabbed my hand and we instantly appeared in her room. I was a bit taken aback.

"What happened? I can see the fury in your eyes, my dear." She ran into the bathroom and then came out in black pants and a black halter top. She had her black hood in her arms as she was put her hair into a long white plait.

"I'm going to destroy Valentino's main territory. He is going to be a dead demon." She summoned her scythe and held it in her hands. Then she turned to me.

"I say it is time to show all of Hell that we are working together. What do you say?" She had a very serious look on her face, so I knew she wasn't joking.

I smiled at the thought of finally destroying Valentino. "I would be happy to."
