Y/N POV

"a-about me?"

"Well, not specifically about you, but about the prophecy. I wanted you to learn more about it, so I found this for you."

I was so surprised that there was actually enough research, about me no less, to put it into a book. "Wow." I didn't have any more words. I carefully opened up the hardcover, the black ink meeting my eyes. "The Dark Angel; a prophecy"

"Everyone has heard about the prophecy, kind of like the fairytales up on earth, but I had never sat down and read it. I'm actually surprised I found it."

I looked up at him and held the book close to my chest. "Thanks Al, I really appreciate you finding this for me." I smiled up at him.

"Of course, my dear."

I hesitated but spoke my mind, "Do you want to read it with me? I'm kinda nervous about it."

"I would love to stay  here with you, but I have some business to attend to."

Al left the room and I sat down on the little couch in front of the fireplace and held the book in my hands. I had the cover open but didn't have the courage to turn the page. What if the prophecy was worse than I thought it would be?

I pulled out my phone and decided to try and find Angel's number. I just needed to read it with someone. I searched the internet and found a number, one that I assumed was his business line. I called and heard someone pick up. "Hello, this is Angel Dust, how may I  help you?" He said it a seductive voice which just made me laugh.

"Wow, getting right down to business are we?" I smiled as I talked through the phone.

"Y/n? Is that you? I'm so sorry!" I heard him laughing really hard through the speaker.

"I didn't have your number, so I looked up your business one. That might have been a slight mistake on my part."

He was laughing so hard that I couldn't make out any words. I giggled at his laughing, "Hey, I'm coming over rn. I can't understand you through the phone." I laughed and hung up the phone. I shifted to his room at the hotel with the book in my hands. I appeared in his room, he was rolling in laughter on the bed. I could finally understand him through his laughter, "S-sorry I used that tone with you! My 'clients' enjoy it!"

"It's fine Angel" I smiled and realized how much I missed Angel. I looked around the room and found a small dog bed on the floor. "Wait. Did you get a pet and not tell me?!"

He sat up from the bed with a guilty look on his face. "Maybe??" I heard little footsteps running across the floor and I looked under Angel's bed. A little pink pig came running at me from under the bed. It jumped onto my chest and I fell over in surprise. I looked up and saw two big brown eyes staring at me.

"Oh my gosh! Look at how cute he is!" He had pink and brown spots on his back and a curly devil tail. He had two brown spikes sticking out of the top of his head. "We even have matching horns!" I sat up and held the small pig in my arms.

Angel leaned over the side of the bed and rested his head in his hand and looked down at me cuddling with the pig. "His name is fat nuggets." The pig jumped from my arms and landed on Angels head. He cuddled into Angel's fluffy hair. "Isn't he the cutest thing!"

I giggled and looked at Angel. "You are both perfect for each other!" I smiled warmly, but then remembered what I came here for. I picked up the book from where I dropped it on the ground. "I wanted to show you something." I sat on the end of the bed and felt Angel come up from behind me.

"A book? Why would you want to show me a book?"

I opened the front cover and I could almost hear the cogs clicking in his brain, "ohhh. This is a book with the real prophecy?"

"yeah, I didn't want to read it by myself." I felt Fat Nuggets crawl under my left arm and into my lap. I took a deep breath and turned the page.

An angel with wings of ink will come to Hell.

The most powerful in the land, she will rule.

Dark magic is contained within her heart.

She will enact revenge on those that wrong her

Protector of the Innocent and Killer of the Wicked.

Who knows the strength of the Dark Angel's power?

No one. Not even her.

With her powers, she will take over Hell,

but turn into something more wicked than anything ever seen.

Her powers will lash out, growing darker.

No one can stop her.

It was silent when I looked up from the page. Tears pricked the corners of my eyes. I felt Angel's hand land on my shoulder. I slammed the book shut. I rested my head in my hands, "That was so much worse than I thought it was going to be."

Angel's voice spoke from behind me, "It's gonna be okay. I honestly don't think that that prophecy is all true."

I got off the bed and turned towards him, crossing my arms over my chest. "It's not that it isn't true! I have been darker already! When I take over territories, I hurt people. " I felt small tears roll down my cheeks. Angel got off the bed and grabbed my shoulders looking down at me.

"Look at me." I turned my head up towards him. "Those territories are filled with horrible people. Valentino's people. They have done horrible things to so many people. I know what they've done. You have not hurt innocent people, you have gotten rid of dozen's of horrible ones."

He continued talking while tears perked up in his eyes. "What you've done the past few days, is so valuable to me. You started with Valentino's territory, for me. That is the nicest thing you could've done. Someone who was wicked would not do that."

"But I enjoy when people are afraid of me. I can feel the happiness it gives me when I see the fear in their eyes."

"Every demon down here likes that! That is why we are demons in the first place. And you are working with Al! He enjoys bringing fear to people. That's the whole reason he fucking does anything!"

"What about me ruling all of Hell! And I don't even know what most of it is talking about for fuck's sake! What am I supposed to do?!" I could feel panic rising up in my chest. It had been so long since I had an attack, and I always had dreaded the oncoming feeling.

"I can't control anything that is happening Angel! Everything is going so fast, and it terrifies me! Literally only two weeks ago, I still thought I was human! Which, apparently, I'm not! I have a crazy powerful overlord who is working with me, despite nothing in return! I don't even know what Al wants back from me! And then, a literal PRINCE OF HELL came over and became an ally."

I sunk down to the floor and held my head in my hands. I was having trouble breathing as my chest rapidly flew up and down. "Y/n, everything is going to be okay. It has worked out so far for you, hasn't it? A fucking prophecy can't dictate your life, you do!"

I felt the urge to leave. I just needed to get out. I chucked the book to the side of the room, not knowing what to do. Then a person dropped into my mind, Stella. I needed to see her. "I have to leave....leave Hell. I can't be here right now, it's too overwhelming." I saw Angel's eyes, filled with pity.

I didn't want to see him looking at me with pity. I felt ashamed. I opened a portal, just like I did that fateful night with Al, and the room faded into black.

Alastor's POV

By business, I meant that I needed to go threaten Stolas. I didn't like how y/n had a deal with him. She had frased the deal incredibly, and she was a natural. I ran the details of te promise through my head and I could find no loopholes. I didn't think Stolas would be one to break it, especially with the threat she had made at the end of the deal.

I arrived at Stolas' palace, rolling my eyes at the grandness at it. He had always been one for extravagance. His car had just arrived at the palace. As much as I wanted this discussion on my territory, I couldn't do it around y/n. At least I could make him uncomfortable.

I shifted into Stolas' study and sat at the chair in front of his desk. I was surprised that he hadn't put ward spells on the castle to protect it from intruders like me. But I knew he didn't care, as he was much more powerful than me. It didn't scare me though. I wanted to put him in his place, especially if he was dealing with y/n.

I heard the door squeak open and heard Stolas freeze at the entrance of the room. "Alastor...what are you doing here?"

"I came to finish our conversation from earlier. Something I couldn't do with our dear Dark Angel present."

He was hesitant but came and sat down at the head of his desk. He held his hand out and gestured for me to continue. "What do you want from y/n?"

"Just like I told you both, I want to keep my territory when she becomes ruler of Hell."

" I don't believe you." I turned my head and looked at him, my eyes glaring at him.

He looked surprised by my accusation. "What do you mean? I am the Prince of Pride, that is in my nature. Keeping my territory will make me more powerful once her battle is all over."

I was still suspicious of his actions but decided a good threat will end this conversation and stop him from doing anything in the future. "I just want you to know, that the deal she made with you does not involve me. She cannot touch your lands, but I can." I saw a picture of his daughter on the desk. "I can take away everything you love, like that." I snapped my fingers.

"How dare you threaten me with my family Alastor. Do you want a war to break out between us?"

"I'm not worried about that, as I have the Dark Angel on my side. She made the deal with you, so she can break it whenever she wants."

Stolas raised his eyebrow at me. "What are you getting out of it? I still can't understand why you are helping her."

"Let's just say it is in my interest to be completely on her side."

I got up out of my seat and walked towards the door. I turned my head to look at Stolas. "If you harm her, in any way, I will destroy you." With that, I walked out of the room, satisfied with my threat. I shifted back into my home and walked back to the study.

I was surprised when I walked in and didn't see y/n. "Nifty!"

She rushed in the door, "Yes Al?"

"Where is y/n?"

"I actually don't know. I didn't see her leave the study. She must've left."

I thought for a second. Where could she have gone? Suddenly, a deep sadness and a rush of panic came into my body. It felt like it was going to crush me. "Al, what's wrong? Why are you crying?"

I lifted a hand up and felt my cheek, it was damp with tears. "I am?" I didn't understand what was happening. Then everything disappeared like it was never there. It felt like something had been taken away, like the feelings had left and took something with it.

"Something is wrong." I whipped around and walked out of the study, Nifty on my heels. I couldn't place my finger on it. The telephone rang in the study and Nifty rushed back into grab it. I heard her yell from the other room, "Al, it's Angel Dust! He needs to talk to you about y/n."

I turned and looked at her. "I don't know when I'll be back, be careful Nifty." With that, I shifted right outside of Angel's room and shifted through the door.

"What happened?"

Angel was kneeling on the ground at the side of the bed. He whispered, "She's gone."

"What?"

He lifted his hands towards a spot on the floor. "She just disappeared." That's when I realized that he had the prophecy book in his hands. I walked towards him and took the book. I opened it to the first page and saw tear spots blotting the page. Angel's voice came from the floor, "I-I think she was having a panic attack. I tried to calm her down but she just wanted to leave. She said that she needed to leave Hell. I don't know where else she would go though!"

I looked up from the book and inspected the floor closely. There was a circle burnt into the carpet. My eyes widened, remembering back to the day I had woken up and found her gone. I needed to find her.
