Minho felt pretty sleepy. He was sure that it was because of his setting off early in the day to get to King's Cross on time โ€“ he lived in Edinburgh, and the Knight Bus usually took about one hour to get safely to London โ€“ but he still wished he could somehow avoid it.

Giving farewell to his father had definitely been the hardest thing he'd had to do all summer: the conscious look in Mr. Lee's eyes at the fact that he would not see his son for months got Minho every single time.

The boy sincerely loved his father: he'd been the one to look after him all his life, who took care of him, fed him, made him play, comfort him when he felt sad. He'd been supportive of Minho's strange attitude and of the accidents he'd sometimes cause, and had been the happiest in years when the son had received his Hogwarts Letter.

The event had been so unexcpected to the both of them, because they never would've thought magic blood would run in the family's veins. "Not even your mother, really" had told Mr. Lee to a radiant Minho that night. "She'd never shown any ability to do this sort of witch-y, magic-y things you can do".

The boy had curled his nose up at the mention of his mother's name: he didn't know anything about her, but that she and his dad had met by accident (the shop his mother ran, in fact, was right below his dad's studio and one of the shop's pipes had once broken damaging its flooring), and that she'd left a few months after giving Minho to birth.

"Sure she didn't" he had snapped harshly.

His dad had sighed tiredly. That topic was one of those the duo always made sure not to talk about, because of Minho's reactions afterwards โ€“ although Mr. Lee had tried many times to convince him of the fact that his mother was not a bad person, and that she truly loved him, the son would pretend not to hear.

A sudden noise made Minho come back to reality abruptly: patrolling. That's what he was meant to be doing. Just to serve his position right, he sped up towards the wagon where the sound'd come from.

A little group of students was still there, some looking scared; others excited.

"May someone explain what happened?" he asked politely.

A girl who was giving him her back turned around and smiled, a glimmery light in her big dark eyes. She smiled, looking satisfied. "Oh, a couple of students were doing some sort of a mess here, but you shouldn't get too worried: the new Head Boy's just come and he's already after them".

Her voice was soft and definitely flirty; but as always, it made no effect to Minho: it had always been like that, for some reason โ€“ no one had ever caught his eyes, he'd never dated, never kissed...

It was strange even to him (especially since there'd definitely been different opportunities for him to do so), but he just had never felt attracted to anyone. He could only suppose that he still had to find his special one. They must've been somewhere, but he'd had no luck yet.

"Thanks for your help" he bowed and smiled politely, and quickly hurried out of the wagon: the sooner he was out of sight, the better. He did not really enjoy being at the centre of attention โ€“ wich was quite ironic, as he was his House (Slytherin) Team's very skilled Seeker and had contributed many times to hard but meaningful wins. Plus, considering he was also a Prefect, his was definitely a rather known name at Hogwarts.

In the following wagon, it did not take long for him to recognize Wonpil's silhouette. "Wonpil!" he cried loud enough for the Head Boy to hear.

A smile cracked on the Hupplepuff's face when he saw the Prefect walk nearer. "Everything okay Minho? D'you need some help?"

"Uh, no at all" the Slytherin chuckled. "It's just that I've been told someone's dropped a few dungbombs โ€“ or at least that's what I'm assuming they are from the smell โ€“ and I wanted to go and see who it was".

"Well, that's exactly what I was doing" said Wonpil. "You know what? You can go find them. It's Hwang and Seo, by the way".

"The two dudes that almost set the Shrieking Shack to fire last year?" inquired the Slytherin, lifting his left eyebrow.

"Indeed" confirmed the Head Boy. "Thanks for helping Minho. See you around!"

Minho had just begun to move again when he encountered two other people. "They must've caused some trouble, by the way they were laughing" analyzed the taller guy, a hand in his hair.

"You mean Seo and Hwang?" asked the Slytherin. "If so, do you know where they went?"

The two boys froze, looking uncertain at each other. Understanding where the awkardness came from, the Prefect quickly added: "I won't tell them who sent me there, don't worry. They'll never know"

"Uff, fine" said the smaller one, gesturing at the next wagon. "Over there, third compartment".

"Thank you guys!" said Minho, setting off yet again to go and catch the two pranksters.

As he opened the door though, he was surprised at the scene he found before his own eyes: the very Hwang Hyunjin and Seo Changbin were sitting still, their hands in their pockets, silent.

Nearby, by the window seat, a third figure was reading peacefully The Prophet, singing a jazz melody.

Minho burst out laughing. "Oh dear, Seungmin! How did you do it?!"

Seungmin was having none of it.

After yelling for a good half hour at misbehaved students, who were happily running up and down the corridors, yelling and throwing the paper envelopes of their Chocolate Frogs candies away, โ€“ which had been ever more stressful since none of the wrappers was a character missing from the Slytherin's collection ("another Dumbledore? Seriously? I'm over this crap") โ€“ he had finally settled peacefully on a seat in an empty compartment and had pulled out a fresh new edition of The Daily Prophet โ€“ but then an annoying noise filled the room.

"He almost started crying! Oh my God, Binnie, please help, I'm about to lose a lung!" was histerically screaming a boy Seungmin assumed had to be around his age.

The other boy was right as disappointing: furthermore, his laughter was pretty breathy and low, wich the ladder found even more annoying.

"Can you please shut up?" snapped Seungmin angrily. "Now seat down and stay quite before I shove this wand so far down your ass you will feel it in your throat!"

The two boys (they were Ravenclaws) looked blaffered at each other. It was pretty obvious they were deciding wether to laugh even harder or ran away as quickly as possible โ€“ and to make their desision even easier, the Slytherin added in the same sassy tone: "Make up your freaking minds before I get really upset!"

Without even consulting each other, the Ravenclaws sat immediately and fell silent. Seungmin didn't know, but his aura had been so powerful that he had just shut up the school's biggest pranksters. The Slytherin was however very satisfied. "Much better", he stated, and he went back to his reading.

A few minutes later the door slid open, but the boy didn't even bother looking up to see who it wasโ€“as long as they stayed quiet, everyone was welcome.

The person however had different plans, since they bursted out laughing almost immediately. "Oh dear, Seungmin! How did you do it?!"

Finally raising his gaze to see who it was, Seungmin's eyes met with a fellow Slytherin Minho โ€“ who was actually much more than that: basically his best friend. "Uhm, nothing? I was merely reading", the boy truthfully answered.

But Minho had moved his attention on the other two boys, who were looling quite worried. "Well guys, I'd come to take a few points off, but by the looks of it Seungmin's already done enough. Mind telling me what happened?"

"He verbally harassed us!" squeaked the one nearest to the door. Seungmin rolled his eyes. What a drama queen.

Luckily, Minho just smiled. "A Prefect harassing students? C'mon, be serious now".

"I am being serious! He's scary!" insisted the boy.

"How funny, I would've thought you to be the scary one. You clearly didn't see your face when you were laughing, I almost passed out!" snapped back the younger Prefect.

"Ohhhh chill now, will you" said Minho, trying to get the two fifth years to calm down.

"It's whatever, sorry if I was too noisy Min" replied Seungmin, bringing his attention back to the newspaper.

"Uhm, duh?" cut in Hyunjin, surprised at how much sass a boy could have, especially when talking to him. "Couldn't you apologize to us as well?"

"You guys were the ones who started it" Seungmin's gaze didn't move from The Prophet. "If anything, I should be the one to receive apologies".

"I'm... you're... soโ€“ughhh!" bursted out Hyunjin, his hands now closed into tight fists. "Changbin, get up. We're leaving!"

Before following the friend, Changbin stopped besides Minho and whispered confidentially: "Damn, that boy's a beast. I've never seen someone who could actually stand up that well to Jinnie! I must say I'm impressed".

Minho fondly watched the soft features of the younger's face, totally immersed in the article he was reading. "What can I say, he's Seungmin. A whole mine of mysteries".

Actually really happy about how this chapter turned out, but it probably just is because I've finally introduced my bias & bias wrecker!

Minho is my bias, definitely, and as for wreckers it kind of is the whole group (Chan definitely gets me~~), but Minnie just stands out to me, he's special!

Next week they're going to get to Hogwarts, but things there aren't going as smoothly as you would think they were...

Tune im next monday to find out what this is all about!

Bye Stays, have a nice week~
