Changbin regretted not bringing his glasses with him. Without them, he only had a very blurry vision of the surroundings which did not help him at all in his hunt for the friend.

When he'd first started Hogwarts, Changbin had not believed he would make friends earlier than a week in, but the fate had worked against that conviction of his and the boy had found one immediately after the Sorting Ceremony, during an argument that had started at the Ravenclaws' table among the first and second years about that years' Quidditch Tournament .

Even now, when he thought back at it, Changbin could not help but feel utterly disgusted โ€“ how could people have believed, back then, that the Chudley Cannons actually had a chance to win when such a strong team as the Tutshill Tornados was playing? Luckily for him, in any case, another boy had shared his exact opinion and the two had lots of fun dissing other House members to death, to the point where they'd left the Great Hall chatting together as if they'd grown up doing so.

Despite his cold and sarcastic appearance that made it hard for him to fully display his true feelings for the friend, Changbin was actually extremely grateful to have met Hyunjin. The two had shared his best memories together and without him, five years would've just been so boring.

Focused on his own thoughs, the Ravenclaw missed to notice that the friend had been standing right beside him for the past two minutes.

"Binnie?" Hyunjin jokingly shook his hand beside the friend's eyes. "Are you okay?"

Luckily for him, Changbin was leaning on the platform's wall; otherwise he would've fallen down ridiculously.

"Oh dear, you forgot to pack your glasses, didn't you?" Hyunjin rolled his eyes in amusement. "I really can't with you Binnie, you're so forgetful!"

Changbin had in the meanwhile managed to stand back straight. "Yeah, whatever. No one noticed it, didn't they? Please, tell me it all went unnoticed" he begged worriedly.

"I can't garantee no one did" admitted the friend. "Actually, it wouldn't surprise me if they did. I mean, who wouldn't want to have a look at my beautiful features?"

"It's in times like this that I thank God for forgetting my glasses. Your blurry face makes it ten time easier for me to control my untamable wish to slap that face of yours!" he snapped back sarcastically.

"Oh, how funny" replied Hyunjin. "But in all seriousnessโ€“"

"I didn't know you had any".

"Shut up, will you!" Changbin couldn't see the friend, but he could picture Hyunjin curling his nose up in an offended attitude. "I was saying, couldn't you just use a Summoning Charm? I was under the impression we'd learnt them last year!"

"It's because my parents're watching, you idiot!" Changbin snorted. "Or at least, I'm assuming they are. I'll summon it once i'm on the train. They can't see me there".

"Sounds reasonable" as always, Hyunjin had already forgotten about the little argument they'd just had: it was like this with them, teasing or dissing each other to death was kind of their way โ€“ strange and contorted โ€“ to show their affection to one another. "We can also start prepping out first joke then. God, if only you knew how much I missed that!"

Before starting, Hyunjin made sure they were the only ones in the compartment. Changbin'd rescued his glasses, โ€“ Hyunjin loved them on him, they made the friend look like that famous Harry Potter wizard โ€“ so they were now ready to get started.

"You brought your leftover dungbombs, didn't you?" he inquired, raising his left brow.

"Who do you think I am?" Changbin carefully took them out of his trunk. "Here you go".

A mischevious smirk appeared on the ladder's face. "Beautiful".

"Where're we gonna throw them? Head or tail wagon?" Changbin asked, although he already knew they would go for the the Head wagon.

"You know it's the Head one!" retorted in fact Hyunjin. "The closer we are to the Prefects, the better!"

"Ohhhhh! Just imagine if one of the new Head Boys gets us!" Changbin chuckled. "We're going to make this year their most unforgettable yet!"

"You bet!" Hyunjin grabbed his wand. "Okay, we're good. Ready?"

"I was born ready!" a few seconds and the friend was already out of sight. Hyunjin hurried after him, regretting not having had the time to reply with a jokingly 'you were born short, not ready'.

Ten minutes later, the two Ravenclaws were already in trouble: surprisingly, the Prefect's meeting had taken less than expected, and some of them were already after the Ravenclaws โ€“ who had barely managed to escape a fellow sixth year and were now looking for somewhere to hide.

"Let's go here! Quick!" although their prank had taken an unexpected turn, Hyunjin still looked as if he was having the absolute time of his life. "We'll hide in some trunk thing until danger's gone!"

Busy looking back to check whether Changbin approved or not, for a moment Hyunjin didn't pay attention to where he was going, and smashed his head against someone's chest.

Ignoring Changbin's impulsive laughter, Hyunjin screamed an apology before entering an unknown compartment.

Changbin followed suit, shutting the door as he stepped in. Once they were locked there safely, they both bursted out laughing โ€“ and they could've gone on for hours and hours, but they suddenly heard a soft "Pardon?" coming from the compartment's corner.

Jeongin had had a stessful start to the day. Not only had he had to bare with his parents' โ€“ both Muggle Borns โ€“ continous arguments on what road they'd better take to arrive at King's Cross on time, but after giving them farewell and entering platform nine and three quarters he had been almost immediately surrounded by a bunch of different students, to whom he had given advice the year before and who were now seeking for more.

"Yes, well... Maybe later? Sorry, I should really go now" he was just saying, trying to push an especially annoying third year who was apparently convinced that her whole existence depended on knowing exactly if she should act more cutely or sassily with the boy she really, really liked.

Jeongin quickly took his pointed hat out of the trunk and pressed it hard against his skull: he could barely see where he was setting his feet every time he took a step forward. Now it's way better: the hat fell down enough as to cover half of his face, so that he would be less recognizable.

Mentally complimenting himself for the fantastic idea, he was surely not expecting a soft voice to address to him. "Hi Jeongin. Had a great summer?"

The fourth year carefully lifted the hat sligthly to see who had just talked.

"Ahem... care to explain that strange hat of yours?" asked the voice again. "You know, not to be rude or anything, but it really does make you look like grown up mushroom".

"Seungmin, shush" rapidly answered the Ravenclaw. "I'm hiding here".

"No way! I thought you were the first representative of a new โ€“ highly questionable โ€“ fashion style, how disappointing" sarcasm was clearly audible in the elder's voice, who had now begun to shake his head, his fingers leaning on his forehead.

"Don't palm face me! I'm being serious, it's like everyone wants to have a talk with me and I am having none of it" explained Jeongin, the hat back to its place.

"Oh, that's no fuss" aknowledged calmly Seungmin. He then cleared his throat: "PEOPLE! STOP HARASSING JEONGIN, IT'S ANNOYING AS HELL. GET ALONG WITH YOUR BUISNESS!"

He turned to the shocked Ravenclaw, ignoring the student's reaction, a smile now on his face. "See you around, good? I need to go to the Prefect's meeting" he showed the shining badge on his chest. "Bye!"

Jeongin just waved, his mind still processing all that had happened within the last minute. Wow, that was just... wow, was all he managed to think, before getting a grip and (finally) getting on the train, on the hunt for a nice compartment โ€“ that he did not find, for an hour or so later, he'd grown so bored of his lifeless compartment mates, that he'd decided he'd go for a walk down the train corridors โ€“ as for all he knew, he might meet the love of his life in the process.

He had just settled on proceeding until the Prefect's wagon when a voice called him from behind. Jeongin turned around, only to meet with Felix's โ€“ a Hupplepuff student he was pretty close with โ€“ gaze.

Before he could say anything back, the Ravenclaw was already being inquired by the friend about a boy he'd never seen before, and sadly he had to give the friend an unfulfilling reply. "Sorry Lix, I really don't know him..."

The conversation then shifted on Jeongin's many 'acquintances' (Felix called them that, but Jeongin barely remembered their names), but they were abrubtly interrumpted by a boy crashing against the Ravenclaw's chest.

The heckโ€“ thought Jeongin; but before he knew, the boy (and the other boy that was following him closely) had vanished.

"What was that?" questioned Felix, confused.

The Ravenclaw sighed. "I think we just encountered my fellow Ravenclaw House mates. Seo Changbin and Hwang Hyunjin, you know".

And I really did think I would meet my soulmate!, he then thought to himself. And instead, I just bumped into Felix and the School's pranksters! What a start Jeongin, what a start.
