Y/N Kane was always known for making bold decisions. They were a force to be reckoned with, especially in moments where everyone thought they were joking but soon realized they weren't. Today, however, Y/N had taken it to a whole new level. And Mattheo? He was spiraling into pure chaos.
It started as a completely ordinary breakfast. Draco was making snide comments about the Ravenclaw girls, Blaise was reading the Daily Prophet (though no one was really sure what he was looking at), and Enzo was absentmindedly petting Ferret. Everything seemed normalโuntil Y/N's eyes locked onto something across the room: a first-year Hufflepuff girl clumsily climbing onto the bench with her oversized stuffed dragon. Her innocent smile and the way she fell and got back up sent a sudden rush of emotions through Y/N's chest.
"Mattheo," they whispered, gripping his arm tighter than usual.
Mattheo, busy chewing on toast, only glanced up momentarily. "What? Is the Hufflepuff girl having trouble with her biscuit again?"
Y/N's voice was surprisingly soft, but there was a wild, unexplainable energy behind it. "No. Look at her. She's so tiny. So pure." They took a deep breath. "Imagine raising a kid like that. Our kid."
Mattheo froze, looking between Y/N and the first-year, trying to process the thought that was slowly settling over him. "Wait. Are youโ" He cleared his throat, narrowing his eyes. "Did you just say a kid?"
Y/N smirked. "Not just any kid, Matty. Our little troublemaker. A mini Slytherin with a taste for chaos. Can you imagine it? A tiny version of me, but with your charm, your attitude. A mini you."
The table fell silent. Even Draco, usually quick with sarcasm, didn't have a response.
"Wait, Y/N." Theo, who had been half-paying attention, suddenly sat up. "You're serious right now?"
Y/N nodded enthusiastically. "Totally. Imagine it. A tiny little chaos monster running around Hogwarts, making everyone's lives hell. Just like we do now, but smaller and more dangerous."
Mattheo groaned, running a hand over his face. "Y/N, we're sixteen. Sixteen. Do you even understand what you're saying?"
Blaise glanced up from his paper with a raised eyebrow, his voice flat but amused. "I've known you for a long time, Kane, but this? This is a new level of wild."
Enzo tilted his head, his eyes lighting up with mischief. "Wait, noโhear me outโwhat if it's actually genius? A mini Y/N? A mini Mattheo? That kid would be unstoppable."
Y/N laughed, enjoying the thought more with every passing second. "Exactly. A perfect combination of chaos. The world wouldn't know what hit it."
Mattheo, who had been sitting back, still trying to wrap his mind around the absurdity of it all, shook his head. "You're crazy, Y/N. Do you even know what raising a kid would be like? The crying, the diapers, the constant care?"
Y/N didn't seem to be listening. They leaned forward, their gaze locked with Mattheo's, their voice barely above a whisper, but their tone was completely serious. "What if I stopped taking my birth control, Mattheo?"
Mattheo's face turned ashen. "What?" He blinked, looking as if someone had slapped him across the face. "What did you just say?"
"I said," Y/N repeated slowly, "what if I stopped taking my birth control?"
A stunned silence fell over the table. Draco looked like he might choke on his pumpkin juice. Theo was staring at them as if they had just announced they were going to live in the Forbidden Forest. Enzo, for once, had nothing to say. Blaise, who always seemed unfazed by everything, was suddenly dead quiet, his eyes flicking between Y/N and Mattheo, clearly expecting the fireworks.
Mattheo's voice was a strangled whisper. "Youโwhat? Y/N, you can'tโyou can't just do that."
But Y/N was already digging into their bag, pulling out a box of condoms with an air of reckless excitement. "Why not, Mattheo?" Y/N smirked, walking toward the fireplace with determination. "If we're gonna make this happen, we need to go all the way."
"No!" Mattheo sprang to his feet, his chair scraping violently against the stone floor. "Don't you dare, Y/N!"
But it was too late. Y/N grinned wildly, holding the box of condoms up as if it were a trophy. With a flick of their wrist, they tossed it into the fire. The flames roared higher as the box dissolved into ash.
Mattheo's face turned ghostly white. "Y/N, what are you doing?!"
Y/N was still looking absolutely unbothered as they reached into their bag again. This time, they pulled out the blister pack of birth control pills. "You heard me, Mattheo. It's already done." They waved the pills in front of his face. "Time to make our little chaos gremlin a reality."
Before Mattheo could stop them, Y/N tossed the pack into the flames, watching as the pills melted away.
"No. NO!" Mattheo screamed, running toward them. He grabbed Y/N's shoulders, his hands trembling. "You can't justโY/N! This is insane!"
But Y/N was enjoying the chaos too much. "Relax, Matty. We're fine." They stood up straighter, looking at him with a grin that could send anyone into a panic. "We're having a baby. You can't stop it now."
The room fell silent again, the boys too stunned to speak. The fire crackled and popped, and the heat seemed to be intensifying.
Mattheo's breathing grew heavier. "You're not serious," he said, more to himself than to Y/N. "Youโyou really think you're ready to do this? To throw our entire lives into chaos? Youโyou can't just stop taking the pills. This isn't a game, Y/N!"
Theo, finally recovering from his shock, raised an eyebrow. "Honestly, I'm just trying to figure out how you plan to handle everything that comes with a kid, Y/N. Because if you think it's just going to be a mini you, you're delusional."
Blaise, who was still holding his paper, sighed dramatically. "Well, it's not like this is any of my business, but if you two end up with a tiny demon running around, I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the show."
Enzo chuckled nervously. "I mean, we all know you're capable of anything, Y/N. But, uh, Mattheo might not survive parenthood."
Mattheo shot a glare at Enzo, his face a mix of disbelief and genuine panic. "I swear, if we don't fix this, I'm going to lose my mind." He looked at Y/N, his tone softer, more pleading now. "Please, justโpleaseโthis isn't something you can take back. We're too young for this."
Y/N didn't back down. "We're not too young." They stood tall, crossing their arms with an air of determination. "This is happening, Mattheo. Whether you're ready or not."
The room grew eerily quiet. Draco finally spoke up, voice low. "Well, I can't say I'm surprised. You two were bound to burn everything to the ground sooner or later." He eyed Mattheo. "But seriously, mate. Good luck."
And with that, the reality of what was happening began to set in. Mattheo stood frozen, his world spinning, while Y/N stood with a calm confidence, knowing that once the fire had burned out, there was no going back.
The chaos was just beginning.
End Scene.
Let the true madness commence.
