It was a crisp, chilly evening at Hogwarts when Y/N made the ultimate decision: no more pets. After years of caring for magical creatures and taking in every stray or orphaned animal that crossed their path, Y/N had finally agreed with Mattheo and their friends. They were done. No more taking in animals, no more trying to rescue everything that needed help. Y/N had promised, and for once, they were going to stick to it.

Or so Y/N thought.

"Y/N!" Mattheo's voice rang out, a mixture of frustration and surprise. "What the hell are these?"

Y/N froze, standing in front of their bed where four new ball pythons, each with distinct and beautiful morphs, slithered across the blanket. One was a stunning albino with vibrant red eyes, another was a dark, glossy black with speckles of yellow, a third was a pastel orange and purple combo, and the last was a striking blue-eyed leucistic morph that seemed to shimmer in the dim light.

"I... I swear, I wasn't going toβ€”" Y/N started, but Mattheo was already holding his head in his hands, a sigh of disbelief escaping his lips.

"Didn't we agree?" He gestured to the snakes, his arms wide. "No more pets. And yet, here you are with four of them?"

Y/N tried to explain, their voice lowering in a sheepish tone. "They were at a magical pet shop in Diagon Alley... and they were just so... pretty, Mattheo. You know how I get with creatures."

Mattheo raised an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced. "I thought it was only a 'one more pet' situation, not four!"

"I couldn't resist! They were just sitting there in their little cages, looking at me with those big, innocent eyes..." Y/N trailed off, giving him a playful grin. "How could I say no?"

Mattheo leaned against the doorframe, crossing his arms and trying not to smile despite his frustration. "You know you're going to be the death of me, right?"

Meanwhile, the snakes, oblivious to the drama, were blissfully exploring the new space, flicking their tongues in every direction. Luna, Y/N's Maine Coon cat, sat atop the bed, eyeing them with great curiosity but maintaining a safe distance.

"Alright," Mattheo said after a moment, shaking his head in mock resignation. "I can't really be mad at you, but seriouslyβ€”no more pets after this."

Y/N nodded, a glint of mischief in their eyes. "Promise," they said, though there was a tiny voice in the back of their head whispering that it might not be the last time.

As the two sat down on the bed, Y/N let out a contented sigh, feeling a soft sense of peace despite the mess they'd gotten themselves into. It was just the beginning of their new pets' adventures, after all.

"At least they're cute, right?" Y/N said with a smirk.

"Too cute," Mattheo muttered, though his grin betrayed him. "Alright, you win. But one more snake, and I swear, I'll take you out to the Forbidden Forest myself."

Y/N giggled. "Deal."

It wasn't long before the rest of the boysβ€”Theo, Draco, Blaise, and Enzoβ€”arrived, drawn to the commotion coming from Mattheo's private dorm. The door swung open, and they all stepped inside, eyes immediately drawn to the beautiful ball pythons slithering across the bed.

Y/N grinned, standing proudly next to the snakes. "I was just showing Mattheo the newest additions," they said, clearly not ashamed of the chaos they'd caused.

"What in Merlin's name are those?" Theo asked, raising an eyebrow as he took in the sight of the four pythons. His dark brown eyes flicked between the snakes, disbelief written all over his face.

"They're my new babies!" Y/N beamed, looking at each snake with affection.

Mattheo let out a frustrated sigh, though there was an amused smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "Remember when we agreedβ€”no more pets, Y/N?"

"Yeah, yeah," Y/N said dismissively, brushing it off. "But they were just too beautiful to leave behind."

Draco folded his arms, leaning against the doorframe with an exasperated look. "You're impossible."

Y/N chuckled before gently picking up each snake one by one, showing them off to the group.

"This one," Y/N said, holding up the first snake, an elegant yellow and white ball python, "is Banana. It's a banana morph. Just look at how the colors pop."

Theo stepped closer, intrigued despite himself. "It's stunning... I've never seen one like this before."

Next, Y/N picked up the second snake, a striking white and grey with cool undertones. "This one is Snow. It's a snow morph, as you can tell by its pale, almost icy color."

Blaise leaned in, clearly impressed. "That one's gorgeous. You have a knack for finding rare ones, Y/N."

Y/N smiled proudly and moved on to the next two. "These two are Muffin and Bagel," they said, holding up the two snakes, both of which had a beautiful combination of white and brown patches. "They're Pied ball pythons. Aren't they adorable?"

Enzo knelt down, his eyes softening. "Muffin and Bagel, huh? Those names are perfect for them."

Y/N giggled, nodding enthusiastically. "I'm already thinking of making little hats for them. Can you imagine? Little knitted hats for their tiny heads! It'll be adorable!"

Mattheo rolled his eyes, but there was a smile tugging at his lips. "You're insane, you know that?"

But Y/N was already imagining all the tiny hats they could make for the snakes. They laughed softly, watching Muffin and Bagel coil around each other. "And their yawns," Y/N continued, practically glowing with joy. "Have you ever seen a snake yawn? It's the cutest thing. I swear, I could just watch them yawn all day."

Blaise grinned, watching the snakes yawn and stretch their tiny jaws. "You're right. That's surprisingly cute. I didn't think I'd ever hear myself say that about snakes."

Y/N giggled, her heart full of love for these creatures. "They're my emotional support noodles. I just... I love them so much. Look at how they're all curled up, so content and peaceful."

Mattheo sighed dramatically, but his expression softened as he watched the snakes. "Alright, no more pets after this. I mean it. If you bring home another snake, I'm taking them and you to the Forbidden Forest myself."

Y/N smirked. "Promise?"

"Promise," Mattheo said with a grin, though they both knew it might not last.

Y/N gently placed each snake back down on the bed, letting them explore the new space. Muffin and Bagel slithered together in a happy, intertwined knot, while Snow and Banana found their own spots, contentedly relaxing.

The boys settled down on the bed, surrounding the snakes as Y/N sat back, their heart swelling with joy. Watching the snakes stretch out and yawn, Y/N could feel an overwhelming sense of peace. These were their emotional support noodlesβ€”silent, gentle, and calming. They knew these creatures might not be for everyone, but for Y/N, they were perfect.

"Okay, I'll admit it," Draco said with a smile, breaking the silence. "They are cute. I'll give you that."

Y/N grinned, feeling an immense wave of happiness wash over them. "See? Told you!"

The boys chuckled, some still shaking their heads, but they all knew one thing for sureβ€”Y/N's emotional support noodles were here to stay, no matter how many times they promised no more pets.
