.
I woke up to the blaring alarm, groaning as I reluctantly dragged myself out of bed. My mind was foggy, and the last thing I wanted to do was get up and face the day.

I rubbed my eyes, feeling the weight of exhaustion settle in, already frustrated at the thought of getting ready to move and go through motions.

It felt like I had just gotten comfortable, and now I had to force myself to put on a brave face and deal with everything waiting for me outside the warmth of my covers.

I walked to the bathroom, the weight of the day already pressing down on me. With every step, the frustration planted in my mind, making the simple act of stepping into the shower feel like another chore.

I hoped the hot water might calm me, but deep down, I knew it wouldn't be enough to shake the feeling.

I stepped into the shower, the hot water hitting my skin but doing little to ease my frustration. Every thought was consumed by the looming move, and the idea of leaving the house I lived in for so long made me feel drained before the day had even started.

I stared at the clock, already feeling the weight of the day ahead, frustrated that I had to rush through getting ready just to pack up and move.

Once I finished in the shower, I stood in front of the mirror for a moment, wiping away the fog. The emotion still clung to me, the reality sinking in with every passing second.

I knew I had to get ready, but the thought of starting the day felt like just another hurdle to get through.

I was walking slowly downstairs, the weight of Bewildering settling heavily on my shoulders as I thought about the endless packing, the stress of moving, and the uncertainty of starting over.

Every step felt heavier than the last, and just as I reached the bottom, I saw my mum standing there, her familiar, calm presence almost a stark contrast to the storm of emotions swirling in my head.

She gave me a soft, understanding smile, as if sensing exactly how overwhelmed I felt, and for a brief moment, I found myself wishing I could just pause everything and find some peace amidst the chaos.

"Do we have to go?" I kept whining about how unfair the situation was, as I refused to listen.

"Quit the whining and get packing!!" My dad growled under his breath, irritated by the constant interruptions.

I chose to obey dad knowing that his patience is wearing thin.

While I packed I found a dusty portrait that was hidden far inside my closet , My hand swiped it back and forth cleaning it, it revealed me with a bunch of other kids that look unfamiliar.

I shrug and threw it into the box with a bunch of other things before taping it up and placing it gently in the moving van.

I rushed up the stairs and into my room, unzipping my suitcase with urgency as I frantically shoved clothes inside.

"You don't need to rush!" My brother chuckled, leaning casually against the doorframe.

"I just don’t want to be the last one ready," I muttered, searching for a better excuse. "But you *are* the last one, since I’m already done!" He smirked.

I rolled my eyes, grabbed my suitcase, and shot him a look.

I dragged my suitcase down the stairs, each thud echoing until it smoothly reached the bottom and rolled toward the front door, where my parents were waiting.

"Are you all packed?" my dad asked, raising an eyebrow.

I nodded and headed outside, placing my suitcase in the trunk. "You're not talking much. Are you sad?" my older brother teased.

"What? No, it's just... it's gonna be different, living in a whole new house," I mumbled, my voice trailing off. "True, true," he agreed, slamming the trunk shut.

"Alright, you two, get in the car," my mom urged. I slid into the backseat beside my brother, gripping the seatbelt tightly as I buckled in.

The engine roared to life just before we hit the road. I rolled down the window, letting the cold air rush in as I watched the world blur by.

My gaze drifted beyond the car, where the sun shone brightly, its rays stinging my eyes with the slightest glance.

"By the way, guys, it’s gonna be a four-hour trip," my mom announced, only to be met with groans from all of us. "Quiet, you two!" Dad snapped.

I turned my attention to the sky, watching birds flutter above, their soft chirps drifting through the air. "Dad, can you turn on the radio?" my older brother asked.

"Sure," Dad replied, and soon music filled the car, filling the silence with a familiar tune.

I cringed at every lyric that played, my mind wandering as I gazed at the orange sky.

The slow movement of the clouds brought a sense of peace, but soon the calm turned into boredom.

"Wake me up when we get there," I muttered to my brother before closing my eyes and drifting off to sleep.

I suddenly woke up, the darkness closing in around me. A chilling laugh echoed from a distance, sending a wave of dread through me.

Trapped, I lay on the cold floor, pain shooting through my legs. I tried to speak, but before I could, a tall man with black hair and a white button-up shirt appeared before me, his glowing red eyes fixed on mine.

"W-who are you?" I stammered, my body trembling with fear.

He remained silent, his gaze fixed on me as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a glinting knife.

"W-Wait!" I gasped, attempting to crawl away, but a sharp pain suddenly shot through my back, sending a jolt of shock through my body.

I couldn't move, and blood began to pool on the floor around me. "Senpai... is mine..." he murmured, his voice cold.

"W-who’s s-senpai?!" I stammered, choking on my words, fear flooding my chest.

My eyes flew open as I gasped for breath, my heart racing.

"H-Hey, are you okay?" My brother asked, gripping my shoulders and forcing me to meet his gaze.

"Y-yeah, it was just a nightmare..." I replied, sweat dripping down my forehead.

Judo nodded, his concern still evident. "Hey kids we're here!" Mum called out excitedly. I looked up, taking in the sight of our new, massive house.

"Woah! We’re going to live here?!" Judo’s jaw dropped as he stared at the house, comparing it to our old one in awe.

The moving van arrived right on time, while curious neighbors peeked out from their windows, watching us. I grabbed a box, and My brothers voice echoed through the hallway.

"DIBS ON THIS ROOM!!" he shouted. I unpacked my things, carefully placing portraits on the walls, hanging up school photos, and tacking up old sketches in the room I’d chosen to stay in.

After making my bed, I strung up fairy lights, filling the room with a soft, glowing warmth.

As I folded my clothes, a strange unease from the nightmare lingered, but I shook it off as I finished setting up.

I lay on my bed, scrolling through TikTok, when my brother suddenly interrupted. "N/N~ Mum wants you," he said in an overly dramatic voice.

"What for?" I muttered, barely looking up.

"Do you expect me to know everything? Just go to Mum," he shot me a glare.

With a loud groan, I finally got up, walked out of my room, and headed into the lounge. "Yes, Mum?" I asked.

"Your father and I think it's time to stop homeschooling you," Mum said, and my eyes widened in shock.

"But Mum! I know how to read and—" I stated, but she cut me off. "Hush," she interrupted firmly.

"You and your brother will be attending Ackademi High! You'll get to make friends and—"

I sighed. "I know, Mum... when do I start?" She paused for a moment, then smiled.

"Tomorrow!" she said, placing her hands on her hips. "But Mum, I don’t even have the uniform yet—" Before I could finish, she grabbed my hand.

"Then we'll go shopping now! Oh, JU JU!! YOU’RE COMING TOO!" We could hear his loud footsteps as he made his way toward us.

(Judo is your older brothers name by the way unless you can just leave it as your actual older brothers name)

We walked through the mall, taking in the array of shops around us. "Here we are!" Mum exclaimed, practically dragging us inside.

The shop assistant handed me the uniform. "Here you go, miss," she said with a smile. "Arigato," I murmured, feeling awkward, before heading to the changing booth.

I emerged, showing Mum how I looked in it. She clapped her hands together, her eyes welling up.

"Aww, my baby is growing up so fast!" she said, tearing up. "Ju Ju, hurry up and get dressed!"

Mum pushed him towards the male uniform section, and I chuckled. Rather than watching any longer, I changed back into my own clothes.

Mum paid for the uniforms just as the assistant placed them in a bag.

Later, I found myself standing at the balcony, gazing at the homes in the distance.

My eyes stopped on a figure looking up at me. I waved, but they only gave me a serious, almost emotionless look before walking away.

"Is that blood?" I thought, catching a glimpse of something near the corner of a house. I quickly shook it off. "Nah, it must be something else."

That guy looks exactly like the man from my nightmare... Could it be the same person? No, no way. I tried to push the thought aside, but anxiety lingered.

"You should get some sleep," Judo said, walking into the room.

"You should too," I replied with a small smirk, tugging at the corner of my lips. "I will soon, but you should get some rest. We have school tomorrow." I agreed, and he left my room.

I snuggled into my pillows, feeling the weight of the day melt away as my eyes slowly closed, a sense of relief washing over me..
