"Did you know that when we're married, you won't need your necklace anymore?" Minho said as they walked to the village. The three younger boys were running ahead of them, making sure to stay in view so Minho wouldn't worry.
Chan shook his head. "I didn't know that."
"I just learned about it. It's a special extra part of the ceremony. We get a blessing from the gods or something? And you're able to stay in the kingdom without feeling the effects of it." Minho said softly, playing with his fiance's fingers as they walked.
"That sounds cool. It's kind of annoying to always have to remember it in the mornings."
Sleep was the only time when the effects of the kingdom weren't felt. Something about the body fighting off outside magic while asleep? Minho wasn't paying much attention when his sister's told him about it, because he was too busy thinking about his wedding at that point.
He'd learned so much about his birth kingdom in the year he'd been there, and he couldn't think of any place he'd like to be in more than Aecerith. He'd never known where he belonged, but now he did, and it was in the kingdom he was always meant to be in with the people he was always meant to find.
They arrive in the village and are immediately greeted kindly by the townsfolk. That was one of the things that Minho had been afraid of initially, that the village people wouldn't like him, but they were all super kind to him and he tried to reciprocate that kindness as much as he could.
"Awe, thank you!" Minho said with a smile as a little girl handed him a pretty white rose. He took it and gently put it in his hair, smiling as the girl ran off giggling.
His hair was one thing that changed during his journey. Every time he gained a new power, a streak of color would appear in his hair. It was green when he received nature magic, light blue when he got ice, orange and red when he got fire, purple and black when he got night, and other colors when he got other powers.
It made him look unique, but it also put a huge target on him as now his father would know it was him, if he didn't already.
"Ha! I beat you!" Felix shouted triumphantly. He squawked indignantly when Seungmin just teleported a few feet in front of him, smirking smugly.
"You bitch!" Felix shouted, tackling the enderman boy to the ground.
"Felix!" Minho shouted, running over and trying his best to separate the two boys who had started wrestling on the ground.
Jeongin was standing off to the side cackling with laughter, being no help at all. Chan was also no help, just watching with a fond smile as his fiance tried to break up the fighting.
"You guys! Stop before someone gets hurt!" Minho said, pulling the two boys away from each other. If he used magic to add a little bit of strength to himself, well, no one had to know, did they?
"I know you get excited, sweetheart, but you can't just tackle people." Minho said with a sigh. Felix looked sheepish while Seungmin looked smug.
"And you!" Minho whirled around, startling Seungmin. "Quit antagonizing Felix!"
"And you are no help!" Minho shouted, pointing violently to Chan.
"You could have helped me!" Minho was fuming. He was acting a lot angrier than he actually was.
Chan just smirked and walked up to Minho, the allet going silent as his fiance towered over him. Chan wrapped his arms around Minho's waist and the allet melted. Minho completely forgot why he was angry in the first place, just basking in the feeling of Chan's arms around him.
"You know, you guys might be soulmates." Jeongin said with a shrug.
Chan looked at him in confusion. "Soulmates? Why do you say that?"
"Every magical creature has one. Most people have three, others get only two. Romantic, platonic, and familial." Seungmin said.
Felix grinned. "The first words your soulmate says to you appear somewhere on your body when you're born!"
Felix showed his arm, which had two silver sentences. "Are you okay? You look cold." and "Hi, you're my friend now!" Silver letters meant platonic while blue meant familial and gold meant romantic.
"Seungmin and Jeongin are my platonic soulmates!"
Minho suddenly looked very dejected. He'd heard about soulmates but didn't know much about them. All he knew is that he didn't have any soulmates because he had no words anywhere on him. Trust that he'd looked, a million times.
"Why do you look so sad?" Jeongin asked.
Minho sighed. "Chan isn't my soulmate. I don't have any soulmates."
Seungmin perked up, saying, "He could be, though! Chan doesn't have any soulmates either!"
Chan noticed how Minho was still distressed, even seeing tears in the younger man's eyes.
"Kids, why don't you guys go do whatever you planned to do." Chan said to the three younger kids. Seungmin and Jeongin understood and dragged Felix off.
Chan let go of Minho, smiling softly when the man whined. Chan looked his fiance in the eyes.
"Soulmate or not, I'm in love with you and that's never going to change. Even if I did have a soulmate, I'd still want to marry you and you only." Chan said, bringing Minho into a gentle kiss. Minho's tears finally fell. He'd never felt more loved in his life than in that moment.
"You mean that?" Minho asked, his voice small.
Chan smiled lovingly. "I mean every word. You are my everything, Minho. They could offer me the world and I'd still want you."
Minho was so glad he was marrying this man.

"I feel so bad for Minho. I can't imagine not having any soulmates at all. Even Chan has Jisung as a familial soulmate." Jeongin said softly as he, Seungmin, and Felix walked through the village.
As they were walking, Seungmin felt eyes on them. He stopped and turned to the side to see a girl staring at them. Seungmin's eyes went wide as he realized she was an enderman like him. She was wearing a dark purple dress with gold jewelry. Her eyes were red instead of purple like most enderman.
What was an enderman doing in Aecerith?
Jeongin and Felix watched in confusion as Seungmin approached the enderman girl.
"Why are you staring at us?" Seungmin asked the girl curiously.
"I've never seen another enderman." The girl answered honestly.
Seungmin looked confused. "You haven't? Are you not from Ariales?"
The girl shook her head. "I was born and raised here in Aecerith with my twin brother."
"What's your name?" Seungmin asked.
"Raina." The girl said with a small smile.
Seungmin nodded. "You've really never seen another enderman?"
Raina shook her head once more. "Nope. My dad was an enderman, but he died a month before my brother and I were born, so we never got to meet him. And no other endermen live in Aecerith. It's mostly timebenders."
"Why are you all alone?" Seungmin asked. He'd noticed that there was no one with her, and she looked kind of lonely.
"My brother disappeared like an hour ago and left me here." Raina said with a shrug.
"Do you want to join us?" Seungmin asked, gesturing to where Felix and Jeongin were watching the interaction.
"I don't want to be a bother." Raina said softly.
Seungmin shook his head. "You wouldn't be a bother. It's not much fun being alone."
Raina smiled softly. "I guess I could join you."
Seungmin reciprocated the smile. "We were just gonna go get something to eat."
Raina nodded in understanding and followed Seungmin over to the other two.
"Guys, this is Raina." Seungmin introduced. Raina waved at the other two royals shyly.
Jeongin grinned. "It's nice to meet you, Raina. I'm Jeongin and this is Felix."
"Thanks for letting me join you guys." Raina said quietly.
Felix became impatient and whined, "It's nice to meet you, but can we go already? I'm hungry!"
Seungmin sighed. "I already told you, if you keep whining I'm not buying you anything."
Jeongin snickered. "If you were really that hungry, Felix, you should have brought your own money instead of making Seungmin pay for everything."
"He offered!" Felix whined. "He's rich anyways!"
"Felix, you're literally a prince. You're just as rich as he is." Jeongin said, rolling his eyes.
Raina's eyes went wide. "You're a prince?"
Seungmin looked over at her. "Oh, did you not know? We're all royalty. Jeongin is Prince of Lanyth, Felix is Prince of Anglosand, and I'm Prince of Ariales."
Raina looked between the three of them in disbelief. "Are you sure you want to hang out with me?"
Jeongin smiled softly. "Your status doesn't change anything. We still want to be your friends."
Raina looked down at the ground sadly. "I... I've never had any friends."
Seungmin met Jeongin's sad look. "You haven't had any friends?"
"The kids at school always said I was weird because I looked different than them." Raina said sadly.
Seungmin's expression hardened. "Then they're idiots because who wouldn't want to be your friend?"
Raina looked up from the ground with wide eyes. "You really mean it?"
Felix grinned. "Yeah! More friends!"
"But... but I thought royalty weren't allowed to associate with commoners." Raina mumbled.
Seungmin grimaced. "That's a super outdated rule that literally no one follows anymore."
Felix shook his head. "My dad enforced it, but he's not around to enforce it anymore."
Raina smiled shyly. "Thank you for wanting to be my friend."
"Don't mention it. We should get going if we want to get a table at the diner." Jeongin said to Seungmin who nodded in agreement.
As they walked to the diner, neither Seungmin nor Jeongin noticed the nervous look Felix gave Raina.
Or the sinister smirk she sent him back.
