It was the end of the school day and as usual, you walked out the school exit. Though, this time it was different.

This time you didn't wait for Scaramouche nor your other friends before heading home. And your mother was the sole reason for that.

While you were walking out the exit, you felt someone approaching you from behind. You turned around to take a look and it was someone you were afraid of seeing. Scaramouche.

The man quickly grabbed your hand and pulled you alongside him as he continued walking down the path. "What are you-" "Quiet."

He brought you to the end of the pathway and stopped to turn around. "Wait, is your mom going to pick you up today?" He asked.

"No-? Why?" You looked at him while raising a brow. "Alright," he said while taking in a deep breath. "I wanted to talk to your mother but Baal told me not to."

"I wonder why lol," you tried making the mood lighter but it didn't really work. "Oh shut up. I was going to anyway but your mother isn't here. What a shame."

"Right. But I really should go now though. She's probably waiting for me at home," you said while rubbing the back of your neck. "Yeah I know. I just wanted to say don't worry or whatever. I will figure something out."

"Alright, as long as it's nothing violent haha." While the two of you continued your conversation, an unexpected figure arrived.

"Y/n. I'm disappointed," the lady said, which made you quickly turn around to face her. Your eyes widened at the sight, while Scaramouche's dulled.

"Mom I-" before you could even begin your sentence, she interrupted you. "Why don't you listen to me? You've never disobeyed me before so why now? I am hurt, y/n. You hurt me."

"I'm sorry but I-" your mother interrupted you again. "Quiet. Not another word. I've had enough of your disobedience," she raised her voice which immediately brought you to a state of panic.

"But it's not fair. You won't let me even explain," you retaliated which caused your mother to raise her hand. "I said be quiet!" as she was about to fling her hand across your face, Scaramouche quickly grabbed it.

"What do you think you're doing?" She looked over and met his furious gaze. "I've had enough of your bullshit. I don't care if you're y/n's mother, I've tolerated you enough," he scowled.

"What will you do?" She grinned, challenging the already fuming male. "I'll forget the fact that you're a woman," he retaliated.

"Calm down both of you," Baal appeared out of nowhere and quickly separated the two, pulling Scaramouche away from your mother.

"Ms. L/n, I take it that you won't cause a commotion on school grounds, yes?" She looked towards your mother with a calm face. Your mother rolled her eyes. "Of course."

"Then take your leave," Baal declared to which your mother crossed her arms at. "I was planning to. Y/n, let's go. Now," she ordered while walking away.

You didn't respond and just followed her, being afraid of her reaction once you arrive home. She usually never raised her hand at you, this was surely a first.

It troubled you that your mother was angered to the point of choosing violence. Just how exactly will she react once she finds out about your true relationship with Scaramouche?

Baal let out a thorough sigh and glanced at Scaramouche. "I thought I told you to be patient," she narrowed her eyes at the smaller man.

"I am being patient," he looked away from her and clicked his tongue. "You call that being patient?"

"I just wanted to tell y/n not to worry, that's all. But that shitty lady raised her hand at y/n, what else was I supposed to do?"

"Oh my god, Scaramouche, just stay away from y/n for now. Can you do that?"

"Whatever," Scaramouche mumbled as turned around to walk away. Baal brought her palm to her forehead.

"I swear, this boy is going to be the death of me."
