Nick abruptly jumped forwards and grabbed his wife, holding her forcefully to his chest pointing his gun in several directions. Ziggy screamed noticing Aurora's terrified look as she shook from fear. She was scared but she accepted that her death ensured Nick would die too, it was a small price to pay.

"Deena! Get them away from me!" Nick shouted, "If I die, she dies!" Aurora let out a shaky breath, "how could you? After everything we've been through!" Nick whispered into her ear roughly as she let out a small cry.

"I can't live with you killing people anymore, I tried Nick, I love you but this is the way it has to be" She sobbed, "Deena! Don't worry about me! It's okay!"

"I love you! How can you tell me you love me while trying to kill me? I gave you everything! You said you'd follow me until the ends of the earth" 

"That was until I remembered that you killed my sister. I have never supported this! You promised to find a way out!" She cried, this was not how it was planned out, this hurts a lot more.

"I lied... I guess we're both good at that but at least I never planned to kill you! I lov-" Nick never got to finish his sentence as Skull mask stabbed him in the back. He let go of Rory and she stumbled forwards before catching her footing and running as the killers made their way towards her.

She didn't get very far as the milkman grabbed her and began licking her neck. She screamed drawing everyone's attention towards her. Nick looked at his wife, despite everything he couldn't let her die so he shouted at Deena.

"Your blood is on her! It's on Aurora!" Nick quickly began fighting off Skull Mask as he threw him to the floor and attempted to dig a knife into his neck while keeping an eye on Aurora.

The Milkman threw Aurora to the ground, quickly getting on top of her to try and stab her with his screwdriver. Deena watched her struggle and realised she couldn't let her die, she picked up the knife at her feet and dragged it across her palm. All the killers snapped their heads to look at her, sensing her blood was much stronger than the two they were currently after.

Nick ran off towards the door, looking back at his wife who was still struggling on the floor he decided they would have a talk at length later because they were too far past marriage counselling at this point. 

"Go! Go! We got him!"

Deena quickly sprinted after Sheriff Goode through the door as Martin hit Skull face with a chair, knocking him down. Ziggy grabbed a chair that was near her before hitting the Milkman with it and helping Aurora up. All four of them sprinted towards one of the shops and started pulling the gate down as Aurora pulled off her sweater carefully and slide it under the gate towards the killers.

"It's my sweater, it's covered in her blood!"

"Go! We'll handle them!"

The four looked at each other in fear as Deena ran through the door. Ziggy pulled a shaking Rory into her arms.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. Deena should've let us die" She wailed into Ziggys arms.

They all rushed to make a plan and occupy the killers while Deena dealt with Nick.

Deena walked through the dark corridors slowly, red lights and alarms going off. Breathing heavily she noticed the vent and remembered the tunnels. She knelt down to open the vent and lowered herself in. She began crawling and turned her headtorch on that Josh had given her. She continued crawling until she found the main tunnels.

"Goode!" She shouted after him.

Nick gasped looking around with his torch, he wasn't aware that Deena knew the tunnels but no matter how well she knew them, he knew them better. He limped his way through the tunnels playing an intricate game of cat and mouse.

"Nick!" She shouted and repeated herself soon after, not really expecting a response. 

"Solomon forged this place with nothing but words and stone! Awakening this power from the depths of the earth!" Nick shouted back, "He extended his hand to the darkness for my family, for me!"

"What about your wife Nick? Are you going to kill her like Solomon killed Eudora when she couldn't stand by and let him murder anymore? Aurora doesn't deserve this, you ruined her life!"

Deena tried to follow his voice but the sound echoed around the cave. She rolled her eyes slightly as he continued his 'Villian' speech.

"You did that! You turned her against me. I would never harm her! Not even after what you convinced her to do. 300 years it's lived, grown. We've cultivated it. We've sacrificed for it. And you think you can stop it?"

Deena listened to his voice and didn't notice Sam approaching until she tackled her. Sam grunted demonically as she tried to choke Deena. Deena begged for her to stop until memories flashed through Sam's mind and she loosened her grip. Deena pushed her away and hit Sam's head on the floor effectively knocking her out.

Deena gasped, spluttering to catch her breath. Crawling along the floor she met a pair of shoes, her eyes scanned up the body before landing on Nick Goode's figure who was holding her knife.

"Looking for this?"

Deena whimpered as Nick climbed on top of her with the knife, shouting as she tried to keep the knife from burying itself in her body. Both scrambling for the upper hand in their fight.

"You're gonna be famous!" Nick grits out and she screams, "Shadyside's newest piece of shit makes the front page! Local dyke slays girlfriend, friends, brother. And they're gonna give me a fucking medal."

Deena began hearing whispers from the beating organ next to her and had an idea, but she needed the last word.

"But you're wife will never fucking forgive you!"

She screams and pushes Nick with all her strength into the heart. Nick freezes, all the Shadyside murders from the beginning flash across his vision. Witnessing the death and destruction his lover begged him to stop. Every murder, no matter how brutal. But the one that really caught his attention, his sister-in-law, Melissa's murder and her parents taking her off life-support, the pain Aurora was in from it.

"The truth shall be your curse."

Sarah Fiers voice echoed in the cave where Solomon Goode tried to kill her. Nick stood up and looked around wide-eyed. 

"I will shadow you for eternity"

Nick took off down the tunnel trying to outrun the voice.

"And everything you take..."

 But at every turn he took, he saw a dead victim of the Shadyside killers, his victims.

"And everyone you harm... You will feel the grip of my hand!"

Nick ran faster as more bodies showed up throughout the tunnel.

"I will never let you go."

In Nick's mind, he saw a woman who looked like Aurora crying in front of him and he froze.

However, Deena appeared in front of him and dug the knife into his neck and pulling it out sharply as his body dropped breaking the curse. Deena watched the organ disappear and rushed to Sam, finding the girl back to normal. Both girls rejoiced and looked for an exit in the tunnel.

"Let's get outta here."

The Shadyside killers advanced on Aurora, Ziggy, Martin and Josh. Ziggy had the gun raised and pointed it at the closest killer which happened to be Billy, however, she had already emptied all the bullets. Ziggy gasped as the killers all exploded into files disappearing into thin air.

"She did it" Josh commented looking around, "She fucking did it."

Martin collapsed onto his knees as Josh and Ziggy made their way closer into the mall, to where the killers were only moments ago.

"Ziggy?..." A voice gurgled out from behind the three who were celebrating in relief. Ziggy turned, alarmed at the way her voice sounded.

"No... no... NO!" She screamed out running towards the rapidly falling body attempting to catch her before she hit the ground.

Ziggy caught her head seconds before it hit the floor. Resting her head on her lap she pushed her dark hair out of the way. Josh and Martin both rushed over, looking at the scene that looked like something from 'the exorcist'.

Ziggy quickly sat her up as she began to choke. Aurora's eyes, nose, ears and mouth had blood pooling from them at a speedy rate. Ziggy screamed at the boys to call an ambulance, both scrambling to carry out the task. Aurora's eyes blurred and tinted red.

"No... god no..." She cried stroking her hair gently, "not you too." Aurora gurgled trying to speak through the mouthful of blood she couldn't get rid of. "No, don't talk."

"I'm sorry... you were right... I should've... stayed away from... him" She slowly choked out as Ziggy cried.

"It's okay, I forgive you. Just stay with me the ambulance is nearly here" She said as she overheard the boys on the phone and could hear the sirens getting closer, Aurora nodded faintly. Her eyes were barely open as she looked up at Ziggy, "I love you, Aurora. Hang on!"
