Why am I always right about bad things? I guessed right about Dracula because right after everyone left the pool area and Johnny got out of Blobby...why does that sound weird? Anyways. Dracula grabbed me and Johnny by the back collar of our shirts and lifted us off the ground. Walking out of the pool area and into this creepy-looking Cemetery. I feel like a baby animal being carried by its parents by the neck.

"Oh, you messed up, baby. You two messed up big-time. I told you two to take it down. You'll ruin my hotel if they find out." He proclaimed while still walking us deeper into this creepy-looking cemetery.

"Well, maybe you're just jealous that people are finally having fun at this place." Johnny pouted while crossing his arms. I just hung there annoyed at both of them. They sound like children fighting over candy or just maybe siblings fighting over clothing?... I decided to just kinda hang there watching them.

"Oh, that?" Dracula let go of our shirt collar and faced us. "That was not fun." He pointed aggressively to where we had just come from. "Everyone running," He started running in place, "Jumping," He started jumping very dramatically "Swimming with no order." He just kinda flared his arms around. "That was the opposite of fun" finishing while walking over to the other side of us, closer to Johnny. I saw his cape flap around behind him as he moved so dramatically.

"That's like...The definition of fun?" I spoke for like the first time in a while. Johnny and I made eye contact with each other before turning back to look at Dracula.

"Ella's right! That's like the book definition of fun... For the most part." Johnny stomped his feet while having to look up to see Dracula.

"I bet he doesn't even know what fun is," I said, crossing my arms and giving Dracula a suspicious look. He kinda sus.

"Do you even know what fun is?" Johnny continued. Then Dracula yelled back to us on how 'He invented fun' yeah right. The both of us turned to one another and just straight up ignored Dracula.

"What a liar. How can one person invent 'Fun'" I undid my arms to where they were now doing quotation in the air, then they fell back down to my side.

"I know right! Boy, the wrong people get to be immortal." Johnny responded.

"Oh boy! Imagine being immortal! Imagine all the cool stuff we could do that would take us forever but not really because we would be immortal." I started rambling out fantasizing about the impossible.

Suddenly Dracula turned Johnny over to where he was now facing him. He pulled his cap over his mouth and that just left his eyes, plus half his nose showing. It's a typical Dracula move. Wow. Can't believe I am seeing this. Wait what's he doing?

"Look at me. You remember nothing of this encounter. You have no memory of this place or the monsters you met. Now go take your friend and never return." He said with a low voice while his eyes glowed red. Oh is he mind-controlling Johnny! Cool. I walked closer to them and stopped near Dracula's side, my attention turned to Johnny. His face was interesting...

Johnny after hearing he couldn't return shook his head and looked confused at Dracula. "Wait, never return to the hotel?" He looked at me then back at Dracula.

"Aw. Come on. I wanna come back. This place is fun! I didn't even ask blobby questions on how he's even alive. Like how does he ev- " I started talking while walking over to Johnny and stood next to him.

Dracula took a moment to respond. It looks like his lost brain cells. "What?" He cuts me off my ranting. "You were supposed to forget the hotel." He waved his hands over Johnny's face. " I just used my powers to erase your memory. I looked straight into your eyes." sounding so confused while he pointed at Johnny's eyes. He even looked over at me for answers. I just shrugged my shoulders at him. Don't look at me, I don't have any powers.

"Huh. Oh, maybe it's the contact lenses." Johnny lifted his left hand and pointed to his left eye. A small "What?" came out of Dracula. "These little plasticky doodads that help me see better." Then Johnny decided to show an example and tried to grab his contacts from his left eye. "Here, let me just try and get them out real quick."

"Oh, that is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen!" Dracula freaked out instantly. He pleaded to Johnny to stop, lots of time but Johnny was in the zone of trying to get his contacts. Ew Johnny really, right now?

"Almost got it." Johnny said, completely ignore him. "Stop doing that. Please stop doing that! Fingers away from the eyeballs!" Dracula's face is really priceless. I should help this stupid situation stop.

"Johnny, that's gross. Don't do that so suddenly. Do you even know where your hands have been? You were just in a pool with a whole lot of monsters! You could get your eye infected." I jumped in trying to help the situation and also stop Dracula from freaking out more. I grabbed Johnny's arms away from his eyes and lowered them down. Shaking my head.

"Finally!" Dracula stopped freaking out and moved closer to us once again. He loomed over us while speaking. "Listen to me. You two are never to return here. Stay away and never tell humans about this place. Or I will track you down and suck every ounce of blood from your body until you look like a deflated whoopee cushion!" He slowly moved closer to our faces while his face slowly morphing into a scary-looking face. Okay, now I am kinda scared of him. He stared at us for a few more seconds then told us to leave. His hands went straight up and pointed behind us. Indicating the direction he wants us to go.

Johnny only glared at him while turning around and grabbing my arm to leave. He stomped away dragging me along with him. "Aw, man," I mumbled out sadly.

We both walked around the creepy cemetery in silence for a few more seconds before Johnny started to ramble out his frustration. How do we even get out of here?

"Can't believe we are leaving, man. It could have been so great! Ella that dude ruined everything. " Johnny let go of my arm while he stopped and continued to rant while looking at me. I assumed he was going to do this for a few so I decided to lean against a gravestone while watching Johnny. "How could he even say he would suck our blood. I should have just said " He then struck a pose.

" 'We are staying, old man!' Give him a Bruce Lee kick. Boom! Right in the-"

Then out of nowhere two small bats flapped their wings over to us. I can't lie when I said my heart didn't stop for a good second after seeing bats. Johnny on the other hand screamed, jumping into the air and landing in my arms. His sudden outburst and his jumping into my arms had me stumbling backward. His arms crossed over his head, probably to hide and cover himself. I could hear him quietly whisper out ' We were leaving'.

One bat landed where I was before Johnny jumped into my arms, which was on the gravestone. The other bat flew behind me, then I felt a slight wind behind me, running shivers down my spine. A hand resting on my back, helping me to stop my stumbling back. My head instantly turned back to see who was there. Wouldn't you guess it, Markus shows up in all his glory. His eyes were closed for a second as he smiled then they opened, locking eye contact with me. They lingered on me for a second then I saw his eyes move over to Johnny's scared body hugging me.

For a split second, I swear I saw Markus smile drop. Drop almost into a frown but before it could his attention snapped back towards me and that smile came back.

"Markus?!" I spoke out loud, surprised. My head turned towards the other bat I saw, that landed on the gravestone. If that was Markus then on the gravestone must be- "Mavis?!"

My guess was right. Mavis was now sitting legs crossed on top of the gravestone smiling at us. A small laugh escaped from her mouth as she watched us. After basically yelling out Markus, and Mavis's names, Johnny lifted his head out from his arms. His eyes landed on Mavis then tilting his head up a little which landed on Markus.

"What brings you guys here?" I questioned them while thinking back to them already heading inside the Hotel a while ago. Johnny decided he wasn't so scared anymore and got out of my arms. Thank god. I couldn't carry him for long.

My question didn't get answered because Mavis wanted us to follow her. She got off the gravestone and moved closer first to me then at Johnny. Johnny and I looked at one another remember what Dracula said and also what he would do if he found out we were still here.

Mavis walked away with Markus close behind while Johnny and I stayed where we were.

"Oh. No, no, Mavis, we can't. We have to leave." Johnny explained while looking at the ground. I nodded in agreement. I saw Mavis continue to walk closer to an open cave close by, while Markus turned back around and walked over to us.

"I don't think you guys want to miss out on this," Markus explained while stopping next to me. His eyes moved from Johnny and then me. "It'll be fun," Mavis said while walking back into the cave. Without hesitation, Johnny agrees, wow, Mavis already knows how to persuade Johnny. Doesn't take much. I watch the two head into the cave together, Johnny closely following behind Mavis. Leaving just me and Markus at the graveyard.

Silence fell between the two of us "Hey..." Markus decided to speak, which snapped my attention away from the cave and onto him. I couldn't help but notice his outfit, he wasn't in his swimwear like before. His black swim trunks now switched to his usual dark jeans with rips and tears, his shirt was like I saw it when I first laid eyes on him.

"Done checking me out?" He said while one of his eyebrows was raised. I rolled my eyes in response while crossing my arms at him. I also took notice one of his arms was tucked behind his back away from my view.

He took that as a cue to continue speaking. "I think you forgot something, little witch"

I looked up at him with a raised brow, confused as to what he was hiding.

"What'cha got their vampire boy," I said while I tried to sneak a peek at what he was hiding. He instantly backed up to further make it difficult to see.

"Woah. Slow down, Little Witch. I can't just let you see it for free. What do I get out of this?" Markus proclaimed while he started floating up a little into the air.

My attempt to sneak a peek went in vain as every time I got close to him. He would either float higher or swing to the opposite side. This happened for a good minute.

"Fine. What do you want?" I rested my arm on my hip while I continued to look up at him. He pretended to think real hard while his free hand rested on his chin. He stayed like this for a good second. He eventually lowered himself back down to the ground and looked back at me. The arm that was behind him moved and plopped something on my head.

Surprisingly it was my witch hat I left at the pool. My hands grabbed the hat off my head and lowered it to eye level so I can see it better. When did he get this?

"If you are wondering when I got it. I flew over the pool area with Mavis while we were looking for you two and saw it just laying there. I assume you want it back. Besides. What's a witch without her hat?" Markus explained like he read my mind.

"Oh, so you guys were looking for us?" I looked at Markus with a sly smile. His face turned a light red while he looked anywhere but me.

"No...Well yes but no... Mavis wanted to.." I just nodded my head while he stuttered out an explanation. It's fun teasing him. I should probably stop, he did get me back my hat.

"I am kidding. But, what made you think I would pay you back now that I got my hat?" I said with a smirk.

"Because" He began to speak. "I trust you" He finished with a serious tone, his face getting really close to mine while he was still floating. Surprised and flustered I took a step back from him. My face heated up from that action.

"T-thank you for getting me my hat. What do I owe you?" I said while lifting the hat and setting it comfortably on my head. While hoping to change the topic. He stopped floating and took a step closer to me while he held out his hand, a smile on his face.

" A dance at my birthday party tonight?" One of his eyebrows lifted while he looked into my eyes. I could get lost in his blue eyes. I was hesitant to grab his hand because I wouldn't know if I could keep that promise. Dracula doesn't plan on having a stay for the party. I don't wanna lie to him.

"I will try my best to have a dance with you" My small promise seems to satisfy him because once he got a good response he whole face seems to have brightened. I rested my hand on top of his as I gave him a smile. When I put my hand on top of his I expected it to be cold, knowing he was a vampire. I guess the rumor of vampires being cold-blooded was false because I felt the warmth within his hand. Or maybe it was because of me and my small crush on this vampire.

"We should probably catch up to Johnny and Mavis'' Markus suggested while looking over at the cave they went into a while ago. Oh dang. Forgot we were supposed to follow them in. They probably didn't even notice we were lagging behind.

I gave Markus a nod while we headed into the cave Johnny and Mavis went in a while ago. Our hands were still holding one another.

After a few minutes of walking, mostly in the dark. We ended up on top of a roof. Not just any roof, but the hotel's roof. Like the big castle roof! Oh my god, we are so high up! To get to the roof, Markus and I went through this fire pit wool thing. I have no idea what it's called. Maybe a secret door?

Anyways. When Markus and I arrived we saw Mavis and Johnny talking a few feet away from us. They were already sitting down and enjoying the view of the surrounding area. The sound of the door I got out of closed and got the attention of Johnny and Mavis. Their heads snapped up, surprised. I gave them a small wave and a smile while Markus said a small 'Hey'.

"There you two are. I started wondering why it took you two so long." Mavis said with a smirk over to her brother. The two of them made room for Markus and me to sit.

"We got distracted. That's all" Markus said while rolling his eyes at Mavis. Markus sat next to Mavis but made enough room for me to sit between them. I am guessing he wants me to sit between him and Mavis. I don't mind. I actually have gotten quite close to Mavis. She's really nice and funny once you get to know her. During the bingo game and pool party, we have gotten a chance to talk and get to know each other. Turns out she also enjoys a lot of things I do.

I set myself down next to her while looking over the view.

"Hey looks like you got your hat back Ella," Johnny pointed out once he took a look on my head. Everyone took a look at my head once it was announced. I heard Mavis let out a small laugh while looking over to Markus.

"Yeah. I was lucky enough to have had Markus find it by the pool" I looked over at Johnny then back at Markus.

"So what were the two of you talking about before we got here?" Markus asked, trying to change the subject away from the hat. The question had others meaning to it and that got their two faces to redden a little. Mavis who was closer to Markus than Johnny reached over to him and gave him a playful shove. She had to reach over me but I didn't mind. I just leaned back a little knowing what was happening and laughed.

"It's not like that. We were just talking about music festivals and stuff.." Johnny said. " A human music festival Markus, can you believe that," Mavis continued, sounding so impressed. Markus face turned to a surprised one once he heard what Mavis said.

"Woah. For real?" Markus asked while leaning against his arm for support closer to me. "How did you do that Johnny. Alone without them attacking you?" Markus added.

" Did they all bite your toes and shove garlic bread in your face?!" Mavis jumped in suddenly. Which surprised me because it sounded ridiculous but by the way her face was. She sounded serious. Johnny looked confused and looked over at me, to which I only responded with a shrug.

"Well I wasn't alone. Ella was with me." Johnny began to explain to the both of them. He got up from his spot and started walking along through one of the shingles of the roof. The three of us that were sitting watched him while listening. " and no they didn't shove garlic or bite our toes. Well, one dude took a bigger bite out of my energy bar than I expected, but I blame that on the heat." Johnny finished while still balancing on the shingle. Looking back at us a few times.

"No, I am pretty sure that guy was just hungry and wanted to steal your energy bar. But you took it away from him before he could," I explain which got the attention of both Markus and Mavis. Johnny gave a shrug in response.

" It's amazing. You two have been everywhere." Mavis said while looking between Johnny and me.

"Well, you know, what's the alternative? Just staying at home, never exploring, never seeing what's out there? I'm only gonna be..." He took a second then continued " 121 once, right? Gotta live it." Johnny said as he got lower to the roof. Johnny, please don't fall. Your parents are going to kill me if they find out you died so stupidly.

I heard a small 'yeah' come from Mavis. Her face looked a little disappointed, and when I checked on Markus. His face also had one of disappointment or sadness he started to look at the surrounding instead of Johnny. They must have been through something with the humans. After that, it became a little quiet, while no one said a thing.

Just past Johnny, I could see the sunrise from the mountains. This view is killer!

"Oh, man. The sunrise from here must be amaz-" Johnny began to say while he looked over at the sunrise that was rising over the hill. He didn't get to finish before Mavis interrupted him with an "ouch". I quickly looked over at her and saw she just got burned by the sun. In response to her burn, she quickly hugged her legs to her chest.

Oh gosh! I forgot they could die from the sun!

Markus who was on my right got up before the sun could burn him. He walked behind me and over to Mavis to make sure she was alright. She gave a small nod in response. I also felt the sun heat hit my legs but because I wasn't a vampire I didn't feel any pain. Usually, the sunlight would feel great against my skin but after I saw how much Mavis was in pain when exposed. It just made me retract my legs from it. I had a feeling if I just sat there with the sun-exposed to me and it wasn't burning me, I was just rubbing it in their faces like a jerk.

Johnny who was surprised by Mavis' response quickly turned his face into worry while turning to her.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Man, you've probably never even seen a sunrise, have you?" Johnny asked.

"No. Not really. Why" Mavis asked back while looking at him. In which he responded by holding out his hand for her to take. Mavis who just rolled with it took it and
