"I'm thinking, we could do a firework show after the concert," you spoke, eyes darted on a piece of paper with the lists of things you guys have decided to do for the foundation week.
"Fireworks? Why?" he raised a brow, looking up from his laptop.
"I don't know, I just think it'll be exciting!" you met his eyes, your orbs sparkling brightly with the idea. "Also, I have a memory of fireworks. If I'm right, it happened somewhere around this year."
His ears perked up. Scaramouche knows what you were talking about. It was the firework show that you attended with him. He remembers how he snuck you out himself since your parents didn't allow you to go considering that they had an important meeting with some clients the next day and they needed you there.
"It'll be dangerous and it could disturb the neighboring areas." he monotonously said, typing away on his laptop as he adjusts his glasses.
You frowned a bit. "But we're having a concert. What's the difference?"
Shit! He must be high because he forgot about the concert.
"Oh right. You're playing for the band too right?" he said, an obvious attempt to divert the topic.
"Mhm!" you hummed in response. "I'm the lead singer but I still don't know what to perform with the band so we still haven't practiced."
"Why don't you just play some Taylor Swift songs?" he suggested, still typing on his laptop.
"Huh? I'm not sure if I can learn plenty of her songs within just a short amount of time." you put a hand under your chin in a thinking position.
"What? But you love Taylor Swift though."
"I do?" you looked at him with curiosity. How did he know? You don't even know if you were a fan, all you knew was you love listening to her songs.
"You memorize every lyric of every song she has in her Red Album. You even memorize the 10-minute version of All Too Well," he said those words so casually.
Out of confusion, you pulled out your phone and went to Spotify. You quickly searched for the song he mentioned and as it started playing, you could somewhat hum along with it and you could even remember almost half of the verses in the song. He was right! But how?
"How did you know? I wasn't so sure and I thought I was a fan before I lost my memories." you turned to him before turning off the music.
Scara stopped typing for a while, he cursed to himself as he forgot how you two weren't dating anymore. God! And he spoke to you as if you guys were okay!
He only knew you were a swiftie because you loved taking him to Taylor Swift concerts all the time before and he's always heard play some of her songs whenever you were around. You even sang some of them when you guys would go out to karaoke with your friends. Because of that, even he started to listen to her songs.
"I could always see you and blondie listen to her songs," he said, trying to keep his cool as he continued to type.
"I mean, I think we could play some of her songs," you said as you pulled out your laptop and turned it on. Your cursor glided towards the search bar of your google as you opened a YouTube tab. You searched for some of Taylor Swift's concerts and started playing them.
You let out a small gasp as the video started playing. Suddenly, a flashback of you being in one of her concerts came to your mind. You were singing your heart out before you heard a voice beside you.
"Stop singing as if you're broken, love!"
"But this is one of her best songs!" the song comes to an end as the crowd went silent as well. The stage was dark again, the lights were turned off before they suddenly flashed back and the tune of the next song was starting.
Drop everything now
"Oh my god! I love this song!" you shouted, you could remember looking to the side as you felt like holding someone's hand. As you turned your head, your eyes met with dark indigo ones.
"I think I like this song!" you heard him shout as the crowd sang along and cheered louder.
Kiss me on the sidewalk
Take away the pain
"Hey." you looked at him once more, the crowd going wild in the chorus as sparks of fireworks started going off in the sky of the open stadium. He looked at you with confusion before you put your hands on both of his cheeks and pulled him closer.
You put both of your lips together in a kiss. You felt him flinch at your sudden move but his shoulders let loose as he kissed back. His arms made their way to your cheeks as he tilted his head to the side for better access.
The lyrics of the song were so cheerful and heart-warming, that he couldn't help but smile in the kiss.
'Cause I see, sparks fly, whenever you smile
God, he loved you so much.
"Earth to Y/n?" you were taken out of your trance as you saw Childe's palms wave in front of your face.
"O-oh. Childe, hi." you stuttered, looking up to finally meet his face.
"You good? You were lost in your thoughts again." he pointed out like it wasn't the most obvious thing in the world.
"Uh, yeah." you looked away from Childe's gaze as your eyes met Scaramouche's figure. He was silently working on his laptop, glasses slowly slipping on the tip of his nose before he pushes them back again.
Heath crawled on your cheeks as your heart pounded faster and faster. Your thoughts were in a whirl and your mind was so confused.
So, you really did have a relationship with him?
He was the man you saw in your flashback. He was the man you kissed while you were in the middle of a Taylor Swift concert.
But why didn't he answer you when you asked him about it? Did something go wrong in your relationship? Could that also be the reason why he acted like you were such a pest?
You were right. He knew something that you could've known. You just forgot.
