Waking up to a commotion outside you look to check. On the grass plains you see a familiar figure.

"Isn't that..."
"The woman from before?" Lumine crept up from behind scaring you.

The two of you decide to investigate with Paimon following behind upon realising she was left in camp.

"Oh travelers, you've arrived. I am-"
Immediately pulling out your claymore you attack which the Shogunate General blocks.

"Name?" Lumine says attacking as well, "tch- why should I introduce myself after you so callously interrupted me?!"

You swing your claymore once again in a way to trip her up and Lumine points her sword at her throat.

"I, Kujou Sara... Order you to fight!"

The Shogunate run into the now battlefield making the three of you caught in crossfire between the two forces, Kujou Sara and Lumine disappear into crowd.

The crowd pushed you the edge of it nearing forest the bordered it. A Shogunate soldier noticed you, pulling out his katana from his sheathe and raising it high into air a sword plunged through his torso.

Just like that his dead body limply hit the floor with a dull thud.

"They're safe..." Teppei removes his sword from the soldiers chest before promptly falling into your arms.

"Tep...pei?" You prop your wounded friend on a tree hidden from the battle.

Lumine finds you sobbing over almost lifeless body watching as the color drains from face, their were shallow wounds but they weren't bad enough to be fatal. The hairs on head became white as if his body was aging quickly.

"Teppei... Why?" I look up to y/n glistening e/c  eyes that refused to let tears fall. They looked away in Lumine's direction. Lumine had a mixed unknown expression, it had one of feigned sadness but truly read: look at you now, worse than ever before. I look away, perphaps of shame and guilt.

"I just wanted to be stronger..." I muttered or tried to, trying to grasp onto my last breath.

Him, it was because of, him.

No more words came out.

.

"Nice sunset, no?"

What? I look up to see hooded man towering over me He was wearing a cropped hoodie and shirt and skinny black jeans adorned with chain from his belt. An fiery glow was emitted from an orb on the belt - a vision wielder.  His icy blue eye pierced though me examining my expression but a soft yet sinister smile crept up his face.

He kneels down to my level and touches the wound on my cheek, it burned for a moment then cooled - the wound was gone along with the pain in my body. I hit his hand to remove it off my face.

"Why?" He ignored my question and the fact I rudely hit his arm and looked away from me, looking at the fields adorned with rays of sunlight.

"You want to become stronger, no? I can help with that?" He saw the fight? He looks back to me pulling down his hoodie revealing red to orange gradient hair and a single matte black, right eye.

"Why should I trust, you?" He pulls out a vision from his pocket, no a delusion. It was geo delusion obvious from it's yellow glow.

"Geo... unmoving, tough as rock. I think it suits you."

"Tough as rock, hah! Not after that fight, if you can even call it that..."

I get up to leave but he didn't stop me, simply watching me leave.

I thought that would be last of him but no. Days later just when I forgot about it, the delusion appears on side of my bed with a note next to it.

The Tenyrou Commission are launching a surprise attack at 6 AM sharp. Good time to prove your worth, for y/n~

"Y/n" was highlighted in red, was she the main target, how he know their name?! That doesn't make sense, why?

Without hesitation I took the delusion and headed to the grass plains.

Gorou was out there and asked me where I was going.

"I can't sleep, so I'm going on a walk."

He yawns and bids me goodnight, I continued on to the field.

"I'm glad it's not cloudy." I muttered, there was no cloud in sight just the moon illuminating the fields. It was serene, peaceful but that didn't last long.

Growling from the bushes became hilichurls as they charged towards me. The next hillichurl was easier than the previous, with me adapting to the delusion.

I watched as the last monster dissipated into dust, clapping could be heard it was the hooded figure from before.

"Well done!" He clapped in an almost snide way as if implying subtly I wouldn't do it.

"Didn't know you'd make it this far," he says, "y/n, you'll keep them safe, right?"

He chuckles and leaves. It almost sounded like a threat.

I look up to sky once more as if searching for an answer written in the heavens, nothing.

I sigh, feeling as if a elephant was on my shoulders. To be fair I had done a 1 v a lot of monsters.

"Let's head back to camp. It's getting late."

That night I couldn't sleep but the comfort of bed got to me.

"6AM"

The man's voice from before woke me up. "The Shogunate...!" Almost on the dot the Shogun's army appeared with a woman looking straight at me before looking away. "What a shabby place," I heard her mutter. She examines the Resistance members that piled up, her eyes narrowed as they exceeded her expectations. Finally she looked at the camp again smiling as she saw what she was looking for - y/n.

That man, he knew what he was talking about, but how? It didn't matter in the end.

I watched helplessly after seeing y/n and Lumine fight together perfectly against Kujou Sara. Did I even have a chance to begin with. They were always so close.

My side clashed with the opposite army without warning, making me fall to ground. The enemy soldier found me and tried striking at me with his katana.

I parried his attack and kicked hard in the stomach with a geo inforced kick, leaving the soldier in pain on the ground, reminds me of someone.

Upon catching a glimpse of y/n I follow her,  fighting my way to the centre, growing tired with every wing. My weakening body gave way for attacks from the Shogunate soldiers.

My eyes were met with a terrible scene, y/n was caught off guard by an attack, before the worst could happen, I pierce my sword though his torso using geo, blood splattered on my clothes.

"Y/n you'll them safe, right?" I remember the man's word from before.

I chucked weakly, "they're safe now..."
