Reece locked up the nursery and got in his car. He dialed Mia, and started driving.

"Reecey." Mia said.
"Mia. What are you planning on doing?" Reece said, rolling his eyes.
"Well, Roger was going to have me do something drastic. I've decided I am tired of his games and I said no. I was just on the phone with him." Mia said, sighing.
"What was he planning on having you do??" Reece asked.
"He found out about you liking Marjorie. That's my fault. He wanted me to harm her in someway. I know I am pretty violent but I am drawing the line there." Mia said.
"Wow. That son of a bitch." Reece said, gripping his steering wheel tighter.
"I do know some insider information though." Mia said, playing with her hair.
"Do tell." Reece said.
"Roger is planning on merging the nurseries with a third nursery. He wants it to be one huge nursery, with one manager. He's planning to not make it Marjorie. Even though Marjorie has been dedicated to the nursery for the past 15 years. I know as kids you wanted to have your own nursery, and this might be the time." Mia said.
"What the fuck?!!!!" Reece yelled.
"Mhm. Apparently he's becoming more aggressive towards Siobhan too. I was thinking we do a nursery takeover and get Siobhan out of there." Mia said.
"I'm on board. I'll relay this message to Aut and Marjorie and go from there. Thanks Mia." Reece said.
"No problem." Mia said, hanging up the phone.

Reece sighed as he pulled in the driveway to his house. He knew Marjorie was busy, but he needed to talk to her. He walked inside his house and called her.

"Hey." Marjorie said, picking up the phone.
"Hey you. I just got off the phone with Mia." Reece said, smiling.

"How did that go?" Marjorie said, her voice changing.
"Good. Turns out she's done being Roger's puppet. She also gave me some insider information and we need to act now." Reece said.
"And what does that mean?" Marjorie said, standing up.
"I would rather tell you in person." Reece said, sighing.
"Come over. I know I have Carly but she's upstairs sleeping." Marjorie said.
"On my way now." Reece said, hanging up the phone.

Reece ran out the door and got in his car and drove to Marjorie's house. He smiled to himself, thinking about her. He picked up his phone and called Autumn.

"What." Autumn said.
"How about hello?" Reece said.
"Hello. Better? What do you want." Autumn said, rolling her eyes.
"Meet me at Marjorie's house. It's important." Reece said.
"God no. The tension between you is insane. I would rather die than see you two flirt." Autumn said.
"Please. It's not about that. Mia told me some stuff, and you need to hear it. It involves all of us." Reece pleaded.
"Fine. On my way now." Autumn said, hanging up the phone.

Reece sighed and called Marjorie to let her know Autumn is coming as well. Reece pulled in Marjorie's driveway and knocked on the door.

"Hey." Marjorie said, pulling him in for a hug.
"Hey you." Reece said, kissing her cheek.
"Disgusting." Autumn said, standing behind Reece.

Marjorie laughed to try and hide how flustered she got, and she shut the door behind them.

"Autumn, you want wine?" Marjorie asked.

"Hell yes I do." Autumn said, walking into Marjorie's kitchen.

Marjorie and Reece followed behind Autumn. Autumn grabbed three glasses and poured wine in each of them.

"So Reece, what is it?" Marjorie asked.
"Well, you guys might want to sit down for this." Reece said.

Reece told the women every thing that Mia told him. Marjorie and Autumn kept looking over at each other.

"Seriously??? You're fucking kidding me." Marjorie exclaimed.
"Keep your voice down." Reece said, holding up a finger.
"Well. I knew this was coming." Autumn said, taking a sip of her wine.
"Yeah. If we all vote for a takeover, that's 3 against 2. We win." Reece said.
"Not so fast." Autumn said. "There's a silent partner. That would bring us to a tie."
"Shit." Reece said. "If I can get Mia on board that's enough, right?"
"Barely. It would work. If we could get Siobhan on our side that would be good too." Autumn replied.
"Yeah." Reece nodded.

Autumn looked at Marjorie, who was swirling her wine glass around. Autumn put her hand on her shoulder, and kissed the side of her head.

"I have to go because I have a meeting in the morning. I'll see you tomorrow Marjorie. Reece, keep an eye on her." Autumn said, rolling her eyes and walking out the door.

"Bye." Reece said.
"I don't even know what to say." Marjorie said. "15 years. 15 million tears devoted to this job. And this is what I get in return??"
"I know. It's horrible. I'm sorry." Reece said, grabbing her hand and caressing her knuckles.

Marjorie sighed and looked up at Reece. Reece smiled faintly at her.

"I really want to kiss you right now, but it seems wrong given the situation." Reece said, looking off to the side.
"Okay." Marjorie said.
"Okay? What?" Reece said, looking back at her.
"Kiss me, Reece." Marjorie smiled.

Reece walked over to her and pulled her close. He leaned down and kissed her lips softly. Her arms wrapped around his neck, and his wrapping around her waist.

"That made me feel better." Marjorie said, pulling away from the kiss and licking her lips.
"Good, I'm glad." Reece smiled, brushing a hair out of her face.

Carly had awoken at this point, and was just watching the two from the top of the stairs. She went back into the room and texted Autumn.

Carly: why is Reece over here?

Autumn: I was over too. Reece needed to talk to us. I left early and told him to look after her. Wait. You were there the entire time??

Carly: yeah. im staying the night. he's certainly looking after her alright

Autumn: What does that mean.

Carly: well they just kissed......

Autumn: That is not what I meant when I said look after her. I'm gonna kill him.
