Violet and Saphirra flew to their base as fast as their wings could get them. The wind speed were getting stronger and stronger by the minute, making it difficult to fly. The storm was not helping either. Occasionally, lightning would strike, starting them. "What do we do about Amber?" Violet asked Saphirra from above her.

"I don't know." Saphirra said, looking down at the ground. "Base shouldn't be far."

"There it is." Violet said, pointing to a familiar rock-like building.

Both girls made their way to the top when an explosion happen at the main entrance. Saphirra grabbed Violet's hand and both land on top of the base. She put her finger to her lips, signaling Violet to stay quiet. They peered over the edge to see their sister walking out with a dark aura surrounding her. The first thing they notice was her appearance. She had black hair and looked very pale. Her wings were black as well. Her fingernails were like claws. The one thing that stood out was her eyes. They were glowing a bright purple. Amber looked around for a moment, before running and flying off into the sky, unaware that two people were watching her.

"Sis..." Saphirra thought. "What has Unicron done to you?"

Violet knew that Unicron was controlling her big sister, but she still scared her. All the more reason to save her.

Saphirra stood and motion her little sister to follow her. They glided to the slightly destroyed entrance. They went through the tunnel and when they got to the end, they landed and look around. Bumblebee, Bulkhead, and Arcee had their servos into weapons. They were standing in front of Optimus Prime, who was very weak. Ratchet was defending the three kids and June Darby. Violet saw burn marks on the ground and walls.

"What happened?" Saphirra asked when she noticed that Raf was on a gurney looking very pale. She was pretending to not know anything.

"Amber," Arcee said, sounding very angry. "She betrayed us."

Violet turn to the burn marks as her and Saph walk to the Autobots. "It would explain the burn marks." She said softly.

"Ember," Raf said, a slight weakness in his voice. "She called herself Ember."

Saphirra turn to Raf. "What happened to you?"

    "Megatron." Was all Ratchet said.

The bots put their weapons away as Violet look at Optimus. "What about you?"

Optimus looked down a little. "Went one on one with Megatron." Bulkhead said. "The volcano suddenly erupted with Dark Energon. His systems was exposed to it."

"I've had enough." Judy snapped. She grabbed one of the gurney's rail. She pulled it up and start to move the gurney to her vehicle. "Jack, please, help me get Raf to the car."

Bumblebee buzzed as he look at June with confusion. "Mom, I thought he was doing better." Jack said, expression the same confusion as he followed her from behind.

"Raf needs to be examined by real doctors," June said as she pass Ratchet. He look down sadly. "And Raf's family needs to know what's happened. His real family."

Jack stopped in his tracks. "Mom, Raf's parents can't protect him," He then gestured to Optimus and the others. "Not like they can."

Optimus slowly stood from the medical berth. "June, it deeply grieves me that I have failed." He then weakly walked to her. "But I will do everything in my power to ensure that no harm comes to our human friends..." He stopped. "Or any human ever again."

Violet looked up at him with sadness in her eyes. She knew that he was meaning about something else too. June stopped. She then look at Optimus. "Optimus, they're children. They do not belong in your world. They should be worrying about grades, prom dates, pimples. Not their own survival!"

"Mrs. Darby, if we don't worry about our survival, we won't be able to experience the things that you just said." Violet said.

"Mom, Dark Energon is pouring out of the Earth." Jack said. "It doesn't do that. This could be about everyone's survival, not just ours."

You're coming with me, all five of you, and they will not be coming back." June said, before resuming her walk to her car.

     "We're not leaving." Saphirra thought.

"I understand." Optimus said, sorrow slightly evident in his voice.

"That's it?" Miko asked, shocked. Optimus looked down at her as she ran to him. "After all we've been through together? 'See ya?' What about our freedom to choose?"

"That may fly on their planet, but not here on Earth." June said as she help Raf into the backseat. She looked at Miko again and pointed to the seats. "Get in."

Miko scoffed, having her arms cross. "Do you really expect me to ride in a non-transforming vehicle?"

"Miko, I'm serious." June said impatiently.

Bulkhead walk up behind Miko as she put her hands on her hips and said, "You're not my mother."

     "Miko!" Bulkhead warned.

Miko turn behind to look up at him. "Neither are you!"

June gave up on her and turned to Jack. She walk forward a few steps to him and said, "Well, I am yours. Let's go, Jack."

Jack was reluctant to go. Arcee walked up to him. He turn to her. "She is your mom." Arcee said, though Saphirra could hear the sadness in her voice.

Jack look back at his mother. Her gaze soften a small bit, but still had a commanding look. "I'm staying." Jack finally said. He look down to the side to avoid eye contact. "I'm sorry."

June's facial expression was shock and disbelief for a moment, before her angry expression returned and she stormed off to the car. "Saphirra, Violet, let's go."

Both girls look at one another. Both of them already know what they were going to do without any hesitation. "I'm sorry, June." Saphirra said. "We're with the others on this one."

She didn't even look back. Bumblebee and Raf looked at each other with sorrow expressions. June shut Raf's door and he put his hand on the window. "Ratchet, activate the Groundbridge." Optimus said to Ratchet.

"No, thank you." June said, before backing up the vehicle and drove through the tunnel. Bee slightly followed them, but stopped at the car drove out of site. Bee looked down sadly.

"What do we do now?" Violet quietly ask Saphirra as she look at Bee.

"We help the bots solve the Dark Energon problem, while finding our sister." She said softly.

"Prime, do you copy?" Agent Fowler's voice came from the monitors as a live feed came, showing that the agent was piloting a helicopter.

Optimus look at the screens. "I hear you, Agent Fowler." He said as him and Team Prime walk towards the monitors.

"Been watching the news? Mother Nature's got a twitch in her britches." Fowler ask the bots.

"We know about the volcano." Optimus answered.

"And the quakes?" Fowler added. Saphirra looked at the screen. Earthquakes? "Seven major tumblers of the exact same magnitude at the exact same time as a volcanic eruption all over the globe on different tectonic plates, in theory, unrelated, if they hadn't happened..."

"...At the exact same time." Ratchet finished.

"Check it out." Miko said. Everyone look at her to see that she was pointing at the TV with the remote. There was a news channel playing. "More good news."

A male reporter was talking. "Freak storms unlike any the region has seen. Tsunamis threaten the Canadian Coast while lighting storms pummel the Gobi Desert. Meanwhile, electromagnetic anomalies plague urban power grids. These abnormal global phenomenon are leaving most to wonder why now and what next."

"Don't tell me your 'cons have built a weather machine." Agent Fowler said

"One that powerful? Highly unlikely." Ratchet said, diminishing the idea.

"I don't not believe the appearance of Dark Energon at this point in time to be coincidental." Optimus said.

"Um, guys?" Violet said with worry. Everyone, including Saphirra, looked at her. Saphirra saw fear in her eyes. "There's a lighting storm near us."

Saphirra looked down, thinking. Realization hit her and she turn to the bots. "Raf and June, they're still out there!"

Bee tensed, before transforming into his vehicle mode and drove off at full speed.

Ember search the ground from the sky, trying to find a certain cave to go to Unicron. After a few moments, she found what she was looking for. As she flew down, her head exploded with pain. She roared out in pain as she clutch her head. She crashed into the ground as her sight changed.

She crashed to the ground and slid on her back, slowly to a stop. She weakly sat up to look at Optimus. His purple optics actually brought fear in her. Arcee was holding Saphirra and Violet tight in her servos, her red optics glaring down at Amber and had a dark grin on her faceplate. Violet was passed out from lack of oxygen and Saphirra was struggling to get out of her grip. Optimus transformed his servo into a blade and raised it high in the air. She raise her arms to block his attack as he swung the sword down...

Ember gasp for breath as her vision went back to normal. She chuckled darkly as she stood and went to the cave. Deep within her mind, Amber's wrists were chained to a stone floor next to her sides. She was in a house of sorts. "It appears that Optimus does not care about you after all." Ember said as she crouch in front of Amber.

Amber weakly look up at her. "He... does." She said weakly. "That... was only... a different Optimus. He was... corrupt-ed."

She coughed up purple blood on the stone floor. Ember chuckled. "Even Arcee didn't like you." She stood. "But don't worry," She walked a few steps away from Amber and look at the screen in front of her. They were in a dark cave, but both could see in the darkness. "Unicron will handle them."

"It takes... more than Uni-cron... to take down Optimus." Amber coughed up more blood.

"Let's put that to the test, shall we?" Ember said, her purple eyes glowing.
........................................................................

All of Team Prime was still in the main room when Bumblebee drove up to them. Saphirra and Violet stop talking to each other and look at Bee. Bee stopped in front of Optimus and Ratchet. His doors open, revealing Raf and June unharmed. "Uh... we're back." Raf said as him and June got out.

"And we are glad." Ratchet responded.

Bee transformed into his main form and Jack approach his mother. "Are you alright? He asked, concerned.

"I will be." June answered. "Jack..."

    "Mom, I --"

"I know. Me too." June said, then hugged her son. Violet made a soft purring noise from her throat. After she let go, she said, "But you're grounded till you're 30."

"Wow, that took a sharp turn." Saphirra thought.

Jack looked down sadly, then she added, "25."

Saphirra chuckled, but then her attention was drawn to the TV as the reporter said, "World leaders are classifying these bizarre weather patterns as a global emergency."

June and Jack joined the humans around the TV. "Global?" June asked in  disbelief.

"It's worse than you think." Saphirra said to her.

"And scientists believe the phenomena to be somehow related to the current planetary alignment." The reporter said.

The elevator doors suddenly opened  and Agent Fowler stormed out. "What have you learned, Prime?" He asked as he walk towards him. "And you better not blow smoke up my oven." He then look to his right and noticed that June was there. He chuckled. "Mrs. Darby. What a nice surprise." He said shyly.

    "Special Agent Fowler." She greeted.

"We have learned this -- " Ratchet said to him, which recaptured his attention and he walk to the edge of the railings. "As with the so-called magma from the volcano, these earthquakes originated far below the Earth's crust, from the very center of the Earth's core, in fact."

On one of the screens, it showed an image of the globe, along with yellow circles scattered around it, signaling where the earthquakes were. It then change to the top, and the yellow circles showed a line to the center of it. "Quakes don't start there." Fowler said. He then looked at June, who was walking to him. "Do they?"

"Tiny tremors rising and falling in a  consistent pattern, Almost like..." On the screen were two different color wavelengths. The top one was red, while the bottom one was green. They were making a constant beeping noise. "By the Allspark!" Ratchet gasped. He look down and pressed some buttons. "If I convert these data points to audio files..."

"What? What is it?" Agent Fowler asked impatiently.

    "Well, listen." Ratchet said.

The two wavelengths came together and as they did, a new sound rang out. A heartbeat. "That's a heartbeat." Violet said in shock. "A Cybertronian heartbeat."

    "A Cybertronian heartbeat?" Jack asked.

"How is that possible?" June asked in disbelief. "A heart pumps blood. There's nothing inside the Earth to pump except --"

"Blood of Unicron." Raf finished in shock.

"Okay, hold on." Miko stopped them. "You mean something's living down there inside out planet?"

"I fear that the Earth's very core is not comprised of magma as your science has suggested," Optimus responded. "But of Dark Energon."

"And if we're hearing a spark, then Unicron is the rising darkness that the prophecy foretold." Ratchet said in realization.

"So, how do we stop this thing from rising?" Fowler asked.

"That, I am afraid, was not foretold." Optimus answered.

"How can something in our Earth's core and be alive?" June asked.

"Such a thing is not unprecedented." Optimus said. "Before the beginning, there was Primus, and there was Unicron. One, the incarnation of creation... the other of destruction. For eons, Primus and Unicron battled... the balance of power shifting between them more times than could be counted. Only by creating the 13, the original primes who preceded me, was Primus finally able to defeat Unicron and cast him out. Primus became one with the very core of our planet, creating life through the Well of Allsparks, while Unicron was never to be heard from again... until now."

"Maybe we can find the hole this uber-'con left when he dug himself all the way down there and fill it full of explosives." Fowler suggested.

"Wow, what a mood killer." Saphirra thought.

"Agent Fowler, I do not believe that Earth became Unicron's home but rather that with time and gravitational force, debris collected around the slumbering titan." Optimus explained.

"Forming your Earth itself." Ratchet finished.

Fowler's eyes widen a little. "And he's only awakening now due to the magnetic pull created by the planetary alignment." Arcee said.

"Okay, well, what happens now when Unicron wakes up from his billion-year nap?" Jack asked.

"Yeah, does he stretch and kapow!" Miko threw her arms out in emphasis. "Earth poofs to dust?"

Optimus was silent. "You don't know, do you?" June asked.

"My guess is that Unicron has transcended physical form as we know it." Optimus answered. "Nonetheless, we must find a way to ensure that this force of nature never fully awakens. The fate of your planet depends upon it."
........................................................................

Amber weakly look back up at Ember, who was still in control. "Why... are you... doing th-this?" She asked very weakly.

"Do I need a reason?" Ember retorted, her arms crossed and looking at the screen in front of her.

     "Y-yes." Amber said.

Ember was quiet for a moment. "I hate the Decepticons, I hate the Autobots, and I hate this stupid war." She said. "I just want this war to end. It's been going on for too long."

"Wh-at do... you... think... tha-t me... and the bots... are tr-ying to do?" Amber replied. She coughed up more blood. There was a puddle in front of her now and she was finding it hard to breath.

"Their methods have not work for million of years." Ember said. "Unicron will stop it. He will be the one to end it.

"And... rage more w-wars... on other plan-ets."

Ember sharply turn around and looked at Amber, who was pale. "No, he will end those wars on other planets as well!" She yelled.

"And kill innocent lives... in the pro-cess." Amber said.

Ember turn back around. "There are always casualties in wars."

Amber looked down and closed her eyes. "True that... th-ere are... casual-ties in wars." She looked back at Ember. "But when... Unicron des-troys other... planets,... it is not a... casualty,... it's called murder."

Ember immediately swung her fist at Amber. Her fist connected to her face and her head whiplash to the side. She fell onto her side, her wrists still chained to the ground. Ember's wings spread out as far as they could from anger. "HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT?! THE AUTOBOTS KILLED HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE! ARE YOU SAYING THAT  IS NOT A CASUALTY?!"

Amber weakly open her eyes. "You know... that... is... not.... true." She groaned out, before falling unconscious.

Ember's eyes widen a little. She knew that it wasn't the truth. She knew that the Autobots were the ones who saved hundreds. Millions of thoughts ran through her mind as she turn back to the screen. She found that her loyalty to Unicron was wavering. It slightly helped when, for a split second, felt regret and sadness. Her left eye flickers from bright purple to bright blue, then back to purple.
........................................................................

Optimus, Saphirra and Violet was walking through a rock valley, looking around for any signs of Unicron. They stopped as they reached a dead end. Optimus look around for a moment, before coming base. "Ratchet, this epicenter is consistent with the findings of the others." He said. "It's terrain is rich in ore."

"So, what does that tell us?" Agent Fowler asked Ratchet, who was at the main monitor.

"If follow that the natural metals in your Earth would be extensions of Unicron." Ratchet answered. "His limbs, if you will."

"So, he did have his morning stretch," June confirmed. "Which is why these quakes happened."

Violet was looking at Optimus when she heard something beside her. She look at the rock wall on her left and Saphirra did to. "Optimus, I'm detecting a swell in Unicron's spark activity."

"Violet, get behind me." Saphirra said and Violet ran to her sister and his behind her.

"Rest assured, Ratchet, we will proceed with vigilance." Optimus assured him.

"Optimus." Saphirra said as she spread her wings out.

Optimus looked at the rock wall when he heard rumbling noises. His optics widen when he saw the shape of Unicron embedded in the rock. "Do you know me,
