"Andreas for the love of god what are you doing in my bed?!"
Maja and Richi stared at Andi with wide eyes, their hearts still racing from the scare they had just experienced. Andreas was now sat up on Maja's bed, his hair sticking out in every direction and his bright eyes were tiredly glaring back at the two in confusion.
"I was napping! Why you gotta come here and scream like that?!" Andreas whinged, rubbing his hands over his face. "I'm about as scary as a butterfly!" He huffed, crossing his arms over his chest in defence while he eyed the knife Richi was still holding, the younger boy's eyebrow rising.
Maja walked up to her bed, her face not showing any emotions. Andi eyed the girl suspiciously, but he still didn't move when she grabbed a pillow.
"Are you insane?!" Maja hissed all of a sudden, hitting the blond with the pillow. Once. Twice. "I thought someone broke into the house!" She continued, hitting Andi another few times. The boy hopped off of the bed and tried to get away, or at least tried to shield himself with his hands, but the girl carried on without a second of hesitation.
The boys began to laugh at the comical scene, she looked as if she had hope that the pillow would actually cause Andi damage, but their faces slowly began to fall when the girl continued the attack a little too long. Her face went back to showing a mixture of anger and fear. Andi eventually noticed the tears in her eyes. Soon enough, Richi caught on too, so he tried to quickly and safely put the knife away before he was going to pry the girl off of one of his best friends.
"Maja stop.." Andreas spoke sternly, but quite calmly. He repeated himself, but the girl didn't react. He eventually grabbed onto the pillow which Maja was still hitting him with and he forcefully tugged it out of her hands. He threw it onto the floor and tightly wrapped his arms around the girl, pulling her into his chest. "Shhh. I'm sorry." He whispered into her ear, feeling incredibly guilty. He pressed his lips to the top of her head before resting his chin on it.
The girl's body was tense, but she slowly relaxed against his warm body. Andi glanced up as Richard walked back into the room and they shared a worried glance.
"Are you okay?" Andreas whispered softly, pulling away. Maja just slowly nodded her head, trying to compose herself. She took a deep breath and avoided eye contact with either of them.
"Why is there a mess in my living room? Did someone actually break in?" The girl asked with confusion evident on her face. She began to nervously fiddle with her fingers.
Andi immediately shook his head. "No! Waffles made the mess and Stephan took him to the vet, then he said something about going for a walk. I think.." The blond started. "I think I was supposed to clean up the mess, but I wanted to take a nap first." He explained, brushing his fingers through his messy air.
Maya backed away with a sigh, sitting down on the bed. She took another deep breath and hid her face in her hands. "I'm sorry, I just got so scared when I saw you on the bed, I didn't recognise you at first. I thought you were a burglar." She tried to explain her behaviour. Andi and Richi both took a seat on either side of her.
"I'd be quite a bad burglar, don't you think?" Andi smiled unsurely. "Falling asleep in the middle of a theft," he clarified.
Unexpectedly, the boys heard the girl chuckle. "I'm sorry for trying to murder you with a pillow, Milka." Maja whispered to Andi, gently nudging his arm with hers. "But if I ever find you in my bed again, I will beat you with a pan, not a pillow."
The boy chuckled, resting his head on her shoulder. They all laid back on Maja's bed, taking their sweet time to digest what happened.
"Richi?" Andi mumbled, his curiosity interrupting the peaceful silence. The brunet hummed in response, turning his head to look at his friend even though Maja was in the way. He wasn't complaining though. "What are you even doing here?" Andreas questioned.
"I walked Maja home from work because I hoped I would see the pup." Richi explained.
"Oh yeah? And did you want to see the puppy all the other times you walked her home too?" The blond laughed. Andreas moved away as the other boy propped himself up on his elbows and tried to hit him.
"Play nicely kids!" Maja whined when Richi still tried to get Andi after many failed attempts. Without any thought, she pushed Richi back down on the mattress, mainly with her own body. Their eyes met and the room suddenly went silent.
"Gross!" Andreas cried out, covering his eyes as he attempted to run out the room, but he quickly realised that was a bad idea when he headbutted the doorframe and fell back straight onto his butt. "Help! I have concussion! I'm seeing stars!" He dramatized.
"I swear nothing can amaze me anymore with you guys. I've seen it all now." All three of them looked up as a voice spoke from the doorway. Stood there was a half amused, half appalled Stephan who was looking at Andi on the floor and Maja who rushed to get off of Richi.
"It's not what it looked like," Maja convinced, sticking out her tongue at Stephan as she walked past him and out of the room. Just a few seconds later she came back with furrowed eyebrows.
"Can someone please explain to me why Waffles was really good with me, but made a huge mess with you two?" She asked, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Stephan played with him!" Andi quickly responded, blaming the older boy.

The next few days Maja spent as usual. Whenever she didn't have work or important stuff to do, she would spend time with the group, or at least a part of it.
On one of days, the boys convinced Maja to come to one of their trainings and to bring Waffles with her since it would be outside. The girl made sure she dressed up in warmer clothes because she didn't want to risk getting a flu. The amount of layers she put on could probably save her from a gunshot, but she still looked adorable.
"Are you off to Antarctica?" Andreas laughed when he saw the way Maja was dressed, earning himself a glare from the girl and a slap on the arm.
"As far away as possible from you," she retorted.
"Even Waffles is scared of you." Markus joined in, gesturing over to the puppy who was trying to get away. Maja just huffed since she had nothing clever to respond with.
"Are you sure Schuster won't mind us being there?" Maja changed the subject.
"Not if you behave yourself," Richi teased with a smirk, making the girl chuckle and gently push him away.
"I always behave, unlike you." She stuck out her tongue.
A few minutes later, after doing some stretching, the boys began playing volleyball while waiting for their coach to arrive. There were also some other ski jumpers who Maja didn't know, but she roughly recognised them from some competition videos.
Maja glanced up from the spot on the ground she was sat on and she noticed how Andreas was gesturing for her to come over. She groaned and got up, heading over to the boy.
"What do you want?" She questioned, ignoring the amused looks on other's faces.
"We need an extra person for volleyball so the teams will be even, you're on my team." Andi stated, not giving her much of a choice.
"What? But what about Waffles?" She asked, trying to find an excuse.
"He can't exactly run away anywhere, come on." He assured. "Oh look Lena is here! Do you want to play too? You can be on the other team." The blond asked Lena who was currently strolling up to them.
"But then the teams will be uneven again you idiot!" Karl complained, almost facepalming himself.
"Lena is so terrible at volleyball, she doesn't even count as a player." Markus joked, making everyone laugh. However, the girl wasn't amused. She grabbed the ball that was laying on the ground and she threw it as hard as she could at her own boyfriend. The boy managed to move out of the way, still laughing.
"Lena! How many times do I have to tell you to stop trying to injure my boys?!" The coach's voice came from behind them.
"Sorry coach, seems like they already injured their heads." She huffed, getting into position so they could start the usual warm up game.
A volleyball game with the boys was a huge mess, to say the least. They turned out to be strangely much more competitive than in ski jumping, although it wasn't even a real game.
"Remind me to never ever play volleyball again with you guys!" Maja exclaimed, even though their team won.
"Why? We won!" Andi frowned.
"You kept yelling at me! It made me panic," the girl complained, walking back to where she left her coat which she had to take off during the game.
"Oh don't be a baby!" The blond joked teasingly, walking after Maja.
"Get away!" She whined, but began to laugh while trying to run away from him. He accepted the challenge and ran after her. His long legs worked as an advantage for him, so he quickly caught up with her. Andi swept the girl off of her feet, throwing her over his shoulder.
"How dare you?!" She gasped. "Put me down!" Maja ordered, beginning to smack his butt when he didn't listen, which resulted in him pinching hers in return.
"Andreas I will pull your pants down if you don't put my feet back on the ground right now!" She warned. An amused look was visible on her face as she wasn't able to keep a straight face anymore.
"You would love that." He responded casually with a huge grin.
"Right, that's enough! Can we start the training now?" Richi hissed, making everyone silent instantly. They all turned to look at him in surprise at the sudden outburst. Even the coach himself hadn't yet managed to yell at Andi for delaying the training.
Andi coughed awkwardly and gently put Maja back on the ground, they both made eye contact with each other and tried their best not laugh.
"Your boyfriend getting jealous just about saved you." Andi smirked, heading away from her.
She shot him a glare while shaking her head, yet she couldn't help but laugh. "He isn't my boyfriend." She spoke a little too late because no one was any longer paying attention, but at that point she was left with her own thoughts and Lena's company of course.
"Someone seemed pretty feisty back there," Lena noted, the two of them sitting down on the cold ground.
"Yeah, I'm not sure what that was about." Maja half lied while picking up a small tennis ball and throwing it for Waffles to catch. The truth was that her and Richard had a few moments, but they weren't anything serious. She didn't want to rush into anything, especially how it's only been a few weeks since she met him. The girl thought they were on the same page, so was jealousy appropriate? Was there anything to even be jealous of?
"Oh please, you and Richi are like flirting machines," Lena laughed, but when the girl noticed Maja looking at her blankly, she rolled her eyes. "He must have thought you two were getting somewhere, but it turns out you act with him the same way you do with Andi, so he got jealous." Lena summarised.
This time Maja looked at the blonde with wide eyes, beginning to shake her head. "W-what? No!" Maja stuttered out, already starting to feel bad.
"Maja I'm kidding." Lena chuckled just as Maja was about to open her mouth again.
"Don't do that to me," Maja sighed in relief, holding her hand over where her heart is located and almost letting her body fall back flat on the ground.
"I spoke to him earlier, he said he's just not having a great day," Lena explained. 'He seemed pretty fine before' Maja thought but nodded as if to say that she understands. "...But if I was to be honest, I don't think seeing you and Andi flirting made his day any better, just saying," Lena stated, looking over at the brunette.
"Andi and I don't flirt, we're just friends." Maja frowned before shrugging her shoulders helplessly.
The girls were so busy gossiping that they barely noticed when the boy were given a ten minute break.
Much to their surprise, the coach walked up to them. "Hi girls," he began, to which they both replied. "I'd hate to sound rude, but I'm going to have to ask you both to leave, my boys are getting too distracted."
The girls stared at him completely stunned. "But, we were just talking.." Maja defended, her voice slightly weak because of how confused she was.
"Oh no, you two didn't do anything wrong. The boys just decided to gossip and pay more attention to you than actually training. Obviously with the season starting so soon, I can't allow that." Schuster informed, giving them another apology, while the girls just looked at each other quite amused.
After getting kicked out of the training, the girls decided to walk Waffles to Maja's apartment, leaving him there and then meeting the boys at the café after their training.
Since the walk there and back took them some time, the girls didn't have to wait too long for the rest of the group to join them. However, Maja quickly noticed the missing presence of one of the boys.
"Guys, where's Richi?" She asked. She'd love to hide her concern, but she simply couldn't.
"Don't know what you've done to him, but he said he wants to go home," Karl clarified.
"I haven't done anything," she mumbled, rushing to her feet. The innocent remarks were beginning to irritate her. She headed towards the door in a fast pace, hoping he would still be in the car park.
"Richi, wait!" She shouted to the brunet. Luckily she caught him in the last moment when he was getting inside his car. She cursed under her breath for leaving her coat in the café when she rushed out, it was too cold.
"Are you okay?" Maja questioned, genuinely worried since she could tell that he tried to force a fake smile onto his face.
"Yeah, I'm good." He said simply as if he wasn't just about to ditch the group without a reason.
"Come on, don't make me pressure you into telling me. Everyone can see something is wrong." She spoke honestly, looking into his eyes.
"Uh, I just got out on the wrong side of the bed today," Richi mumbled, tearing his eyes away from hers. Maja narrowed her eyes at him, she felt like there must be more. "I'm worried about the next season, I'm not doing as well as I'm expected, nor as well as I expect," he huffed eventually, combing his fingers through his hair.
Suddenly Maja felt stupid for actually thinking he could have been jealous, but she quickly shook that out of her head, it wasn't important.
"Oh Richi, come here," she spoke sympathetically, extending her arms out. She wrapped her arms around him and pressed her head against his chest, letting her eyes fall shut for a second. "You're doing your best and you're doing amazing," she assured him, slowly lifting her head to look into his eyes. She swallowed thickly. The distance between their faces was minimal and she could swear she heard her own heart beating louder than anything around them.
A small smile gradually spread across his lips, making Maja smile in return. Richi leaned closer and closer. For a split second she thought he was about to kiss her, which ignited a spark in her stomach, but that quickly died down when he pressed a peck to the tip of her nose. She didn't dare to look into his eyes, after all what if he noticed how she tried to lean in too?
She coughed and took a step back. "Thank you," he spoke up. She almost asked him what for, but thankfully she remember the conversation.
"No problem, you know where I am if you need anything." She blurted, already beginning to walk back towards the entrance to the café, however she stopped when she heard her name.
"I know this isn't the best place and time," Richi began, stepping closer to her. "But I wanted to ask if you'll be my plus one at the team's Christmas dinner party, next month?" He asked, licking over his lips rather nervously.
At first the girl was quite surprised, but a sweet smile tugged on her lips.
"I'd love to," she responded.
