8, 7, 6 more days until graduation

I walk into my English class and I see Dai sitting in my seat again.

"Hi Dai how's your day going" I said walking up to my desk.

"I'm doing good Kyoko! How are you" he asked.

"I'm doing awesome Dai! Thanks for asking" I replied.

"So have you talked to Kaito" asked Dai.

"Eh?! What?! Umm...not recently" I said shyly.

"Yeah cause Kyoko is to scared" commented Hiro. Him and Dai started to laugh.

"I'm not scared" I said madly, then I put my head down and said "I'm just really shy around him".

"Does he like you" asked Dai.

"I'm not sure but he used to like me" I said with a smile.

"Wait who used to liked you" asked Hiro. Dai moved out of my seat then I put my stuff down.

"Kaito" I said siting down.

"Kaito?!" Hiro said in shock. "Really?! Why?! How do you know?"

"I don't know ask Makoto, he's the one that told me" I said.

"Bllaahhhh, that's just gahhhh that's just were and gross" said Hiro disgusted. I rolled my eyes and turned around.

"Does he still like you" asked Hiro.

"I'm not sure but I'm trying to find out" I said.

"Yeah Kyoko, not to be mean but you and Kaito...it isn't going to work out. Even you admitted yourself" said Hiro. I slouched in my chair then looked down, that was before all of this happened.

|~Timeskip to next day~|

"Hmmm let's see what would Kyoko and Kaito's ship name be" said my friend Nariko. Seriously?! She is saying all of this now when Kaito is at the table next to mine...and he sits in the seat...closest to mine.

"Hmm what about...KYOTO" said my friend Emi.

"Would you guys keep it down" I said. "I don't want Kaito hearing".

"Kyoto Kyoto Kyoto" said Emi and Nariko. I covered my face with my hands then started to shake my head. I looked over to Kaito and I saw he was slouching in his chair. Shit he heard. I stood up from my seat and walked away from my table.

"Hello Ai" I said greeting my friend Ai with a smile.

"Hi Kyoko" she said as she was signing someone's yearbook.

"Oh yeah I talked to Kaito" I said quietly.

"You did" she said forming a smile.

"Yeah...well kinda..."

~Flashback to previous day~

I was doing my last 20 minute walk/run of the year and I was walking with my friends Erika and Izumi. I then spotted Kaito jog past me.

"Hi Kaito" said Erika as he jogged past her.

"Hello Erika" he said jogging away.

"Kaito, Kyoko says hi" said Izumi. Kaito continued to jog but before he could turn around the backstop he waved at me. I looked over to Izumi and she began to squeal.

"I can't believe he listened to me, he usually ignores me because when I when we were in elementary school I would call him tinker bell all the time and he would get mad at me" said Izumi. (Heh I kinda just gave away what his real name was).

"Haha, well at lease I wasn't blushing" said in relief.

"You were blushing"

"I WAS!"

"Oh...I see" said Ai.

"Heh yeahhhh, well I am going to go back to my table now" I said then I walked back to my desk, and put my head down.

"Hey Kyoko" said Izumi.

"Yeah" I said raising my head up a bit.

"I think Kaito heard us saying your guys ship name".

"Ughhhh" I said putting my head back on the table.

"But when you were going over to Ai's table he looked back at you and I think he was blushing" said Izumi. I picked up my head and looked over to Izumi and said "Really?" She nodded her head.

"Well at lease I wasn't blushing" I said calmly.

"You were blushing" said Izumi.

"I WAS?!"

|~Timeskip to next day~|

I walked into my school with a smile on my face, I was finally not a metal mouth anymore. Yup, you guessed it, I got my braces off. I walked into the lunch court and I saw that all the tables were dismissed, I walked up and I saw Kaito walk in from the other gate.

It was raining hard. I was wearing a sweatshirt that was hoodless so my hair and binder was getting really wet. I looked up and I saw that Kaito was not to far away, then I looked up and let raindrops hit my face.

|~Timeskip to an hour later~|

"Those of you who have a buddy you are dismissed" said my math teacher Mr. Hashimoto. I picked up my things and went outside to look for my buddy. Today at my school it was buddy day and that is where a eighth grader gets paired up with a fifth grader and they spend second, third, fourth periods, and lunch with us, just so they can get the gist of what middle school is like cause you know they are going to sixth grade.

I went outside and I held up my sign that said "Homura Sata". It took me awhile but I eventually found Homura, I introduced myself and some of my friends and we went on with our day.

|~Timeskip to 4th period~|

Me and Homura walked into my fourth period class and this time instead of Dai sitting in my seat Hiro is.

"Hirooo out of my seat please" I said walking up to him.

"Nah I'm good" he said opening his binder.

"Pleaseeee Hiro" I begged, then I gave him a smile.

He looked up to me then quickly looked away. "Guhhhh fine" he said standing up and moving his stuff.

"Thank you Hiro! You can go ahead and sit in my seat Homura" I said pulling out my seat a bit more. "Oh okay thank you" she said. I put my stuff in the back of my desk right next to Hiro's then I stood up behind Homura.

"...You look nice without your braces Kyoko" said Hiro looking up to me.

"Wha?" I said looking over to him.

Hiro quickly turned away then said "I like you better without your braces".

"Ohhh...thank you?" For the rest of the period I was talking to Hiro and his partner, Nariko and her partner, and of course my partner Homura. Hiro was the center of attention, he was making everyone laugh and it seemed like he was enjoying himself. Once fourth period ended we all went to lunch and Homura sat with me and some of her other friends. When it was time for our break Homura had to return to her class and I was a bit sad about that but I had my friend Timiko (ugh her).

|~Timeskip to 6th period~|

I have Kaito locked on the corner of my eye as I'm watching Kazuo trying to get people away from our "base". I love playing capture the frisbee. I kept looking at everyone who was trying to take our frisbee and I could tell the directions they were planning on running, I looked up to Kaito and I saw that he was looking at me. We both looked away but then we looked up a each other. I noticed someone from the other team was coming to my base, it was my friend Anna.

I walked up to her and she was prepared to run, she was trying to go different ways to get around me but it eventually got to that point where I was chasing her and she was running towards her base. I put my hands of her shoulders and say "Your out Anna".

"Ugh dammit" she says then she walks over to "jail". I turn around I see that Kaito and some of his teammates are trying to get our frisbee, Kazuo then tags two people from the other team including Kaito. Kaito slowly begins to walk to jail...again.

"Ayy Kyoko come here I have something to tell you" says my friend Eli. I look around to make sure no one was coming then I walk over to Eli. "When you were over there chasing Anna I saw Kaito glance over to you. It was like this, he looked up at you, he took one nice long look at you then before you turned around he brought his eyes down".

"Really" I said forming a smile. Eli smiled back and nodded.

Once Kaito was released from jail he came back over to where we were keeping the frisbee but this time he looked more determined. What should I do? I want to do or say something but...I'm really shy around him. I have had different crushes and my feels for them have all been different but kinda the same in different ways but, my crush on Kaito...this is 100% different than all of my crushes.

I looked up to Kaito and it looked like he was about to try to get the frisbee, I prepared myself because of he gets it I'm the only fast one on my team that can try to tag him out. Kaito was about to go in but...someone came and tagged him from the back. I put my head down and my facial expression went from determined to sad, I looked over to Kaito and I saw that his head was also down like mine but then I saw him move his hand up towards his face. From my view it looked like he was wiping a tear from his face. Was he really crying?

I feel so sad. Why? Well cause of Kaito, I really want to talk to him but every time I try something always pops up or I just shy out. At lease I'm not the only one feeling this, its the same with Kaito. I can see it in his face...
