Nishikata was walking to class with takagi, as soon as they entered they noticed that the crowd was looking at someone, Mogami who had cut off the long hair 

Nishikata : dude you look sick 

Takagi : I have to agree you look pretty good

Mogami : now I can't even tell what they're thinking about me now… 

Sumire : look you don't need to pay attention to them 

Random girl : um excuse me….

Mogami : yeah? 

Random girl : Pardon me if I'm wrong but are the rumors about you…. Um…. 

Mogami : …. 

Nishikata : the rumors are all made up…

Random girl : oh.. Then sorry for treating you like that yesterday… 

Mogami : ( she's apologising? Looks really change things huh?) it's alright I forgive you… 

Random girl : that easily? ( I was expecting to grilled by him) 

Mogami : I'll forgive everyone as long as they apologise… 

Sumire  : ( God he's an angel at his core… its so sad he's treated like this) 

Random girl : thanks… ( she disappeared back into her friends) 

Nishikata : looks like things are going better…. But I have to be honest i wouldn't forgive those asses so easily if I were you… 

Mogami : well good things don't last long for me so I don't wanna ruin my chances by not forgiving those people… 

Sumire : you should value yourself more 

Mogami : ( he just gave an awkward chuckle) 

At that moment amano entered the classroom and all the girls were fawning over him and some boys scoffed at him 

Amano : Mogami and takagi please step out I need to talk to you both 

Mogami : sure… 

Takagi : ( she hadn't interacted with amano since the  confession and she didn't wanna deal with the awkwardness, she looked over at nishikata) 

Nishikata : ( he noticed her unease and said) hey amano I need to discuss something too 

Amano : sure just let me talk to them first

They all stepped out  

Amano : Mogami since you didn't attend the science class for over a year you've got too many projects piled up… 

Mogami : (he just groaned) 

Amano : look I would let you go but since e the principal has changed some of the policies this is out of my hands… I'll need the signature of a another member of the student council to wave off your assignments but considering your umm… Reputation…. I don't think anyone will sign.. 

Mogami : ( he juay let out a small sigh) I understand…. 

Amano : look I know the rumors are false but there's nothing we can really do about it… 

Nishikata : does my sign work? 

Amano : well yeah it will ( I almost forgot about him) 

Nishikata : ( he gave Mogami a reassuring look) consider it waved 

Mogami : thanks… ( this is literally the nicest anyone has ever been to him other than his parents ) 

Amano : just drop by after recess to sign the papers in the student council room 

Nishikata : I'll be there… 

Amano : also yeah takagi 

Takagi : yeah? 

Amano : you know how we're science lab partners since we like sit next to each other…. 

Takagi : yeah… 

Amano : the school festival is coming up and I'll be very busy with student council work so the science project… You may have to do it all by yourself sorry.. 

Takagi : what science project? 

Amano : ( he handed her a file) this file contains all the info you need, I'm giving it to you early so that you can prepare since I won't be able to help… Again sorry

Takagi : its fine… 

Amano : you two can go now, now what did you want to discuss with me nishikata?

They both had their discussion about management of the school festival and after that it was recess 

Nishikata : ( he left to sign the papers from the student council room along with takagi) 

Mogami : (he was just eating his lunch when a bunch of guys came around him) 

Guy 1 : ( he poured a carton of milk over his head) how do you like that you freak 

Sumire : hey!! What the heck!! 

Mogami : ( he didn't even pay attention and continued to eat his lunch like it was mint a big deal) ( I've dealt with worse, these guys are amateurs) 

Guy 2 : oh a pretty girl? This guy doesn't deserve you come on lets hang out 

Sumire : no thank you (over my dead body) you guys think you're hot stuff? Well let me tell you this I've seen ice cubes hotter than you ( she tried to get between Mogami and the bullies) 

Mogami : ( she didn't even give them a reaction as he shouted obscenities in his face) ( he had seen a lot worse on his work as detective…) 

After 10 minutes of them trying to get a reaction from him a small crowd had gathered as they thought they'd see a fight

Mogami : ( he finished his food and washing his face in the cafeteria fountain) are you guys done with your circus show you clowns. 

Guy 1 : ok screw it man ( he punched Mogami) 

Mogami : ( he fell to the ground gasping for some air) ( he was physically strong but the blindness didn't help in dodging punches either) 

Sumire : suck it you psychopath ( she kicked one of the guys and he fell back) 

Guy 3 : (he scoffed) this freak can't even defend himself 

Mogami : ( he stood up and pressed the metal end of his blind cane on the guy's foot and pressed it down) that's it I'm f done with your shit

Guy 3 : ( wincing in pain) what's that freak?! 

Mogami : I said, I'm done ( his face was flush with anger, his empty eyes looked as if they could rip someone's soul to shreds juay by glancing at them 

Nishikata : WHAT'S ALL THE COMMOTION

Amano : WHYS EVERYONE GATHERED AROUND THE CAFETERIA?!! 

The students were scared, Totomi High was a really prestigious school and graduating from here basically set you up for life, these two were from a the student council and the student council members had the authority to request suspensions and even expulsions of students 

Nishikata : ( he was about to step in but amano stepped in) 

Amano : let me handle this… ( senior doesn't know how to handle these shits) 

Nishikata : ( he goes over to Mogami and gets him away from them) how are your injuries? 

Takagi : just stay still ( she examined his injuries) 

Mogami : not much ( he couldn't really feel anything since he was high on adrenaline) 

Amano : senior should really deal with these guys in better ways… Just too soft on these pathetic monkeys 

Guy 1 : I know you're the student rep and all but watch you're tongue you bastard ( he lifted his hand to punch him)

Amano : ( he grabbed the guy's wrist and pressed hard) you know I'm a baseball pitcher… I have a pretty good grip strength 

Guy 1 : ( he squealed in pain while the others were scared) 

Amano : so you're all talk I'm not even done yet ( he pressed harder and harder the guy's hand became blue) 

Guy 1 : (he couldn't even speak as he struggled to get away from amano his friends just watching in horror) 

Nishikata : hey amano that should be enough, pretty sure his wrist is broken… 

Guy 1 :( he just rolled around in pain while the others stood silently) 

Takagi : ( she shouted and everyone stating at them) don't you guys have literally anything other to do like, I don't know, eat?! 

Everyone shuffled back into eating food in the cafeteria 

Mogami : thanks for that…. ( he was again on the ground) 

Sumire : ( she pulled him up with her hand) I tried to step in but I wasn't able to do much sorry 

Mogami : it's fine… I'm used to this anyway… 

Sumire : ( that glare he had a few seconds ago it was… Unsettling….) 

Amano : you almost started to fight back, well since you have that metal cane you can seriously injure someone Mogami, plus it would be a er…. Hard hit on your reputation 

Mogami : I didn't really care at that point 

Amano : just be careful from now onwards…( I better request 3 expulsions) ( he walked away) 

Nishikata : why is this school so terrible?! 

Mogami : well if you cherry pick only the bad parts of the school it will look like a prison… im just experiencing all bad ones at the same fucking time… 

Nishikata : ( he whispered to takagi) I need to get his mind off this any ideas? 

Takagi : let's go to a restaurant after school to cheer him up

Nishikata : good plan 

Nishikata and everyone else was at the restaurant after school

Nishikata : so what's everyone ordering? 

Takagi : I'll just take normal ramen.. 

Sumire : spicy for me

Mogami : extra spicy for me 

Nishikata : 1 normal, 2 spicy and 1 extra spicy ramen please

After their food was here 

Mogami : thanks for the help today… you too takagawa… 

Sumire : don't thank me… I Couldn't even do anything 

Takagi : you tried.. That's better than literally everyone else at school, they were just watching it as if it was a god damn show, ( they all piss me off) 

Nishikata : don't mention it and also I signed the page with amano and your assignments are waved

Takagi : but that's only the assignments up till now you still have to do the ones which will come later… 

Mogami : I still have to thank amano… I Guess I'll do it tomorrow.. 

Takagi : speaking of… I think I'll stay at yuki's place again… 

Sumire : ( at this point she's just finding excuses to stay at his house) why this time ( teasingly) 

Takagi : because of amano and you 

Sumire : me? 

Takagi : well amano and nishikata will have to manage the school festival soon and he's my lab partner so I'll have to do double work ( she said while breathing a heavy sigh) 

Sumire : I see, God this school gives out so much homework… 

Mogami : well homework isn't the problem really… It's the projects for me… 

Sumire : your homework is complete?

Mogami : you know a few days ago when you all brought me some papers? Yeah that was the homework… Every week someone brought the homework so that I could stay at home… 

Sumire : ( I brought them many times but I never really paid attention to what was on the papers) wait so your homework is done?

Mogami : mostly… since I wanted to deal with as little students as possible when I shut myself in, I did the homework at full speed so that I only had to suffer human interaction once a week (And I still dreaded that..) but it helped that I couldnt see their faces…. 

Nishikata : wait you can't see faces? 

Takagi : so you don't know how anyone looks? 

Mogami : I don't even know how you all look, I just recognise by voice and footsteps… 

Nishikata : since your vision is bad your body has adapted to better gearing huh? 

Mogami : believe me I'd trade this super hearing for normal hearing and normal vision any day… 

Takagi : doesn't it feel weird as if you're just friends with voices? 

Mogami : I mean… I Can see faces if I want to but… 

Sumire : but? 

Mogami : I'll use takagawa as a test since she's sitting beside me subject look here 

Sumire : yeah? 

Mogami then proceeded to get very close to her face merely inches away 

Mogami : this is approximately how close I need to get to see faces… Naturally this tends to make people uncomfortable so I avoid it… 

Sumire : ( trying to avoid eye contact with him as he was too close) oh.. 

Mogami : ( he backed away to his spot)

Sumire : excuse me ( she went to the washroom to wash her face) 

While in the washroom

Sumire : ( why do I feel so… Weird…..) ( she looked up and saw that she was blushing…) ( oh god… no… It was just because he got so close…. Rie did say… But no.. It was nothing) ( she pushed that possibility out of her head slapped her face and went back to the table) 

Mogami : I don't even know if her face is beautiful, pretty, average or ugly… 

Takagi : what's that supposed to mean 

Mogami : I wasn't always blind you know…

Nishikata : really? 

Mogami : it was a long time ago.. The Oscar shales case…

Nishikata : I've heard that name before… 

Takagi : ( she googled) Oscar shales was a British convict who escaped to Japan to run away from his conviction. The MI6 made a collaborative effort with The Japanese NPA to catch the serial killer.. 

Nishikata : since the NPA was included I assume your father was too… 

Mogami : well yes and I was the detective trying to predict his movements and all that 

Sumire : oh? 

Mogami : Oscar was smart to say the least we were on a cat and mouse chase for over three months… I Was having fun.. I waited for his next move so I could counter it… It Would have almost been a fun game if the body count of the people he killed didn't increase everytime he made a move… That's when I realised I was having fun with a serial killer, I was maybe a sociopath… 

Sumire : ( and that's why he tries to stay away from fun… He has a reason for everything huh) that's was unexpectedly morbid… 

Mogami : stop interrupting and annoying me… oscar acquired a chemical gas… one which could severely damage eyes… 

Nishikata : no need to say anything more… we know what happened next… 

Mogami : there isn't a cure for my eyes yet but dad told me it's a work in progress… So I might be able to see again.. 

Takagi : that's wonderful, good for you 

Mogami : anyway because of all that I lost my eyes before I could even comprehend and kind of attraction… And so I don't have any idea what's beautiful and what's ugly 

Sumire : so that's why when you saw yourself in the mirror you just assumed you were ugly 

Mogami : if I asked someone they'd say I was handsome just to please me so I just assumed the worst… 

Nishikata : I see 

They all finished it their food and were outside the restaurant 

Sumire : ( take a deep breath.. You are only asking for help with homework since he is done with his) hey Mogami… can you help with some math… 

Mogami : sure… When? 

Sumire : well I have to days to do it so today maybe tomorrow 

Mogami : ok…. where? 

Sumire : well started the don't bring boys rule in the apartment ( even though houjou decided to ignore it yesterday ) so maybe outside somewhere? 

Mogami : I'm not staying outside for more than an hour ( I'm already forced to spend so much of my time outside because of school) so my house? 

Sumire : fine let's just go there. 

Takagi : I'll see you guys tomorrow then 

Nishikata : yeah bye… 

They walked back home 

Takagi : before we get home I need to get some stuff from the store so can you wait? 

Nishikata : I'll help you carry it if it's too much 

Takagi : you're so sweet ( they entered the store and she began choosing the things she needed for the project) 

Nishikata : ( carrying everything) the project is this big? 

Takagi : it's 50% of our grade of course its tough.. You get to skip all of it because you missed first year 

Nishikata : have you decided where you're gonna do all this? 

Takagi : well when we finished arranging and setting up the kitchen I noticed you have quite a lot of office space 

Nishikata : well since I have to still work on the business… 

Takagi : so I thought I would use it 

Nishikata : I need to use it too so I guess we can share 

Takagi : thanks 

They went back home with all the stuff 

Nishikata : ( he handed her a cup of coffee) we just came back from school this should help with the tiredness 

Takagi : thanks honey you're the best 

Nishikata : honey? 

Takagi : I love you so much… ( she kissed him on the cheek) 

Nishikata : I love you too.. 

Takagi : when this is all complete let's watch a movie ok 

Nishikata : a movie? 

Takagi : why not? 

Nishikata : fine with me… ( he pulled out his laptop) you can use that other desk ok? ( I need to check files for the Tokyo office… I'm gonna be Incharge of the Tokyo office soon I need to prepare) 

Takagi : yeah 

After 3 hours 

Nishikata : ( he just order some pizza and popcorn) the food is here (a proper movie night… Havent had that in a while…) 

Takagi : (she layed down the the sofa in a simple black t shirt and shorts) let's start 

Nishikata : how? you're taking up all the space takagi 

Takagi : I'm not taking all the space, we are 

Nishikata : wha-

Nishikata couldn't even finish his sentence as takagi pulled him down and before he knew it he was sleeping on the sofa with her 

Takagi : this is how 

Nishikata : there's not enough space for both of us 

Takagi : there is if we stick close ( she said as she pressed herself close to him) 

Nishikata : we talked about this didn't we.. We need to wait till we're 18…

Takagi : I know and I'm not doing anything ( he just said he wants to wait, but that means I can seduce him all I want just not too far, if he wants to have fun it'll be his decision not mine) 

Nishikata : your such a little devil 

Takagi : I'm your little devil 

Nishikata : yes you are… 

Nishikata switched on the movie 

Takagi : ( she got fully comfortable and watched the movie while eating popcorn and feeding him too) 

Nishikata : ( he was blushing like crazy at first but it had subsided a bit now he was also a bit comfortable) 

Takagi : ( she kissed him out of no where) 

Nishikata : that was random.. 

Takagi : I just did it cause I wanted too 

Nishikata : ( two can play this game takagi) ( he placed his arm through her shirt and onto her stomach) ( I just need to stay far enough from those areas and I should be fine) 

Takagi : ( her mind went crazy she never expected him to make moves faster than her) wanna break your rule already? ( she said trying to calm down) 

Nishikata : you did the same thing a few days ago, remember? Consider this my revenge 

Takagi : ( can't really argue against that…)

Nishikata and takagi were both too nervous to go any further and before they knew it both were asleep on the couch
