Nishikata and takagi were in front of Mogami's house….

Nishikata : I wonder why takagawa called us here.. 

Takagi : I don't have any idea 

Nishikata pushed open the door and entered inside, 

The library like, always was dark…the small sectioned off  dining table  and only some parts of the library were lit up....

Sumire : ( she signalled them to come to where she was standing) 

Nishikata : what happened? 

Sumire : Mogami told me to call you because she is here… 

Nishikata : who? 

Sumire : Izumi… 

Nishikata : but why has he called me ( I wanna stay as far away from Izumi as possible) 

Mogami : Nishikata come in. Everyone else can too… 

Nishikata opened the sliding door to the sectioned off dining room

Mogami : ( quietly sipping on tea…) hey there… 

Izumi : ( she just smiled at nishikata) 

The room was tense and the only one seemingly not affected by anything was Mogami. 

Mogami : I'll just let the lady talk for now… 

Nishikata : ( a bit angry) what's the meaning of this Mogami?! And you what the heck are you planning?! 

Izumi : I apologise. 

Nishikata : ( taken aback) what 

Izumi : ( she quietly sipped on her tea) I apologize for all the trouble I have caused you and takagi 

Takagi : you think just apologising is enough?! 

Izumi : no I don't think that at all… I didn't apologise because I thought I'd be forgiven, but I won't bother you from now on… 

Nishikata : what's this even about? ( he didn't understand so he stared at Sumire and Mogami demanding an explanation) 

Mogami : watch this… ( he showed them a screen) wait… uh… nishikata close Takagi's eyes 

Takagi : huh? Why? 

Mogami : just do it… Also takagawa you might wanna close your eyes too.. 

Nishikata : ok ( he covered her eyes with his hands) 

Sumire : What is the video even about? ( Mogami whispered and told her and she went silent) I'll close my eyes as well…. 

Takagi : what the heck?! What are you watching?

Mogami : we're watching hardcore pornography of course so I thought you girls might wanna close your eyes 

Izumi : (she chuckled) 

Nishikata : oh? 

Takagi : WHAT?! 

Sumire : he's joking…. ( for someone so childish he makes a lot of adult jokes…)

They video finished after some rough makeout session and her almost removing his shirt

Mogami : this has caused quite a problem you see… 

Izumi : my father… Is a respected politician and the governor of Japan… 

Mogami : people say its highly likely he'll become the prime minister in the next election… 

Izumi : someone filmed it… and is using it to threaten my dad… so I came to Mogami for help with this case

Mogami : and I refused… 

Sumire : ( and that's when she kissed him…) 

Mogami : I wasn't about to help her after I knew what she had done to you two… 

Izumi : I went through the other methods my dad directly contacted his father whose the director of the NPA and made an official request to Mogami… 

Mogami : because of politics and stuff I have to accept this time… So I called you here to tell you that and…. ( he pulled them aside and whispered) Togami Corporation is quite a big name, if this gets out then shit hits the fan, you'll suffer quite a lot as well…. 

Nishikata : thanks for letting me know…. 

Mogami : ( back to talking normally) but I wasn't going to do it for free

Izumi : … 

Mogami : I've made her give up and stay away from Nishikata and takagi ( he said proudly) that's a condition she has to fulfill or I won't take the case 

Nishikata : man… You solved the problem… My Guy… 

Mogami : well I didn't really know what to do for your birthday, everyone is giving you something and I felt weird, so just consider this as my gift… 

Nishikata : best gift ever… 

Izumi : ( he hasn't forbidden me from getting to him so I've only really lost one toy) now you need to keep your end of the bargain… 

Mogami : yeah… Yeah… 

She walked out of the room but before she did that she gave Mogami a small peck on the cheek and then walked out 

Sumire : ( she could only gasp as she realised what had just happened) ( he should have also got her off him…) 

Nishikata : god I'm so glad you got her off me… 

Takagi : I'm glad that issue took care of itself ( she glanced at Sumire who looked incredibly angry) ( or was it…) 

Mogami : now onto the serious part, 2 questions, are you being black mailed too? 

Nishikata : nope ( so that's why she was acting so weird) 

Mogami : ( he took a deep breath) now this may seem offensive but are you the one blackmailing her Nishikata, answer truthfully 

Nishikata : so I'm a suspect huh? 

Mogami : ( he shrugged) so did you? ( just because the video wasn't taken by him doesn't cross him out as a suspect) 

Nishikata : no I didn't blackmail her 

Mogami : I'll take your word for that for now…. 

Nishikata : did the blackmailer make any demands? What is he blackmailing for? 

Mogami : he hasn't made any demands yet, he's just letting them know he or she exists, it's to cause paranoia 

Mogami : well I guess that's gonna be my next high profile case… I just wanna let you know I may call you again for this… 

Nishikata : I see….

Mogami : I know you may think it is bad that I suspect you a bit, but please understand… I need to get to the truth.. 

Nishikata : I understand Mogami… 

Takagi and nishikata walked out of the library to get some fresh air in the huge  lawn around Mogami's manor after that they were back at their house  

Takagi : calm down yuki… 

Nishikata : I'm calm… 

Takagi : no you're not stop acting… ( she hugged him tightly) 

Nishikata : ( he let some steam off) it's really impossible to hide something from you huh? 

Takagi : you should share your problems with me yuki… 

Nishikata : but… I don't like getting others involved in stuff… 

Takagi : I'm your girlfriend yuki… If you're sad or tensed I'll help in any way I can … my first priority is always you… 

Nishikata : Takagi…. 

Takagi : now just calm down ok… 

Nishikata : ( he let his body loose and relaxed) Thanks… 

Takagi : ( maybe we should eat outside today, I'll get him something he loves) 

Nishikata : ( he was still looking straight into her eyes but then he suddenly looked away and moved his hand) 

Takagi : ( she suddenly felt something on her butt and squeaked) 

… 

Nishikata : ( he tried not to look at his partner… and slowly pulled his arm back) progress my foot … 

Takagi : ( she took a second to calm down and kissed him) progress no matter how small is still progress, it's ok yuki you go at your own pace ( I have already pressured him a bit with the deadline… I don't wanna pressure him any more) ( she kissed him deeply) 

Nishikata : ( she pushed him onto the sofa and kissed him more roughly…) 

Back to Mogami and sumire 

Mogami : ( he sighed heavily) why do I have to do this case… 

Sumire : you shouldn't have straight up told Nishikata that he was a suspect of course you'd be tensed after doing all that 

Mogami : I just do what I feel right… 

Sumire : say Mogami, do you really enjoy your job as a detective? ( he is always complaining about cases) 

Mogami : even though I complain about the cases I still enjoy detective work… or at least I used to before the Oscar shales cases… ( he Sat on a chair) 

Sumire : I mean it's hard to tell when you are having fun since your face is always rock hard and stone cold.. 

Mogami : let me ask you something 

Sumire : sure 

Mogami : A killed B, should A be punished for this crime? 

Sumire : yes he should be 

Mogami : But B killed C, so A has killed a murderer, should A still be punished? 

Sumire : yes… 

Mogami : B used to abuse C and drove C to commit suicide, A was C's brother and killed B in a fit of rage… Should A still be punished? 

Sumire : …… I Don't know about this one… 

Mogami : at it's very core justice is subjective, it changes for every person, and while justice keeps changing the, truth stays constant, a detective's job is to find the truth nothing more nothing less… That's one of the reasons I love detective work… 

Sumire : oh? You don't do anything without a reason huh? 

Mogami : I just think a lot before acting……and About my stone cold face… 

Sumire : yeah?

Mogami : I can show emotions if I want to ( he gave her a warm smile) 

Sumire : ( her heart skipped a beat and she immediately started blushing) 

Mogami : see? ( then he was back to his stone cold face and dead eyes) ( he suddenly got a phone call and started talking) 

Sumire : ( she clenched her beating heart) ( I thought If I'd spend time with him my feelings would be clear but I'm just getting more confused) 

After a few minutes 

Mogami : (still on the phone) wha- ARE YOU SERIOUS?! 

Sumire : - what-

Mogami : YES YES YES YES YES ( he started jumping around in pure joy) 

Sumire :  what happened? ( she was accidentally pushed by Mogami and she crashed into a book case) 

The old books from the top of the shelf fell and hit her 

Mogami : ( he could barely contain his excitement) sorry for that heh.. 

Sumire : it's fine-EEK!! ( he saw that her head was covered in spiders and spider webs) GET THEM OFF ME!! 

Mogami : stay still…

Sumire : … 

Mogami : I never thought you'd be afraid of spiders 

Sumire :I'm not afraid of them I'm just grossed out by them 

Mogami : I see ( he brushed the spiders off her hair and then moved close to see the webs better) 

Sumire : ( she was blushing but it wasnt visible in the evening light) ( how did we even end up in a situation like this) what was with that excitement earlier?

Mogami : it was a call from my dad… Remember how since my blindness is cause by a chemical it can be cured…. ( he was still shaking and tears formed on his face) I'll be able to see again….. 

Sumire : ( she pulled out her napkin from her purse and wiped his tears) that's wonderful news Mogami.. 

For a while they were just stuck in that position 

Mogami : your eyes… ( he said while looking at her) 

Sumire : What about my eyes? 

Mogami : they change colour… 

Sumire : huh?

A/N : when the human Iris dilates the colour of the eyes becomes lighter, it is generally more noticeable with people with light brown or blue eyes 

Mogami : it seems like they become slightly orange when you're excited or scared… they look like gemstones

Sumire : ( chuckled while blushing) I appreciate the compliment 

Mogami : I think I should give you some after calling you an annoying bitch everyday just to even it out, you know what I mean? 

Sumire : yeah ( she had butterflies in her stomach) 

Mogami : that should be it sorry for pushing you earlier I'm just so happy.. 

Sumire : honestly good for you
