(Y/n)'s P.O.V

I stir around a bit, relishing the warmth of my own bed. Even though my eyes were closed, I could tell it was day by the way the light hit my lidded eyes.

'Ah~ Morning already?' I slowly get into a sitting position before rubbing some the sleep out of my eyes.

"That dream was absolutely beautiful~" I lightly gush. My eyes still closed, I flip my legs over the bedside. "Somehow ending up in the world of Shinobi, then managing to get an approval on living there. Not to mention meeting Kakashi, then training with Gai till I drop. Oh~ It's been awhile since I had a dream like that~" I began to stretch before leaning forward, heaving a sigh. "Oh well, dreams over I guess." I try to stand up but I'm instantly seated due to my legs feeling overly sore. "What the?" As the force of being suddenly pulled back onto my bed made my eyes open wide, I looked back at my legs. For some reason, they were covered in dirt and bruises. 'Odd.'

That's when realization hit me. 'Wait! This isn't my bed.' Eyes wide, I stare down at the dark blue couch I had somehow been resting on. Glancing wildly around the room, I could see that this wasn't even my house. That's when my eyes landed upon the window.

'Not my neighborhood.'

I quickly got on my knees and started searching in a blind panic. 'Where is it? Where is it!? Ah-ha! Here!' I grabbed my phone from my jacket pocket and open up the contacts. Upon seeing it, I called my older brother's number.

First ring, straight to voicemail. '

'Ok, ok!'

Shaking that off, I went to my father's number, then my mother's; all of which went straight to voicemail.

'What in hell! Is my phone off or something?!'

At the sheer thought, I was brought to my last and final option; 911. Their number works even when your phone doesn't, right? 'Only one way to find out.' Quickly, I switched over to 'phone' and dialled the number.

It rang once, it rang twice. My eyes began to glimmer with hope: that was until it went straight to voicemail on the third ring. One part of me wanted to gaze in confusion that they even had a voicemail, the other part wanting to cry.

'I've been kidnapped and I don't even have so much as the ability to alert someone about it? Of all times-' My thought ended abruptly at the sound of footsteps steadily approaching. My instincts kicked into hyperdrive as my numb legs began to move on their own, allowing me to silently hide behind the first thing I could find. Sadly enough, the room of which I was in did not have things like that, so I had to settle for the couch.

The footsteps drew closer to my hiding spot, making my heart pound erratically in my chest.

'Guess she's awake...' A voice whispers boredly. The voice sounded like that of a child. Of what gender; I do not know as of yet.

The footsteps stop and I pulled in closer to the back of the couch.

"What are you doing back there?" The voice deadpans, making me jump.

"Gaah!"

"Iiite!! What was that for!?"

Instead of answering I fell to my side and crawled away backwards.

"What's all this commotion?!" A new voice joined, new footsteps following along. Soon enough, a head of full hair popped out of the corner, followed by a body. "Oh. So you're awake?"

"Wh-where am I?" I stutter out hesitantly.

They don't reply, but stare at me in confusion.

"Nani?"

'Oh.' The fact had finally registered into my mind that they were speaking Japanese this entire time. My mind must've automatically switched to understand it before I realized...

Now that I think of it... I immediately observed my surroundings. Looking up to the person in front of me, I see a boy with silver gravity defying hair clutching his nose. 'Kakashi?', I thought. I moved up slowly into a sitting position so that my legs were bent to one side of my body and my back against what I now know as a wall. Looking up at Kakashi, who was about to speak, when another figure entered your sight of view. This one was a lot taller and most likely older. He had long silver hair that pulled into a somewhat messy, low ponytail. Basically an older Kakashi with long hair and no mask. 'So...Am I still dreaming or what?' I thought to myself.

"Ow.." I quietly moan. 'Not a dream.' I conclude while rubbing the spot that I had pinched myself.

Turning my head to Sakumo (Kakashi's father) I asked, "Not to be rude or anything, but where am I?"

The long, silver haired man chuckled a bit as he explained what happened last night.

✨💫⏰ FLASHBACK ⏰💫✨

~ brought to you by Haruka Kotoura

(Kakashi's P.O.V.)

Me and father was just walking home after eating out at a restaurant.

"Wow it's pretty late, I didn't think that we would be in there for that long. Good thing it's not a school night, right Kakashi?" Father said with a smile.

"Yeah..."

"Speaking of that, how was your first day back in school?"

"Same as it was when I left. I don't understand why that old man sent me back there; I was doing just fine with my missions." I glare at the empty space in front of me as my father began to speak.

"Lord Hokage knows what he's doing. I'm sure he has his own reasons for doing this-"

"Yeah yeah yeah. You've been saying that since we got the knews." I pout. As I looked off to the side, I saw something up ahead. Or rather someone.

As I looked at it for a short amount of time, I concluded that it was just a kid, probably around my age. I wasn't sure why anyone would be up at this time of night by themselves but didn't bother investigating, for it was none of my concern. At least until I heard a soft thud and the said person on the ground. I looked up to my father to see if he also saw or heard what happened. His eyes were already searching the darkness for what had created the sound. Finally his eyes laid upon a child size figure lying flat on the floor. (H/l) (h/c) hair spread about, shading the figure's face.

Father started to cautiously approached the figure and I followed close behind, watching for anything suspicious. We finally were just in front of the fallen figure. Now being this close I was able to see that it was a girl. My father knelt down to take the girl's pulse.

"What happened," I asked with slight worry laced into my calm and uncaring voice.

"She's alive, just collapsed from extreme exhaustion." He confirmed.

"What should we do, we can't just leave her here." I said, my voice returning to it's relaxed manner.

"We'll just have to take her with us, seeing that we don't know where she lives and she is in no condition to walk home herself." He stated.

My eyes widened a bit at the thought of some strange person, let alone some girl we just found on the streets, sleeping at my house.

"Why not leave her at the hospital?"

"There is nothing seriously wrong with her. They wouldn't take her."

"..."

"Don't worry, I doubt this girl would try anything. We'll just let her rest on the couch till she wakes up."

Quickly regaining my composure I muttered a quick "Fine..."

My father picked the girl bridal style and continued walking home as I followed close behind.

✨💫⏰FLASH BACK END⏰💫✨

(Back to your P.O.V.)

'So I really just smacked Kakashi on the head, eh? There goes first impressions.' I thought to myself. Quickly, I got up and bowed. Thanking them for allowing me to stay at their house. "I hope I wasn't a burden to you guys." I said as I bowed once more.

"No, not at all." Sakumo said and glanced at Kakashi who was just sitting there with a blank and unreadable expression as he stared out at me.

Suddenly Kakashi then spoke up. "You're the new girl at my school, correct? What did you say your name was again?"

I responded almost instantly. "Yes, you are correct. As for my name, it is (Y/n). Just (Y/n). And if I remember correctly, you are the boy I sat next to In class, right?"

"Yeah." Kakashi replied.

I extended my hand with a warm smile and started to play clueless, yet normal at the same time. "Nice to meet you, umm...." I cut myself off to make it look like I don't know them.

"Kakashi, Hatake Kakashi." Kakashi said.

"And I'm Hatake Sakumo, his father." Sakumo introduced.

Sakumo shook my hand as they did so. Kakashi, on the other hand, just blankly stared at me.

"What were you doing out so late at night just napping in the middle of the streets?" Kakashi asked nonchalantly.

"Well... seeing that I just... kind of moved here and enrolled in the academy, I thought... that it would be best to train. Before I knew what was going on... I ended up training... with some kid named Gai-"

"That explains everything." Both Sakumo and Kakashi cut me off.

The conversation continued on like this for quite some time.

"Well... I'm gonna go train now. Thank you for everything, I owe you guys." I said as I stood up readying to leave.

"Kakashi can go with you if you don't mind that is?" Sakumo spoke up.

"I-It's alright with me, as long as he's okay with it." I stuttered. Seeing that I haven't had to speak Japanese in a while, the pronunciations of words has my tongue in a twist. I can only hope that I can adjust to this language soon.

Kakashi glared at his father for the suggestion, but backed down when the said man gave him a pointed stare. "Whatever.." He mumbles and gets up to follow you.

(Second person's P.O.V.)

Now you were both standing and walking towards the door. You waved good bye to Sakumo as you and Kakashi left the house.

You were now walking to the training area in a somewhat uncomfortable silence. That was until familiar bushy eyebrows came running into view.

"KAKASHI! I, MAITO GAI, CHALLENGE YOU!" Gai exclaimed while pointing a finger at Kakashi.

"What now Gai? Can't you see i'm busy?" Kakashi said a bit annoyed as he glanced at you, then back at Gai.

Gai looked at him, somewhat confused for a second, but then noticed you standing there.

"Oh hey... What's your name again?" He said in his usual loud voice.

You sweat dropped slightly, feeling the slightest bit offended. 'Forgotten again?' Nonetheless, I put on a smile and went along with it. "(Y/n). My name's (Y/n)."

"Right, right. I didn't even see you there. What are you doing out here?" He asked, making light conversation with you.

Before you could even respond Kakashi butted in, rather annoyed at the fact that he was being ignored.

"Actually Gai," he said as he put his hand between you and Gai," We were just on our way to train."

"I see..." Gai said as he looked at Kakashi then turned back to you. "You wouldn't mind if I borrowed Kakashi for a while would you?" He asked.

"No..?" You said, more like a question than an answer.

And just like that Gai grabbed Kakashi and ran off before you can change your mind. Before they left, you could've sworn you saw Kakashi give you that 'help me' look.

Now no longer having a training partner you decide to train by yourself. You thought it would be best if you practice ninjutsu, seeing that you now go to a ninja academy and you'd prefer to be ahead of the class. (Especially due to the fact that you are most likely the weakest there). First you were going to practice chakra control. You pulled out your phone and went to YouTube.

'Oh, so you can't make calls, but you can watch YouTube?" You think bitterly as you glared bemusedly at the electronic. "I see how it is..."

Clicking on the episode of to which Kakashi was explaining to team 7 on how to walk up trees. Listening closely you started to memorize the instructions. When the video was over you put your phone back into your pocket and started to do exactly what Kakashi was instructing in the video.

✨💫⏰Time skip⏰💫✨-many fails later

You stood, hunched over and using your knees for support. You were tired and covered in dirt and more bruises. Your body felt sore and you were soaking wet. Even so, you felt pleased as you stood on top the surface of the lake.

It took you some hours, but you finally got the feel of your chakra and now you can walk on trees like a pro. During your little chakra session you even taught yourself how to walk on water. Having only been able to get the handle of chakra control, you felt confident. Now, you wanted to try actual technique.

"Shadow clone jutsu!" You shouted as you made a hand sign.

And just like that a deformed, dwarf sized shadow clone poofed up right beside you.

"Wow! I'm really bad at this...' You sighed, disappointed with your results. 'Well. Who cares? I'll just work on it until I get better!!' You mentally cheer. With determination in your eyes, you reattempted the technique, not stopping until you got it right.

It went on like this until you reached your seventeenth attempt. You were determined to make at least one decent looking clone and you didn't care about how much energy you waisted getting there.

Although, it was on your eighteenth try when you had officially reached your limit. It was only a wonder tgat you was able to reach this far, although, for you did waste a lot of chakra on in your attempt to defy every law of gravity and physics possible.'This isn't good.'

Just before you collapsed you felt a presence. It was familiar, so you weren't very worried. You let your eyes close as your body hit the warm luscious green grass. The sweet scent of beautiful spring flowers engulf your being. Your (h/l) (h/c) hair spread around your head, slightly moving every time the wind blew. Moments later the presence you felt finally revealed itself to you and it was

...

.

"Kakashi..?" you softly spoke.

He face palmed at your current state as he proceeded to walk towards you. "We gotta stop meeting like this. Can you stand?"

You blink, frowning under your mask as you attempted to move your arms.
Watching your pitiful display, he shook his head dissaprovingly before picking you up bridal style.

"Your soaking wet. Are you trying to catch a cold?" He scolds as he begins to head the main street. You could only chuckle weakly as you suppressed the urge to blush out of embarrassment.

"You might as well tell me where your house is if you plan to keep this up." He continues to carry you until you start to squirm around in attempt to find the paper with your address on it. He puts you down gently and you pout slightly. Finally you find the peace of paper and started to lead the way.

When you guys finally got there Kakashi instantly points out something.

"So I was right."Kakashi says.

"About?" You asked.

"Looks like we're neighbors." He replies back.
