Kakashi's P.O.V.
Class was finally over and everyone was leaving. I looked over to my side to see that (Y/n) was already waving me over. She seems really excited.
"Kashi-kun! Hurry up already!!" She exclaimed as she waved her hand frantically.
Shaking my head at her childishness as I gathered my stuff and walked over.
"(Y/n)-chan! Kakashi-kun!" We both looked over to see Rin running up to us, Obito following close behind. Once they were a couple feet in front of us they stopped. "Want to hang out?" Rin asked as she stood up straight and smiled.
Before I could answer, which was an obvious "no", (Y/n) spoke up.
"Sure. I mean, if it's okay with Kakashi that is."
At this, everyone directed their gazes towards me. I have no choice but to answer now. I was planning on spending today with (Y/n), if I didn't except, that thought would go to waste. So, in conclusion, I shrugged my shoulders to let them know that I was fine either way and began to walk out the classroom.
"So where should we go?" Rin asked excitedly.
"How about the dango shop? Me and Kakashi still have plans to go there." (Y/n) said.
"Sounds good with me, I was kind of hungry anyways." Obito replied.
I simply nodded my head in agreement. For some reason I feel very annoyed by this. Maybe it was because I was actually hoping to spend some time alone with her... Quickly brushing off the feeling, we all began to head to the dango shop, making light conversation as we walk.
...
"(Y/n), why do you seem so excited?" Rin asks after a while.
"This is going to be my first time having dango." The said (h/c)ette said happily.
I eyed her, noting that she did look much happier than usual. 'I don't see why anyone would get so excited over some flavored dumplings on a stick.' I let my gaze trail back to her before casting them to the side. 'I guess it doesn't matter, besides... she's really cute when she's excited..' I thought to myself.
"(Y/n)! You've never had dango?!" Obito gasped.
She shook her head no as she continued to walk. I could practically feel her eagerness radiating off of her. Her (h/c) hair swaying in the light breeze as she walked, (e/c) eyes sparkling with overflowing anticipation. I've never seen her so happy about something before. It's kind of cute... wait. What am I thinking. There's those thoughts again! There's no way I like her like that. We're just friends...right? Nothing more, Nothing less. Besides, I doubt that she would feel anything of the sort towards me. If I was to just up and confess without knowing surely, it could ruin our friendship. And as weird as it is for me to admit it, I don't want to lose her.
Sighing inwardly, I looked up to see that we were already at the dango shop and (Y/n) had already rushed inside and took a seat. Quickening my pace, I, along with Rin and Obito, walked over and sat down next to the (h/c) haired girl. Sadly, me being the last to get there, ended up sitting next to Rin. But at least I'm across from (Y/n). I simply sat in my seat and glared daggers at Obito. Although he probably didn't notice since it didn't seem to faze him. Instead he tried to start a little conversation with us, looking ever so slightly pissed. It was hard to notice but there. Probably because I'm sitting next to Rin.
I don't see why he would be so mad though, it's not like I'm interested in her or anything. Yeah she is fairly attractive, and kind, and smart, but so is (Y/n). (Y/n) seems to have something that Rin doesn't. This calm and alluring feeling that just seems to pull me in. I'm not sure what it is, but I can't seem to get enough of it.
"What about you Kakashi?"
Wait what?
"Kakashi?" The voice spoke again.
Looking up, I see everyone's attention was focused on me. Then I turn my head to see a lady that was awaiting my order.
"Oh. I would like Mitarashi dango and tea please." I asked, feeling slightly embarrassed.
"Okay, I'll be back with all of your orders soon." The waitress said before hurrying off into what looks like a kitchen.
"You okay Kakashi? You've been zoning out a lot." (Y/n) asked me, suddenly seeming worried.
Some type of emotions began to flow over me. Sadness and.... Joy? I don't like making her worry about me, but at the same time I feel happy that she cares to feel like that for me.
"Yeah... I'm okay." I say. She seemed doubtful so I flashed her a reassuring closed eyes smile.
Everyone seemed to be shocked, well except for (Y/n).
"Did you just smile?!" Obito exclaimed.
I looked at him annoyed and spoke. "Yeah. What of it? Can I not smile now?"
"No, it's not that." Rin started. "It's just... We've never seen you smile before..."
"Hmph." I muttered.
The lady then came back with the dango and Obito and Rin began to eat. I eyed (Y/n), searching for a reaction. Everyone then turned to see how she would like them. She stared at the various types of dango in front of her, obviously tempted to eat them right then and there. But instead of trying it, she just glanced nervously around the table.
Why did she...Oh.
"Guys, I think we should give her some privacy." I say as I turn my head to the side. They, also getting the idea, turn their heads to the side and closed their eyes. A little while had passed and it was no more than a few seconds when I heard a surprised groan. Opening my eyes and peaking over, I saw that Obito had already had his eyes wide open and staring at (Y/n) in disappointment.
"I swear she can be just as impossible as Kakashi sometimes." He muttered lightly.
Not getting what he meant by that, I turned my attention back to the (H/c) haired girl to see that she had already finished all of the various types of dango she was given and had a very please look on her face. I could hear Rin giggling as (Y/n) just gave us a closed eye smile while rubbing her stomach.
"Soo... How did it taste?" Rin asked impatiently.
"I....LOVE IT!! Now if you don't mind..." (Y/n) then turned around and called out to the waiter. She began to whisper and the lady just nods with what I assume is a big smile on her face.
"Very well. I'm glad that you enjoyed it miss."
"No problem. Your good service only made the experience a thousand times greater. Your boss should give you a raise." (Y/n) beamed.
"Thank you very much." The waitress gushed, her peachy skin starting to tint a light shade of a rosy pink. Not wasting a second, she fled the scene before returning back shortly. "Here are your dangos to go, ma'am."
"Thaank-you." (Y/n) said sweetly as she reached for her wallet.
"No I got it! Dangos on me remember?" I intervened quickly.
"You sure?"
"Yeah?"
"No, dango's on the house." The waiter interjected.
"Won't you get in trouble?"
"Not really. Besides I can handle it. Don't worry."
"But I don't want to cause you any misfortune." (Y/n) reasoned.
"I got this. It's the least I could do for such a good soul. I don't see to many of those these days." The waitress insisted.
"If you say so..." (Y/n) didn't seem all to sure about it but reluctantly took the boxes from the lady. The young woman then left the table to tend to the other customers. I looked back at (Y/n) to see that she had already finished her (drink) too.
Not even a peak... Oh well...
I was a bit curious of to what she is hiding underneath her mask, but I never bothered to ask really. Kind of like how she never asked about my mask nor has she ever tried to peak. She always respected my space, leaving me to wonder why? Why isn't she like the rest? Why is she so different? Why do I have such strong feelings for her? Just why? She's not like any of the other girls I've met. But maybe that why I love her. Hold up. Love. Do I really love her? Damn... I wish father was still here......
"Kakashi?"
"Ah- What?"
"What you thinking about?"
My face began to heat up as (Y/n) face neared mine and eyed me curiously.
"Nothing." I muttered quickly, hoping the topic would change.
"Well guy's this is my stop." Rin chirped as she began to say her goodbyes. Once she began to walk off, Obito scrambled after her. "I'll walk you home!" He shouts as he neared her. Both of them now out of our line of vision, we began to walk home together.
A cool breeze swept over us as we walked home. (Y/n) was humming a light tune. It was a sweet, melodious sound. It makes me wonder where she got it from. It didn't sound like any song I've heard of. Maybe it's (your culture)? She did say something about being from (your country).
Snapping out of my daze once again, I notice that we had already reached her house.
"It was nice hanging out with you guys." She says as she turns around and faces me. "I'll see you tomorrow, Kashi-kun." She then bounded to her window and opened it, submerging herself into the room in the process.
Just as I was about to say goodnight and leave, I noticed that she began to make a 'come here' motion with her hand. Obeying her command, I perched myself on top of her windowsill. Then she did the unexpected. She engulfed me into a warm embrace. An embrace that I quickly returned.
"Thanks..." She whispered softly by my ear. Once that was said, she lightly pecked my forehead and pulled away. "Have a goodnight Kashi-kun."
I just sat there, trying to process what had happened. "Y-Yeah. Goodn-night, (Y/n)-ch-chan." I stuttered as I almost fell out of her window. I tried my best to regain my cool, I steady myself and exit her window. Waving her goodnight I begin to walk to my house, which wasn't all to far.
Sh-she she k-kissed me. My forehead. Does that mean she likes me? No, that's... I'm overthinking things. But I can't help it. She was so warm and smelled so nice. Is it bad that I wish that we could be something more?
(Y/n).... what are you doing to me?...
Reaching my house, I walk in, do my night routine, and fall into a dreamless sleep. An image of (Y/n) being the last thing I see before I fall into the abyss of sleep.
