Familiar darkness floats surrounds me as I float alone in what seems like a endless void of stars.

"This isn't your time." Echoes a voice I have heard for so long.

"What, what do you mean?"

"The time will come, and we shall return."

"Return, where?"

"When I am at full, mistakes will be corrected and we will return."

"What are you saying?

"That is all."

"Wai-"

A sudden gust of wind hits me, making me close my eyes against the impact. Feeling my surroundings change, I open my eyes to shaded curtains. The sun was now peeking through my room and giving everything a light glow, telling me that it was now morning. I sat up despite the desire to stay snuggled up in the warm covers. 

It had been a week since that incident had occurred, but everything seemed to be back to normal. The day after my return, I went back to school only to find myself being surrounded by my friends and interrogated and welcomed back. It seemed that my absence had affected everyone more than I had thought. It was weird having that many people worried about me, but something about it was somewhat pleasing. 

Alas, it was another school day and I had to get ready. Even so, I can't remember a time that I was ever this happy to go to school of all places. Shaking off my thoughts and pushing back my dreams, I stretched and left to get ready.

Having finished breakfast with Kushina and Minato, you walked back to your room after excusing yourself from the table. Seeing that you were completely ready and still had some time left, you pulled out your phone and opened the wattpad app to read some stories.

Hearing a soft knock on your window, your ears twitch and you immediately put away your ears and tail. Before he could open the window and let himself in, you locked it and put up a (f/c) sign that says, 'Out of order, Use door ;p.' You hear someone trying to open your window anyways, but after a while you could slightly hear an audible grunt and footsteps.

Giggling slightly you walk to your door and unlocked it. You were instantly met with a slight glare from a very annoyed Kakashi. You give him a closed eye smile and give out another small giggle. 

"Wow, I must've seen it all." Kushina laughs. "Kakashi using the front door?" A small chuckle sounded from Minato as he read his book in reply to Kushina's comment. Kakashi closed his eyes and exhaled in defeat, shaking his head slightly. He walked in, not waiting for your permission.

"Yeah sure Kakashi, you can come in." You say sarcastically. "So, are we leaving or what?"

"Yeah." He said, walking back out.

"Honestly Kakashi, What was the point in inviting yourself in if you was gonna leave immediately after?"

"..."

You tsk'ed at his silence as you began walking out of the house after Minato and Kushina bid the two of you a good day. Kakashi following close behind you stayed silent as the two of you were now walking to school. Everything was silent for a while until you spoke up again.

"Ne~ Kashi-kun?" You asked, spacing out again.

He hummed lightly in response.

"You... would believe in my words..... right?" You ask, voice becoming more distance. "Or maybe even believe in me?"

"Of course I do, what reason do I have to doubt you?"

You smiled lightly at his remark but asked another question.

"And we are friends...... Right?" Your face became more distant as you continued. "Meaning that you won't forget about me, and I won't forget about you?"

Images of all the 'friends' you made that seemed to forgot about you flashed into your mind. This happens quite a lot since you were always so quiet and shy mostly. At this point, you were used to being forgotten, but being in this world changed you. You wished that even if you were to disappear of the face of the earth without a trace, that at least someone. Just one person would remember you.

Kakashi stopped walking and turned around to face you. He was slightly hovering over you as he grabbed both of your shoulders firmly.

"(Y/n)...." His onyx eyes met your (e/c) ones, not once faltering. He let his face soften a little when he saw your distant expression. " I don't know where these questions are coming from, nor everything about you. But, we will always be friends, so there is never a need to question it. Not only that, but you have changed me so much that it would be hard to forget someone an amazing person like you." He spoke softly.

He stuffed his hands in his pocket and began walking again as you stood there, processing what he just said. Looking back he called out to you, "How long are you planning on standing there like an idiot? Hurry up or we'll be late."

Snapping out of your thoughts as you finally was able to comprehend what just happened, a soft smile graced your smile as your muscles begin to relax.

"Un." You piped up cheerfully as you ran to catch up with Kakashi.

'Did he just... friend-zoned me?' You gave another thought to his words. 'Heh, probably not... I hope.'

Soon enough, you both make it to the school with ten minutes to spare. Walking into your class, you sit next to Iruka who had Mizuki on his left. Kakashi was sitting to your right as you were to Iruka's. Rin Got up from her seat to sit behind Kakashi and Obito, of course, followed, sitting to her left.

As Obito was trying to talk to Rin, Rin directed all the questions to Kakashi, who simply didn't react. Deciding to start a conversation, you turn to Iruka, propping one arm on top the desk to support your head as you rested it on your palm.

"Mornin', Ruka-kun!"

"Good morning, miss Namikaze!"

You sweat dropped as he tried out your new name. Over the course of a couple of days, you would've forgotten of the arrangement of being added to the family if it wasn't for the teacher using it when doing role call almost immediately after you came back. This, of course, left most of the class in a stir at the news, and all of your friends teasing you for it. Iruka was the prime offender of this, but you didn't mind as much. Brushing off his comment with one of your own, you smile at him.

"When was the last time we spoke, Umino?"

"It's been a while hasn't it?"

"Yeah."

"So how are you?"

"I'm good, thanks for asking. How are you?"

"I'm great."

"I'm glad to hear that."

Iruka stares at you for a while before speaking up again. "Hey (Y/n)?"

"Yeah?"

"I just noticed something, was your hair always that long?"

You gave him a confused look as you tilted your head to one side.Turning around slightly to grab a lock of your hair, you gently lay it on your shoulder and see that it has indeed grown two inches compared to when you were kidnapped.

"I never noticed..." You whisper to yourself but still loud enough for him to hear. "I might just cut it later I guess."

"I think it looks cute on you." Iruka murmured to himself with a slight blush on his cheek.

"You think so?" You ask, catching his quiet words.

Iruka face erupted into a deep red when he realized that you heard him, but nodded to assure you.

"I see.... than I guess I'll keep it then." You say as you stroked your hair, a soft yet unnoticeable smile gracing your masked face.

"Um Iruka?" You called out lightly.

"Yes?"

"Wanna hang out after school later? You know, seeing that we don't hang out as much as we used to."

"Sure, where do you want to go?"

"I'm not sure, we'll figure it out later I guess."

"Okay."

Just then Noboyuki-sensei walked in and started class.

Time Skip- Shizuo chasing Izaya

Everyone exits the class for recess. You run over to Iruka to join a game of tag, accompanied by Kakashi.

"Hey guys, may I join?" You ask politely

"Of course!" a couple of the kids in the group chorused.

You turned to Kakashi who was just a couple feet behind you. "Joining?"

"I'll just win anyways, but sure."

"Alright!" You clapped happily as you gave him a closed eye smile.

He shook his head lightly as the kids began to start the game.

"1, 2, 3. NOT IT!!" Every one chorused.

"Kakashi your it!" One of the girls in the group giggled before everyone ran off.

You being one of the first to run off turned your head to look behind you and saw Kakashi charging towards you. You looked around and saw all the other children was far away. Letting out a slight giggle you made a sharp turn to the left, distancing yourself even more from the silver haired boy before stopping.

"You. Can't. Catch. Me~" You yelled in a sing song voice before taking off, increasing your speed by 30%. You did this because, yes you don't want to be tagged but you don't want to run out of stamina in the middle of the game because then you would be an easy target.

Looking back behind you, you completely lost sight of Kakashi. You let your guard down for a split second as you bent down to catch your breath. Less than a second later you felt a hand press down quickly on your shoulder before hearing a little boys voice.

"Your it!" Mizuki yelled as he ran off.

"What the-? Wait, Kakashi must of tagged another person while I wasn't looking. That sly dog." You thought to yourself before getting ready to for another sprint towards the nearest student, which just so happened to be Iruka.

Smirking to yourself as you narrowed your eyes slightly, you ran full speed ahead towards Iruka's unaware body.

Just now noticing your presence, his eyes widened in realization when he found himself as your target. Running as far as his feet can carry him, he let out a loud and hearty laugh. "You'll never catch me!" He yelled.

"WATCH ME!!" You shouted back in a playful voice.

Iruka managed to escape your sight and his somewhere to catch his breath. When he let his guard down, you had found him under a tree. You giggled softly to yourself as an idea popped up int your head. Bringing your chakara to your feet and silently climbing up the tree, you hung your self upside down from one of the branches before tagging his arm and whispered into his ear. "Tag. Your it."

He jumped at the contact and looked, only to see you jumping out of the tree and running off , way out of his sight.

Before he could tag anyone else, the teacher called us back in for class.

Time Skip

Class was finally done and everyone was leaving to do what ever it is they wanted to do. You ran over to Iruka, who was patiently waiting for you.

"Hey! Sorry I'm late!" You say as you stopped in front of him. "I had to do some extra stuff for the teacher." You explained.

"It's okay." He said while smiling. "So you ready?"

"Yeah." You beamed.

"Can I join?" A familiar voice asked.

Kakashi's P.O.V.

I left the school and searched the crowd for (Y/n). She wasn't anywhere in sight. I waited a couple more minutes before deciding to head back home. Just as I walked away from the schools door, I heard a familiar voice. Turning my head to the direction of the sound, I saw (Y/n) running over to a boy with brown hair, pulled into a high ponytail that resembled that of a pineapple. I think his name was Iruka.

They stopped and had a mini conversation. I wasn't able to hear them to well so I came closer.

"It's okay. So are you ready to go?" Iruka said.

'Wait they're going somewhere? Just the two of them? Alone? Are they going on a date or something?' All these questions ran through my mind like a wild fire and it made me feel some kind of way.

"Yeah." (Y/n) beamed.

Her smile.... she looks so happy...

My body seemed to move without my consent.

"Can I join?" I ask."

'Why did I do that?'

Everyone turned around and faced me, waiting a second before speaking again.

"Sure." She said.

I felt relieved for some reason, but I didn't show any emotion towards it.

"So, where are we going anyways?" I ask with my normal bored expression.

"Good question, where are we going to, (Y/n)?"

We both turn our gaze to the said girl.

(Y/n)'s P.O.V.

'Dang! I completely forgot about that. Come on (Y/n) think! They're both waiting! '

I lower my head for a second in thought before raising it again with an idea in my head.

"Actually, I thought that we could walk around the village and visit places that intrigue us." I say.

'Hehehe, wait to hide the fact that you had no idea of where to go!' I applauded myself.

"Sounds like a plan." Iruka says.

"Then let's go." Kakashi says, waiting for us to start walking.
