"H-Hey, put the gun down. People will see you," Taeyong uttered and fell nervous when there are no other people around other than them.

Shit.

"Give me your bag."

Taeyong held the bag tightly, "Of course not!"

The man reloaded the gun and still holds his position steady. Taeyong felt his heart dropped and thought this guy would really pull the trigger. Honestly, the boy wouldn't give his bag away but he'll catch the bullet. In this kind of state, he would scream for help but he would also catch the fucking bullet or be a hostage.

"Give me your goddamn bag or I'll shoot you," the man threatened.

"No shit, sherlock--"

"Don't even joke around!" he said before he tried grabbing Taeyong's bag.

Before Taeyong could even run, he was grabbed by the man and pinned against the wall. He hissed at how hard his back met the hard concrete. His wrist was in a very tight grip and has the gun on his forehead. The boy's heart pounded hard against his chest and looked away.

He couldn't do anything when the man got his bag. Who wouldn't be afraid if you have the nuzzle of a gun against your head?

"Y-You got what you want! Don't pull the trigger," Taeyong said.

The man hummed, "I leave without witnesses."

For fuck's sake.

Taeyong immediately closed his eyes and waited for something to happen. Before the man could even pull the trigger, someone punched him hard against the face and made him fall on the ground.

Taeyong didn't know what happened but he felt nuzzle was gone so he opened his eyes to see the man on the ground and Jaehyun furiously stared at the man. He didn't expect Jaehyun to come out of nowhere.

He saw the man's car by the sidewalk which made him think Jaehyun was on his way home. Luckily, he saw Taeyong.

Well, the gunman didn't run but instead, he put himself back up to take a shot on Jaehyun. He did pull the trigger but Jaehyun pointed the gun up. Both of them had a fight and Taeyong was just standing there watching them.

Jaehyun seemed like he can handle himself well. He got a few scratches and bruises there but in the end, he got the man drop on the floor and went unconscious.

Taeyong looked at the figure infront of him. Jaehyun looked scary when he just acts like this. It wasn't his first to see him like this but it's been so long sonce he lost his temper. He then saw Jaehyun grabbed his phone from his pocket and threw it at Taeyong who caught it successfully.

"Call the police," Jaehyun uttered and panted.

Taeyong watched Jaehyun wiped the blood by his busted lip and sat beside the boy. He saw his hand was bleeding from all the punches. His eyebrow has a cut and he was rubbing his jaw.

Taeyong snapped put and immediately called the police. After, he grabbed his bag by the floor and gets his phone to call Ten. Something inside of him wanted to take care of Jaehyun's wounds. He owed Jaehyun so much that maybe his conscience couldn't take it anymore.

"Hey, Ten, I'll...be coming home late today. I have some, uhm, business to do. I'll call you later, bye."

The police came immediately and went to arrest the man that was still unconscious on the floor. They retrieved the evidences and tried to get some statements from both men. Taeyong did tell everything then Jaehyun was asked to get treated for his wounds but Taeyong interrupted them.

"I'll handle his wounds, don't worry," Taeyong uttered.

Jaehyun furrowed his eyebrows as he looked at the boy. The boy didn't look back, he was embarrassed. The police shrugged.

"Sir, I think it would be better if he'll get treated in a clinic," the officer said.

Taeyong smiled, "His wounds aren't that deep, officer, but thank you for the offer. You see, he's scared being in clinics so I'll take care of him instead."

The officer nodded, "Alright. Have a good night, sir."

Jaehyun has never been scared of clinics.

Taeyong pulled Jaehyun into the car with the boy on the driver's seat. Jaehyun lets him be and sat on the passenger. Their drive was quiet and no exchanging of words. They didn't know what to say anyway, and it seemed like a long ride when it was just five minutes before they arrived.

They stopped on the house Taeyong used to live in. It was somehow bittersweet to be here again in an unexpected time. It was the same but the feel was very dull. When they walked in, Taeyong felt nostalgic. So many memories.

"I don't know why you volunteered to treat my wounds," Jaehyun said, walking up the stairs.

Taeyong followed him and knew they were going into the bedroom--their bedroom. The boy felt terrified to go inside. There were very bad memories in there but he wanted to show that he's fine.

Going in was like he was in someone else's room. Clothing and papers were scattered on the floor. It was very untidy, to say the least. He tried not stepping on the clothing and sat on the bed while Jaehyun gets the first aid kit.

Taeyong looked around and thankfully, Jaehyun wasn't drinking or smoking. A messy room is better than seeing vices. What caught all of his attention was their wedding rings on the bedside table and their wedding picture.

So, he isn't wearing his ring?

"Sorry for the mess...Uhm, but here," Jaehyun uttered and placed the kit between them, "But I can handle myself."

Taeyong opened the kit and grabbed cotton and medicine, "You always say that but ended up doing a bad job."

He looked at the man who was looking back at him before he looked back on the bleeding knuckles. He pats down the cotton with medicine and repeatedly does it.

"Don't think anything stupid, okay? I'm doing this because you saved me. It's like every time I get in trouble, you're always there," Taeyong said.

Jaehyun sighed, "I told you we'll see each other in the parking lot, didn't I? Why didn't you?"

"I don't think I have any reason to."

"I just want to talk about the deal. You're making it hard for the both of us," Jaehyun said.

The boy put bandages on the knuckles and goes to get more cotton balls and medicine to go onto other bruises, specifically on the man's face. He tried not to get distracted by the stare. It was piercing him.

"You can't blame me for acting like this, can you?" Taeyong uttered.

"I can't, but I'm making an effort."

The boy grabbed a bandage to place it on the man's eyebrow. He took a look on Jaehyun's eyes. He haven't looked through them this close after what happened. He didn't dare to stare too much at them. His heart was beating too fast.

"Well, I can't see them," Taeyong said.

Jaehyun furrowed his eyebrows, "You're tough."

"I should be."

The man sighed and scratched his nape. He cleaned and tidy things in the kit. The boy fell quiet. Jaehyun just stood to put the kit back inside the bathroom. Taeyong looked back on the rings by the bedside table and sighed.

"I'll give you two weeks, after my brother's wedding. If you haven't earned me, you know what to do."
