It was another day for work. Taeyong wanted to finish all of the work as soon as possible since he'll be away for, more or less, two weeks. The week before the day would be hectic. Taeyong will be helping Ten with the venue and everything. Also, there will be the bachelors' party.
He won't be able to work in America so he'll work on it right now before Sunday, because their flight would be on Sunday. He can't also leave it all to Jungwoo. Poor boy.
He's been working on his laptop for the whole morning now. He was too busy to even greet anyone or know what's happening. It's also a deadline day so departments will be coming up to pass their papers to the CEO.
It's not a deadline for the secretaries though. Jaehyun somehow managed to move their deadlines to a month. So, they're pretty relaxed at this point but still, doing things in advance is much better for Taeyong.
"Hyung, it's lunch time," Jungwoo said and stretched his limbs out.
Taeyong nodded with his eyes still on the laptop screen, "Yeah...I'll get mine later."
"Stop doing that already. You might get sick," the boy stood and walked out of their area.
"I'll finish this in a minute. You go ahead," Taeyong uttered and briefly smiled before he goes back to work.
Jungwoo shrugged, "Alright. Text me if you want anything."
Then he walked into the elevator and left Taeyong. The boy wasn't hungry yet so he'll just keep working. He was too focused on his work that he didn't notice Jaehyun coming out of his office.
The man fixed his suit and looked at his watch. He was going out for a lunch meeting down the street. Out of his habit, he looked if his secretaries already went out to eat. Surprisingly, Taeyong was still there.
Jaehyun furrowed his eyebrows and looked at his watch again.
"It's lunch time," Jaehyun uttered.
Taeyong tensed but he kept himself unbothered and kept typing, "I know. You have a meeting in 15 minutes," he said, his eyes glued to the screen.
The man hummed, "You aren't going to eat yet?"
The boy shook his head, "I'm not hungry."
"You might get sick--"
Taeyong looked at man and stopped, "I know what I'm doing, alright? Now, if you'll let me do my work, I'll be able to eat on time."
The boy kept a straight cold face and looking at his handsome boss infront. The man sighed and shrugged then goes into the elevator. Taeyong sighed and kept himself calm before he goes back to work. He's too trying hard with being so cold around Jaehyun. But he just wants to avoid him.
Jaehyun's being the one who kept making the first moves. Whenever he sees Taeyong, he'll always try and make a conversation or something. Taeyong just wants some peace but it looks like history really repeats itself.
It went about some minutes before Jungwoo came back after lunch. The boy went to seat on his swivel chair and puts his water bottle on the desk. He looked at his hyung.
"You need to eat. I'll really pull you out of here," Jungwoo said.
Taeyong chuckled, "Just a bit more then I'll be done before you know it."
"I'll really throw your laptop out of the wind--"
The elevator opened and thought Jaehyun wouldn't be this early since he has a meeting. Also, employees shouldn't be in here without any reasons and Jaehyun is out. A lady walked out and seemed to be the person who receives people on the first floor. She was holding a paper bag.
She smiled at both of the boys, "Mr. Jung Taeyong, this is for you."
Taeyong was taken aback and slowly grabbed the bag, "Uhm...Thank you, but who made you do this?"
"I should be quiet about it. Sorry," she said.
The boy just smiled back, "Okay. Thank you for bringing it anyway."
"My pleasure. I'll be taking my leave," she said before she walked into the elevator and left the floor.
Jungwoo chuckled, "Don't tell me you have a secret admirer around here. I don't know if Mr. Jung would be happy about this."
Taeyong looked into the bag and saw a takeout lunch pack inside. Also, there's a sticking note ontop. He grabbed the note and read it. He immediately knew who it was.
'Eat well. I'll see you in the parking lot after your shift.'
"I don't know about you but I'm sure he would be," Taeyong said.
Jungwoo furrowed his eyebrows, "You guys are complicated."
Taeyong has eaten well that lunch and now, he's just about to go home for dinner. He stood from his chair to stretch his arms and back. Jungwoo just closed his laptop and fixed his things. Both of them grabbed their bags and goes into the elevator.
They walked towards the exit of the building and Taeyong thinking if he should see Jaehyun in the parking lot.
"Hyung, I'll be going now. Lucas already called me," Jungwoo said, waving his phone.
Taeyong nodded and smiled, "Alright. I'll see you next month, I guess."
The boy chuckled, "Yeah. Have fun!"
Taeyong waved back before he walked on the sidewalk while he thinks about getting a taxi or meet up with the man. He was confused. It's like giving up your pride or nah. Maybe he shouldn't, but he gave him lunch.
Should he feel guilty if he'll just get a taxi? Why does he need to meet Jaehyun in the parking lot? There's nothing to talk about! Also, isn't he avoiding Jaehyun?
"Hands in the air!"
Taeyong got startled when someone shouted and held the gun at him. He put his hands up with wide eyes. Things suddenly became too unlucky for him.
