Song of the Day: Stereo Hearts by Gym Class Heroes ft. Adam Levine. Love that song. --------------> :)

I laughed, tugging at Shadow's hand, the slight breeze tugging at my hair and clothes.
It was a beautiful day today in Oregon and I wanted to spend it with Shadow, who couldn't have agreed with me more, but was still a little shy as I tugged him deeper in the meadow, trying to find the perfect spot.
"Come on!" I said, my eyes laughing and playful at him as we walked, our ankles being brushed against grass and some flowers that are still surviving against the fall and than winter.
Shadow's forehead creased, uncertain. "Um, do you think this is a good idea? You're making it sound like its Spring instead of Winter."
"Fall," I corrected him, not putting up with him ruining my mood.
"Whatever," he said, rolling his eyes. "It's nearing Winter and you want to have a picnic? Have you lost your mind?"
I pursed my lips, thinking. I almost exploded with laughter. Yeah, right. I was thinking that this was perfect. "No."
Shadow eyed me carefully, but made no avail to stop me as I dragged him nearer to our destination. "You sure you're okay?"
I chuckled and stopped walking to wrap my arms around his waist, my face on his chest, upward. "Well, I'm probably a bit crazy, but only for you!"
He gazed down at me, his gorgeous blue eyes matching perfectly with his dark hair and slightly pale complexion. I stared back, barely since even when his eyes were warm, I still felt intimidated and small. I sighed, the feeling will always be there.
Finally, he laughed, and squeezed his arms around me. "Fine, I'll go along with this, but I better not meet Big Foot along these woods."
He grabbed my hand and started walking, our arms swinging between us."Well, who knows maybe he'll be nice and offer your some berries."
Shadow shot me a look and then chuckled, shaking his head softly. "Right and then while I eat the berries he plans his attack on me. Oh Arielle! Hold me, before I die!" He desperately reached out for me, his face worried and needy.
I laughed and pushed his arms away. He laughed too, his hand already slipping back into my hand, warm and strong.
We walked, hand in hand, chatting easily with each other. I couldn't help, but look at him as he talked, him smiling now and than, into the conversation.
I still watched, smiling and nodding here and there, liking the way that he was a different person than the person he was three months ago. Back then, he was just closed-off. Distant and uninterested. And right now, he was less colder. Warmer and talktative. He wasn't Shadow Skywood, but he was Shadow Skywood. He just changed a bit of his ways. Just a bit.
And than there was me. Still the same. Sure, I now have a boyfriend who pretty much changed my world in good and bad ways. The only bad about it was that our friendly relationship turned into something more and it happened between this fued in Sebastian and Shadow. Tragic, I guess, but not so tragic since now a lot of them have closure.
Yes, they're still a gang. Sort of, but now some weight has been lifted off their shoulders, and now they don't have to worry about thier ex-member Sebastian and his gang. I still feel bad that he died, but I try not to dwell too much into it. I don't know what happened to the rest of his gang though. I asked these questions to Shadow as he led me to the car that night, but he just shook his head and told me it was none of my concern. I asked Ash, his best friend, but he pretty much told me the same thing and a few bit details. Something that they ran away. Something like that. I just hope they never come back. None of them need that right now.
And mom is pretty much okay with the fact that I decided to stay with Shadow, but still has an eye on him at times. Shadow just shrugs at this and says he doesn't mind. Your her baby, he said a few nights ago, his thumb making faint circles on my hand, of course she would keep out on a lookout for you. I blushed at the "baby" part, not really true since there was Vanessa...
Vanessa loves Shadow. She loves the basics: his eyes, his hair, his attitude....and the list goes on. Sometimes when he would have some gum left in his poeckets; he would give it to her. She would just blush and giggle hysterically, clutching the piece of gum to her chest; like her life depended on it. It was kind of cute, but I warned her to get away from my man. Haha. Just kidding! Jesus, like a new doll her was to her he was. Well...something like that. Teddy bear, I guess.
When she first met him, her feet pounding against the stairs, yelling out for Mom, she froze mid-step for a few long seconds, and than sprinted back up. Not saying a word. The next meeting was her with her jaw to the floor, still shocked, and than another trip up the stairs. And finally, the third meeting, she was able to mumble a low "hi", and than there relationship kicked off from there and is still progressing great.
Oh, a lot of things have happened in such short time and still find myself slightly shocked by their events, but now I'm getting used to it. Kind of.
I gave a little shiver, finally away from my thoughts, and back into reality with Shadow's hand in mine.
Shadow quirked an eyebrow. "How much more?"
"We're gonna have to run than 'cause this might take awhile..." I trailed of, my lips turning into a mischevious smile.
"Run...?" He questioned, brow furrowing.
I didn't answer instead I giggled and took off, sprinting as carefully, but quickly across the meadow as I could. I cringed at every remaining flower I crushed under my feet, but Shadow already seemed to get the message and was sprinting toward me as fast as he could.
"Oh gosh, Arielle," he said, laughing a little bit.
I laughed and walked faster, taking in the fresh breeze as I got nearer to my destination. Maybe I was crazy. Hmm.
Finally, I could spot the rough, gritty roof of the so-called cave. I know it wouldn't be such a great idea to have a picnic in the average wet and half-brown grass so I though this would be great to spend some time with each other.
"Arielle," he huskily whispered in my ear. I jumped, not expecting him a few feet behind him. Crap. I glanced at him and sent him a small, secretive, and then fluttered away. Literally.
Just a few more yards, I thought, eyeing the "cave" the whole time.
Suddenly, though, I felt two strong, but slender arms wrap themselves around my waist and slung me in their arms. I sighed, beaten.
"Well, that was interesting," Shadow teased, walking toward the "cave". "But let's take a break. Shall we?" He nodded his head toward the front of the cave, which was filled with a bit of sand and grass from the lake across from it, but it was still safe and comfortable.
I crossed my arms, expecting a big win from this, but no, he got me. He chuckled, observing my face. He reached down to my face, his cool fingers caressing the side of my cheek. I blushed and gave in, snuggling my face closer to his chest. Okay, so he makes me melt easily. Embarrasing, maybe, but not quite.
"So this is the place we're staying?" Shadow asked, ducked his head as he settled me against one of its stone walls. He placed the picnic basket in front of us and settled beside me. "Not too shabby I must say."
"Yeah," I agreed, crossing my ankles.
"Where did you find it?"
"Last summer," I replied, opening the basket, already hungry. "We were just hanging around the lake and then we spotted like a shed. Or so we though it was till we went out into the kayaks and find it was just a medium-like cave. I don't know what it is though, but we have spent some time here doing campfires or sleeping over. Great memories here." I looked around admiringly, remembering the non-stop laughs and games. I smiled, my heart yearning for another summer like that.
Shadow grabbed my hand. "Well, I guess, now you can make a new memory with me." I smiled at him and leaned over to place my head over his shoulder. I sighed, contented.
"Life changes so unexpectantly," I murmured.
For awhile he stayed quiet, pondering.
"Yeah," he finally said, "And it changes people as well. Sort of."
"Yeah," I replied back.
"Enough about that though," he said, grabbing our drinks and food. "Let's talk about something else."
"Talk?" I drawled, seeming confused at it's meaning.
He laughed, it was deep and sweet. "Yes, talk."
I smiled, looking down as I fiddled with my fingers. "Well, I hope I ace next week's Calculus test. Hopefully. I think."
He laughed, his bright sapphire eyes twinkling. "Calculus, really? Well, still confused about this topic, but I hope you "ace" it as you said."
I mumbled a "yeah" and blushed deeper.
He changed the topic. "Well, Christmas is coming! Got any plans for that."
I smiled, pursing my lips. "Ha. Well, even though my mom was going to ask you this when we returned home she wants you to come in Christmas Eve for dinner. Accept or totally cracking under pressure right now?"
He pursed his lips, playing along with my game. "Nah. Well, maybe a bit nervous, but I'll think I'll manage. Your sister may have a heart attack though."
"Yep! Totally write on that one."
"Thanks though," he said, smiling, and then he leaned over to give me a long kiss on the lips. I froze for a second and then reached over to wrap my arms around his neck, bringing him closer.
He gave a little moan, his hand tightening around my upper arm. I ran my hands through his dark hair, loving the soft texture in my hands.
"Oh and about my gift...," he suddenly said, moving away to see my face. I froze. Oh crap. Okay, no, I did not forget. I just... I just can't seem to find something that he'll like.... Crap.
"Um... yeah about that," I said, looking down and playing with my fingers. I couldn't look up. I couldn't!
"Yes?" he said eagerly.
"Um," I hesitated. Dammit!
He suddenly laughed, leaning away from me. "No pressure, okay? Just teasing you a bit?" I gaped at him, incredulous. Sure, he was different, but his sarcastic was still there. In tact.
"But," he said casually, causing me to be on edge again. "I am a bit curious about it...."
I bit my lip.
He laughed again. "Kidding, okay?"
I lounged at him. "You MONSTER!" (hahahaha)
He started laughing, rolling on his side as I threw him back with my arms. It was sort of funny, but he did ask for it so its not really my fault.
And then an evil plan came in mind... Muahahahahaha.
I crawled toward him--yes, he was still laughing--and started doing a vicious attack on his stomach. I just hoped he was sentitive to being tickled. At first he just laughed and then he laughed harder, tears almost on his eyes.
He rolled back and forth, his laughter making him tremble. He tried to push my hands away, but he barely moved it an inch before throwing back his head and laughing.
"Arielle, please stop!" he cried, his blue eyes looking teary. He rolled to his side, but I just followed him and tickled him to death. Literally. I laughed and yelled,"NEVER!"
"I will never forgive you for this, Arielle!" he cried out. And then what seemed to take more than his whole being he tackled me, trapping my hands in his.
"I hate you so much," Shadow said, molding his body to mine, his warm breath against my neck.
"I hate you too, Shadow," I answered, giggling a little bit. And then I wrapped my arms around his waist.
He paused. "I love you, Arielle."
I looked up at him, knowing I loved him so much. I stroked his cheek.
"I love you, Shadow."
