Note: You have long hair in this one-shot. I'm sorry if you don't like it ;-;
For those who don't know what 1bitHeart is, it's a mystery type game where your main objective is to make friends. There's also a story around it so it's really interesting (and darn good imo.) That's all I can say about it without spoiling something.
Enjoy reading :3

Strange. That was the only word you can describe the white-haired boy you met some time ago.
Not only was he strange because of the unusual shape of his Bitphone, he's persistent when it comes to making friends with everyone he meets. Almost everyday, you see him walking around either by himself or with Misane to find friends or solve a problem.
You have to admit, you're one of his friends that's always involved in some sort of case. And you rather like the situations you were put in because it adds excitement to your already boring life.
"_____!"
"Hm? Oh, it's only you, Nanashi."
"That was cold!" He looked at you with a sheepish expression, but it was gone the moment it appeared. You, however, kept your stare on him to see what he wants.
Misane isn't with him, making the situation somewhat awkward since you have mixed feelings about Nanashi. Whenever he's free (he's always free), Nanashi always comes up to you since you used to be a shut-in like himself. How he can approach someone as cold as you is beyond your understanding.
But that's what attracted you to him.
"I know you like cute stuff and you have trouble with your long hair so," You can feel your cheeks heat up a little as he pulled out a kitten scrunchie. The stuffed cat was practically begging you to take it and squish it like a stress ball or, better yet, show it off to the whole world by wearing it. "This is for you."
"..." You were silent for some time, and Nanashi took this as a bad sign because he started to stutter and panic.
"Oh no, you don't like it?! Ah- um- I-!" You cut his rambling short by taking the scrunchie from him as gently as possible and trying to smile, in which you could only manage a small, crooked one.
"... Thanks, Nanashi. I appreciate the thought."
"You're welcome!" Nanashi sighed in relief and smiled wide, "I thought you didn't like it since you weren't saying anything. Next time, just tell me whatever's in your mind!"
You wouldn't like that, you thought. You know he has this mind-reading ability, so you usually try to think of nothing and leave your mind blank around him. You'd rather not let him know some things about you, much less your feelings about him.
"Ah, then I should tell you how weird you are often."
"That's giving it straight to me," Nanashi sheepishly chuckled and scratched his cheek with his finger. You watched as he tries to make conversation with you; your similarities ending with being former shut-ins, nothing more and nothing less.
Although, cute things might be another similar interest.
"_____?"
"Hm?" You snapped out of your reverie and repeatedly blinked, eyes still trained on Nanashi. His pink eyes stared back at yours as if he were looking at your very soul. You crossed your arms and tapped a finger on your arm instead of showing your discomfort.
"Is something wrong? You were spacing out earlier."
"... Nothing," you answered, not wanting to confess anything that concerns him. "I'm gonna go ahead. I want to go home and-"
Nanashi shook his head and grabbed your wrist. Your eyes widened at the sudden contact and you could see him jut out his lip in a pout. Pouting.
It was rare and adorable of him to do that.
"Eh?"
"You need to go out around the city more often, ____!"
"Eh?! Says the weird shut-in!"
"Says the weird shut-in who is your friend," Nanashi corrected and proceeded to drag you around Blue Sun Street. You tried to say something -anything- just to get yourself out of this predicament.
It was like the times he kept visiting you just to become his friend. He would always come to your room and persuade you to go outside to enjoy life, but you were pretty stubborn back then, so you always answered no and end up talking with him in your room and receiving presents from him.
It's the second time he's dragged you outside of your comfort zone to spend time with him, but you've come to like it. And him.
You pushed your thoughts aside and let him drag you around in a steady pace.
**
You and Nanashi have gone to Sunset Hill and CocoAlley already, and both of you are on your way to the train station going to Break Passage when he suddenly lagged behind you.
You turned, your hair following the motion and swishing behind you. You tied your hair up with the scrunchie he gave you, so your fringe isn't in the way of your vision, and right in front of you is Nanashi huffing and puffing.
"...You're so weak."
"I-I don't really walk around this much and I have low stamina," Nanashi panted, his hands on his knees as he gasped for breath. You wordlessly gave him the water bottle you bought from Cafe Lapin in Cocoalley. It's a surprise that the cafe has water bottles in stock actually.
He said his thanks and took huge gulps of water before returning it to you. You gave him a pointed stare and said, "You shouldn't have dragged me around then."
"I'm fine with being tired as long as you're happy."
Another thing that's strange about him: he'll let anyone step on him if the person in question becomes happy. Use him; order him around; frame him; you name it and he'll gladly do it for anyone's sake.
"That's not healthy," You pursed your lips, casually flipping the water bottle in your hand. "You are your own person. If I were you, I wouldn't go that far."
Nanashi just looked at you and replied with his happy-go-lucky demeanor, "If anyone's satisfied after they use me, then I would do it. I mean, if they become happy through me, then I'm okay with it. Even if they turn out to be the hero or villain."
You stayed silent, not sure what to say after that, then did the one thing you thought you wouldn't do.
You kissed him on the cheek.
The poor boy's face became as red as a cherry and he let out an undignified "eh?!" in response. You could only let a small smile slip on your face and vaguely said, "Don't overdo it or I'll be there to smack some sense in you."
"That sounded like a threat coming from you," Nanashi's face began to cool down and he gave a small laugh. You shrugged, not sure if he showed any sign of embarrassment, and continued down the path, not bothering to take his hand in yours. You still value personal space after all.
"If you don't have the strength to walk anymore, then I'll be going home now."
"Hey, wait for me, _____!"
He may be strange, but he's the one guy who dared approach you and became your friend.
And, of course, you do have a crush on him, however strange he may be.

Woohoooooo guess who's addicted to 1bitHeart? 😂
Anyway, this is another stroke of inspiration. Not at all romantic and I'm unsure if this is qualified as fluff. Oh well *shrugs*
I'm just really active rn since Christmas break is almost over and I'm procrastinating again. I haven't finished any schoolwork assigned during the break, which is a troublesome reminder for me since they're important.
Comment if you ever see something wrong so I can fix it ^^ And you are free to criticize so I can do better in the future. I'm still trying to get the hang of catching Nanashi's personality since, well, he's new to a lot of things outside of his comfort zone.
See you soon,
