We start walking to the park and I notice a familiar face walking toward us.

Matt.

"I thought you had to run errands with your mom!" I shouted making sure he heard me.

"My mom said I could come with you guys, she doesn't need any help anyways, it's only a few errands." He replies.

"MMHM." I say sarcastically.

(Even though I believed him)

"What you don't believe me, I thought we were best friends were supposed to trust each other!" He shouted.

"Yeah, yeah."

Bailey is riding her lime green sparkly bike beside me, not really paying attention to anything else but the side walk. She's just staring off like she doesn't have a care in the world.

"The park is just around the corner do you wanna ride ahead?" I asked Bailey.

"Yeah."

She started towards the park.

"Is she doing okay?" Matt asked with a curious look.

"She has a big bruise above her belly button." I answered.

"Oh, well let's change the topic then, so there is a movie coming out about kidnapping, mysteries, and violence." He says teasingly.

"Yeah.... okay..... what's it called then?" I raise my eyebrow questioning him.

"Uh..... Kara, you know I don't remember movie titles like that?" He says smiling hiding a laugh.

"I thought so."

"But there is a pretty good movie coming out that I want you to see with me."

Is this a date or just a friend thing, I definitely didn't know, then again I never dated anyone so I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

"Alright then, when does it come out?"

"Tomorrow."

"Of course it does." I say adding a little laugh.

We finally reach the park. After a few hours of the sun tanning our skins, we start walking home. Its already 5:00 and getting dark. We reached the front door just before the street lights came on.

I help Bailey get into her pajamas, she fell asleep on the chair in my room as me and Matt wear reading to her.

"She looks so peaceful." Matt says.

"Yeah, I wish she could look that way all the time." I added with a frown.

Matt looked at me, I saw him from the corner of my eye.

"Everything will be fine Kara."

I shake my head a little disagreeing.

"Yes it will, I promise."

I look back at Matt who was still looking at me, he'd never broke a promise to me before. Should I believe him?

I look back at my peaceful sister. Praying that things will be fine.
