Friends, enemies, drama, validation, and self-worth. You hold power to these things. Your life is only YOURS. These are just the side characters playing along in your life where you are the main character. It's okay to be selfish and disappoint some people but not get involved in things. I remember wanting validation as the most popular kid in school which I did have for a while but it consumed me as a person. I realised there are better things like drawing which I'd rather spend time on than discussing drama on my phone after school. If someone did better than you on a test, good for them. But where did you go wrong? Luckily I had this question in my head and did not give in to others' opinions about me because I knew I had potential. Now self-belief and delusionalism are very different concepts and do not mix them up. Studying the night before a test might not always give you full marks but going to the test with 60% of your content nailed rather than nothing at all will still yield better grades. Most high school students wind up doing this anyway but this does not apply to big tests. Maybe class tests.
