Mrs.Aomine, since she knew, she wanted me to feel better. She decided that we all go out and eat dinner instead of at home. Which even more made me feel bad.

It was awkward, they were talking altogether, the Aomine family. While I, (First Name), part of the (Last Name) family and namely Daiki's girlfriend, was sitting there quietly eating.

Of course until Mrs.Aomine invited me into the conversation.

"So what did you think of Daiki's performance during his match, (First Name)-chan?"

I blinked a couple of times, about to put food in my mouth. I gulped down the lump in my throat and averted my eyes elsewhere in the restaurant.

"It was...exciting. I guess, um." I bit my lips and shifted uncomfortably. Daiki's face went from a bit anxious to find out how he did from me, to a disappointed one.

"Excuse me...I need to use the bathroom." I excused myself and headed off, away from the table.

As I entered, I sighed loudly, walking over to the mirror. I saw myself.

Maybe this wasn't such a good idea...I'd rather stay home, than be surrounded by more people...I don't want to cause panic and aggression to Daiki...but...

I realized I was taking up the sink while others were waiting.

"S-Sorry..." I stood aside as the slightly angry ladies who were waiting glared coldly at me. I looked down ashamed, feeling even worse.

All this is doing to me is hurting me...it's only bringing down my self-esteem.

There's always a little truth behind "just kidding", a little emotion behind "I don't care", a little pain behind "it's okay", a little "I need you" behind "leave me alone", and there's a lot of words behind the silence.

I came out anxiously, practically having my "tail" in between my legs. I felt like a shivering puppy chihuahua, constantly wanting to hide.

I sat down at the table and nervously looked down at my hands in my lap, trembling.

I'm sensitive, I'm insecure. I'm easy to read.

"Oi, are you cold? You're shivering." Daiki came up to me with his jacket and draped it over my shoulders, not to argue or make any questions asked, I nodded.

"What did you do in there? You were fine and you come out freezing." I jolted as I felt Daiki's hand touch my forehead.

I don't know why I'm shivering...it's just happening...

I felt a sneeze coming and instantly shielded myself in a ball of his jacket and let it out. I heard Daiki make an awkward grunt, putting his hands on my waist.

"I'll take her home right now, she doesn't seem well. Are you sick or something, (First Name)?" I shook my head frantically, swatting away his hands that were trying to figure out what the problem was.

Daiki took me back home and tucked me in his bed, inspecting me closely. I faked a cough and covered my mouth, looking almost glaringly at him to make it seem real to ask, "Why are you still near me?"

"I don't want to get sick but, you seem really sick. I'm going to get medicine."

"D-Don't leave." I uttered out subconsciously, really not meaning it.

L-Leave...

"Hey...I'm just going get you some meds, I'll be right back." He gave me a quick peck on the lips and ran out.

His room was messy, magazines and garbage laying around.

What is...wrong with me?

Moments later, he came running up with a glass of water and a medicine bottle. I took the pills and gulped down the water.

I noticed Daiki crawled in bed next to me, pulling me closer. He pushed my head against his chest, "Sleep, you need it."

He caressed my cheek and placed a kiss on my head.

I slowly drifted off to sleep, things on my mind.

Sick of crying,
Tired of trying,
Yes, I'm smiling,
But inside I'm dying.
