I was brought into questioning, which I confessed that I shot that man. They simply said, "It was self-defence." But in my mind, I was saying, "It was out of mere anger." They asked what was my relationship with Aomine was. Which I looked away and didn't answer, they replied to that by saying, "I see, you don't have to, it must be hard."

I was treated for the minor injuries; bruises and such which didn't matter.

I went to where Aomine was, which I was told that the wound wasn't bad. It missed all the important organs, vessels and arteries. I sighed in relief as I sat down next to his hospital bed. He had yet to regain consciousness.

"You're an idiot, you know that, right?" I gave a sad smile at his body laying down, all the tubes connected. Of course he was free to go once he awakened, but at this point, he wasn't.

"You're such an idiot..." I laughed lightly as I brought my head down low. "Risking yourself for me...you're really horrible..." I was too upset to say anything else. I touched his large hand, feeling the temperature of it.

"You may not be Prince Charming, but surely, I'll be your Beauty to your Beast," I paused, pursing my lips for a moment, "because you are a beast."

"Though I never believed in happy endings and fairytales, I can tell you that the relationship between us is my favourite out of all the stories."

I brought his hand to my lips and pressed them against his hand, closing my eyes, "...So please wake up, I miss you...I love you. Please..." I felt tears roll down my cheeks, feeling like he wasn't going to wake up any time soon.

I heard a groan as I opened my eyes slowly to see his eyes open as well, "Took you long enough to say." He grumbled, shifting to find a comfortable way to sit up.

Once he did, he gave me a smirk, looking at his hand I was holding. I shyly put it down as he opened his arms, gesturing for me to come to him.

I stood up from the seat and jumped onto his hospital bed, wrapping my arms around torso as he laid down. He squeezed my body, I whiffed in his scent, feeling much better. I pressed my face into the crook of his neck.

"I-I...thought you were gone...why would you do that...?" My sentence was muffled.

"You're an idiot, too. I care about you...and I thought you were gone too once he had you in his grasp. I thought I was going to lose you, I can't risk that, (First Name). You mean a lot to me."

"You mean the world to me..." I replied, embracing him tighter than before. He sighed and laid me down my his side, "You, too."

We stared at each other in silence for a bit before I said something, "The doctor said there's no real injury," I paused, touching his cheek, "I'm glad there's none."

Aomine leaned down towards my face; leaning in for a kiss.

U-Um...

I hesitated for a moment, leaning in, then leaning back, "A-Aomi-"

"Call me 'Daiki'." He whispered before he and I locked lips. He softly kissed me with his tender lips, knowing that I was uneasy, making ginger moves. We broke the kiss once I ran out of air, staring into each other's irises.

"How are we not boyfriend and girlfriend?" He suddenly asked, looking up as he slightly threw his arms up. I laughed, grasping onto his shirt as I did so. "We hug, I saved you, we kissed, we just made out. How are we not?" He looked down at me.

"I'm just waiting-"

"Be my girlfriend." Before I could say anything he kissed me again.

It wasn't a question, more like a demand. But...it works too. All that matters is that we're together, he's okay and I'm okay.
