"You want to have a slacker life?" Headon is baffled. Is that his desire? Headon didn't expect that because other regulars have the desire that would be expected from them but this, young man, is different. Cale solemnly nodded while he cross his arms. Being a slacker is the best, is what he thought.
"If you climb up the tower, you'll have your desire as a slacker because everything you want is on the top of the tower!" Headon eloquently said. Cale held back his chuckle and hummed. He lightly stamps his feet on the ground and slowly forms a crescent smile on his face.
"You think I'd believe that kind of bullshit?" Cale clicked its tongue. Cale thought about how shitty this world is. There is nothing such a place that can make people's desires come true in the world.
Cale wondered if he can escape this tower but before he could think of anything, someone just spoke in his head.
Cale.
It's the voice of that motherfucking God of Death. Is GoD responsible that I transported in this world? is what he thought. Cale's face darkens, knowing it has a possibility.
I made a mistake. You were supposed to be reborn in your previous world, somewhere far from the Roan Kingdom but when I'm doing the process, I got distracted and chose the wrong world. Sorry.
Motherfucking God of Death must be having fun playing with my life, is what Cale thought. Cale frowns and wearily brushed back his hair.
Sorry? Cale let out a scoff inwardly and rolled his eyes.
Ah, I still have to tell you. You can't escape the tower. Even the Irregulars can't escape that. The method of exiting the tower is unknown.
Irregulars? He needs information about this world. If GoD what is said is true, information of this world will be the key to his survival. Being clueless will be his death in this world.
Hah! Fuck, of all the world, that he can be transported to, GoD chose this world? Cale wants to kill that motherfucking God of Death badly. Too bad, Gods can't be killed. Is Eruhaben-nim right about him being the unluckiest bastard all this time?
Once you go in, there is no door to leave in the Tower. You must survive so your family here won't destroy the world.
Whose fault is it that I'm here in the first place? This stupid God of Death, is what he thought. Cale remembered Raon's voice counting 1-100 and saying he'll destroy the world if he didn't wake up after counting 1-100. Cale trembled internally because of how vicious of a dragon Raon is but Cale misses his children averaging 3 years old. He wondered what they are doing right now.
Before you decide that you will climb the tower, I'll give your ancient powers back even if it wasn't as strong as before, it will still help you in that world. Your ancient powers will still go back to their strong state every time you pass every test that was given by the administrator on every floor so you could survive there. That's all.
GoD decided to give the ancient powers that I earned there, that's a good decision. After all, GoD's the reason why I'm here in the "tower", is what Cale thought. He still wants to give that motherfucking God of Death a smack on the back of his head for all that happened to him. He's the start of all his problems. Cale heaved a harsh sigh.
"I'll climb up the tower." Cale stoically said as he stares at Headon. Headon is confused about what changed Cale's mind. He didn't want to enter the tower earlier and now he suddenly said he's going to climb up the tower. Headon shook his head and shrugged it off.
"Can you take the risk to embark on a hard and painful journey to get on top of the tower?" Headon said in a serious voice as he moves his long yellow stick with two green balls at each end. Cale nodded at his question. He is always in every hard battle in his previous world. Fainting and coughing blood isn't a problem for him.
"I see. Then, let's do a test to see if you're qualified to go up the tower." Test? This must be what GoD said when he said about passing a test on every floor. Just how many floors does this tower have, is what Cale thought.
"Are you curious about the "test" that I'm talking about?" Not really, is what would Cale like to say but he needs every piece of information. Cale just apathetically nodded at his question.
"In this tower, every time you go up a floor, there is a test to see whether you are qualified to go to the next floor. If you pass the test, you can proceed to the next floor. Tests are decided by the administrator and the rules of each floor. Of course, the difficulty varies depending on which floor you are on. In other words, if Mr. Cale wants to go up to the next floor, you need to pass my test." Headon said as he shows a grin that Cale has a premonition about the test he's going to take.
"Look! This is the test of the first floor." Headon taps his long yellow stick with two green balls at each end and the other green ball glows brightly. The glowing green ball is pointed to a cage. A cage with water inside of it and a strange huge creature appears. Cale observed the white steel eel that is moving around the inside of the cage.
"The ball," Headon solemnly said.
"What is the ball and that strange creature over there?" Cale asks as he looked at Headon.
"The "ball" is a simple test. The "ball" is that round human-sized sphere. It is designed to pop when hit hard. To pass the test, the rules are simple. You need to go inside the bars and outrun or defeat that monster by popping that ball. Do that, and you pass the test." Cale nodded as he understands the test. Cale keeps observing the monster inside the cage. Cale couldn't see that "ball" inside the cage, is it possible it's inside of the monster?
"Is the monster you're referring to, is that?" Cale pointed the monster inside the bars.
"Correct, Mr. Cale! That's the monster!" Headon exclaimed.
"It is a "White Armored Eel". It is a big fish that lives in the shinsu flowing through the tower. Usually, he has a very mild temperament, but this time of the year is his spawning season and he hasn't eaten anything for a few months. . . So, he is very aggressive at the moment. Are you afraid, Mr. Cale?" Do I look like I'm afraid, Headon? is what he thought. Monsters in Korea and White Star's troops are scarier than this. Cale shook his head and Headon acts worried. Fake.
"If you aren't, please think it carefully first. Taking this test is suicidal. That eel is very fast and agile in the shinsu and you won't be fast enough to escape. You will end up as eel food. Rather than committing suicide, I think you should back off-," Back off my ass, even if I want to escape here, there's no door to exit in the first place! is what Cale thought. Suicidal? Cale clicked its tongue and frowns. He's already used to it.
"Shut the fuck up. Earlier, you make me want to enter the tower then now, you want me to back off? If you will talk nonsense, don't talk." Cale turned his back on Headon and walk towards the cage.
Headon snickers, "What an interesting human. Another irregular that opens the gate by himself other than the twenty-fifth bam. Welcome to the tower, Mr. Cale."
