Chapter 8
Stiles POV
I woke up gasping for breath. I was back in the elevator, but I wasn't alone this time. Newt and Minho were with me. The elevator was exactly how I remembered it. Moving quickly up and full of supplies. I looked down seeing I was in the same blue shirt I had the first time in the maze.
Newt and Minho were gasping beside me. I was so confused, I thought they were hooking us up to something to do with our minds. 

"Not again" I heard Minho say as he groaned. 

I and Newt shot him a confused look. "They did this to me the first time they captured me" He explained. I nodded in response to his answer. 

After what felt like 20 minutes the elevator finally came to an abrupt stop that threw the three of us to the floor. The top of the elevator began to fill with sunlight blinding us just like the first time. 

I jumped up sitting on the ledge as Minho and Newt did the same. We looked out at the glade. The sun was in the middle of the sky showing it was about noon. The grass was green and bright then My attention turned to the runners' shack. That was still standing. No one had been in there because non-runners weren't allowed in. My attention turned to the big house where the medical wing was on the top floor and Meetings took place on the first floor.

The building had holes from the grievers, and parts of the walls were completely smashed. The gardens were trampled and all of the irrigation systems torn out of the ground. The fire pit was still smoking as we had just left even though it had been months. Pretty much everything was destroyed and unusable. We got up from our spots on the elevator and began to look closer at everything. 

"We can't stay here if the grievers come back and we're out in the open..." Newt trailed off.
"Newt we're not actually here this is in our heads the place could change at any moment it's meant to get our adrenaline running" Minho explained. As soon as he said that a screech was heard from inside the maze. The grievers were coming. The three boys ran into the woods hoping to find some sort of cover. 

Minho was in the lead running quickly as he stumbled over so tree roots. Grievers were coming from three directions; the only way they could go was into the west side of the maze. We darted into the maze making quick turns and sprinting as fast as we could down the long hallways.
Somehow the grievers cornered us against a wall. They approached us. I felt one of the tails grasp my leg. I screamed as I was lifted off the ground and turned upside down. 

"TOMMY '' Newt screamed, grabbing my hand. Minho helped but it did nothing. I was stuck in the claws of a griever, Minho was grabbed after he slipped a little trying to pull me down. He tried to struggle but it was useless. Newt was grabbed shortly after that. The griever holding me. Moved so we were face to face and he let out a large screech. 

The next thing I know I was strapped into some Machine. I tried to move my arms but failed. I saw Minho wake up as well. Oh no that means Newt was in The hallucination by himself. I listened as he screamed trying to figure out where we went and how he ended up alone. Eventually, he too was brought out of the hallucination. Ratman walked into the room smirking at me. 

"Well, you three just gave me a brilliant idea why don't we store you in the maze so even when your friends find where we are they can't get to you," He said with a wicked grin on his face.
"Get them prepped and sent back into stage one"

Liam POV
Scott had come up with a really stupid plan to figure out who was working with Ratman (At least that's what Aris called him). Scott would have Kira shock him until he was pretty much dead. The only way to bring him back was to have Kira shock him again. 

Argent had given us cameras so that we could see all that was happening in the hospital. We had contacted the benefactor saying that Scott was dead and visual confirmation was not possible and that if we didn't get paid then we were going after them. 

I was with Kira and Aris in an empty hospital room. Lydia was at the boathouse trying to figure more out. We had explained to Melissa the plan and she wasn't too happy about it. Noshiko was here to help us and advise us. We were watching the cameras when one of them went out. 

"Uh, is that supposed to look like that?" I asked, pointing to the black flickering screen. 

"Nope," Aris shook his head. "It's on the roof, someone's gonna have to go check it," He said as he tried to bring the camera back online. 

"I'll go," Kira said. 

"No we'll just wait here we don't really need the camera on the roof anyway," Aris said still trying to turn the camera on from here. Kira rolled her eyes, grabbing her sword and walking out of the room. Aris tried to grab her but she just kept going. 

I went to follow her but Aris grabbed my arm "You stay" He said, focusing back on the screen. I attempted to sneak out while he wasn't paying attention. Without looking up from the screen he caught my arm again. 

"Nice try but cranks really help you learn when there's movement behind you," He said. I sighed standing next to the bed. I heard Aris start to hit the keys harder and get more frustrated. I looked and saw all the cameras had been turned off. 

"Come on we gotta get to Scott," He said taking off down the hall running as fast as a supernatural does. We were about halfway there when we found Noshiko on the ground bleeding and ready to pass out. Melissa was trying to keep her awake as whatever had stabbed her turned to face us. It had animal bones all over it, and furs worn like armor along with an animal skull covering its face. I went forwards to try and fight it but was immediately thrown into the wall bedside, Melissa. The thing turned to Aris cornering him. 

I got up ready to protect my friend and tried to jump on the thing. It slashed aris on the arm throwing me again and then stalking away. Aris cried out in pain holding his arm. He ripped off his striped hoodie wrapping it around his arm. I went over and helped him up and Melissa told us to get to Scott. 

We hadn't been there very long when Argent was thrown into the room. He looked up at us telling us to run when a blonde lady and the creature from before walked into the room. 

"Oh, Chris you have two newbies here where's Stiles and Derek oh wait they aren't here are they '' She smirked. I growled while Aris glared. He may not have a weapon but for someone so skinny and small he was pretty intimidating.

"Move we just need one small thing then we'll be out of your hair," Kat said, smirking. "I just need the body" 

Argent shook his head standing up reaching slowly into his jacket. "I can't let you do that," He said, pulling out his weapon and firing at his sister, hitting her in the stomach. She groaned in pain holding where she had been hit. 

"I forgot you always carry two," She said before running away the berserkers following behind her. 

I saw Aris look at his watch, his eyes widening "WHERE'S KIRA" he screeched showing us the time and that we only had a few minutes left. 

"I'M HERE" Kira screamed coming into the room. The group hurriedly opened the cooler that contained Scott. Kira put her hand over his chest shocking him. Scott gasped as his eyes shot open. 

Malia POV
As we drove the sun kept getting hotter. I heard Frypan cursing Teresa for making this place. I was about to yell at him for talking about my sister like that but I couldn't help but be impressed that she made this, she may be evil but she's still smart. 

We drove along dust being thrown into the air behind us. After almost a whole day we stopped. There was a compound. This one was completely different from the one in the city. It was more locked down and completely made of metal and steel. You couldn't hear the heartbeats of anyone inside or catch their scent. 

"How did you guys even break out of this place?" Aiden said, looking at the building in awe. 

"Long story but it was mostly Thomas, and Aris they were the ones who knew we needed to get out and led us," Frypan said. We all got out of the car stepping into the sand. Isaac who had gotten a lot weaker as time went on was being supported by Gally and Derek. 

"Hurry we don't wanna be out here for long cranks are probably on their way already," Gally said. We nodded walking as fast as we could through the sand. 

Getting to the doors we saw that it was locked. There were the same screeches we heard earlier in the distance. I found the locks holding the doors together. I couldn't break them even if I wanted to; the doors were sealed. 

"How do we get in?" Derek asked. Gally nodded to fry who went towards the landing pad. There was some type of tripwire he pulled and the doors opened with loud clangs. I covered my ears trying to keep the sound as quiet as possible. 

We ran inside as the screeching came closer. There weren't any guards around the doors. That in itself was surprising it's like they were expecting us to come and they were ready. We walked forward, our shoes clacking on the metal floor. 

'We were wondering when you would join us" A voice sounded from down one of the paths. "Oh looks like your friend has caught something" The man who looked like a rat appeared in our line of sight. I growled my eyes glowing and teeth elongating. Derek put his hand on my shoulder.
"Where's Thomas, Minho, and Newt?" Gally spoke dropping Isaac's arm onto Aiden. Gally pulled out his weapon. 

"Come on Gally I know how your mind works you won't kill a normal person without being controlled" the man stated and an evil smirk on his lips. 

Gally's face started to turn red in anger. Frypan had to grab his arm to make sure nothing happened. 

"Alright, I'm gonna ask you this one more time before things get messy" Derek said. "Where are Stiles, Minho, and Newt?" Derek flashed his eyes growling. Rat man just smiled even more. 

"You wanna see them fine. Guards escort the people to the main lab" Rat man said. The guards surged forward out of nowhere taking hold of each person in our group. They grabbed our arms, pinned them to our sides, and dragged us to walk with them. I struggled but somehow the hold I was in made the guard be able to keep me in control. We walked down long brightly light hallways. We stopped when we hit a door that said restricted. Ratman opened the door with a key card gesturing to the guards who dragged us in. 

Inside the room, multiple TVs and computers were set up. One screen was divided into three parts showing a picture of our friends and their labels. I looked away from that screen to a different one. There was a meadow with trees and grass and sun. It looked like a very nice place until I realized there were walls surrounding the place. The hand-made structures had been destroyed. In the center of the meadow was a box in the ground. Sitting by the box wet and looking exhausted were the three boys we were looking for.

 
"YOU PUT THEM BACK IN" Frypan screamed, struggling to be freed from his captor's grip. "THEY'RE GONNA DIE IN THERE ALONE" 

"Oh, but they aren't alone," My sister said, coming out from behind one of the computers. A few clicks and wirings were heard some awful screeches as well. Then the three boys jumped to their feet. They ran for one of the remaining buildings. When they were about a yard away from it something came into the meadow from inside the maze. A big creature with slimy skin and metal legs. 

"No," Fry and Gally said at the same time. "The grievers"
