Harry took me to a restaurant after the match, so we could catch up and talk. As we were waiting for food, Harry started a conversation.
"What are you up to now, Hayley?" He asked, keen to know more about me as we hadn't spoken in 2 years.
"Well, I'm trying to find a job at the moment. I still live with my mum, too." I told him, and he smiled.
"I can help you get a job, maybe. White Hart Lane is looking for more stewards at the moment." He said, and I smiled.
"I think I'm qualified to do that. I'll put in an application." I said, before looking into his eyes again. He looked better than ever; he'd even started to grow a faint beard, which I loved. He looked so mature. "What about you?" I asked, and he smiled.
"Well, you know I'm playing in the real spurs team now. No children yet, but still hopefully in the future. I've got a place of my own, but it's not big." He said.
"Better than me." I said, and we both laughed. Our food arrived, and we ate.
"It's so good to have you back, Hayley. I missed my girl." He said as I took another bite of my lasagna.
"I missed my premier league man." I said, and he laughed.
"Well, I wanted to make you proud. Seems I did." He said, and I smiled at him.
"You didn't need to make me proud. Either way, I still liked you. Apart from when you got yourself a new girlfriend. Then I was jealous." I said, and he sighed.
"Yeah. Sorry, I just didn't know if you were going to come back, and I'd completely lost contact with you. But that ended. Anyway, if I was still with Gina, I would have come back to you." He said, and watched as my eyebrows furrowed.
"Gina? As in Gina Wellington?" I asked, and he nodded. "What a bitch. She knew I'd come back at some point, yet she still went for you." I said, letting out a sigh.
"It's fine, Hayley. That's over and done with, and now you've got me." He said, and I smiled.
"I know. And I'm not letting you go. At least, for a while yet. Who knows how far we'll go." I said. We finished our meals, before Harry slid his hands across the table to hold mine.

"So, we're carrying on from where we finished. I just have one question: if I asked you to come out with me again, what would you say?" He asked, and I smiled.
"I'd say yes, Harry." I told him, and he grinned.
"Sorted then. I'll pick you up for my match against Fulham next week." He said, before the waitress appeared and gave us the bill.
"I'll pay, Hayley." He said, and paid for our meal, before we left the restaurant.
"Where to now, then?" I asked, and he smiled at me.
"Why don't you come to my house for a while? We can have a drink if you want." He asked, and suggested.
"Alright." I said, and we began to walk towards the stadium again, before he stopped me.
"Do you have a car with you?" He asked suddenly, and I shook my head.
"It's at home because I only live down the road. I walked here." I said, before we continued walking. Harry took me to his car and we drove to his house, which wasn't too far away. When we got inside, he popped open a bottle of wine and we sat on the sofa together.
"Nice house. You're lucky you can afford all this at 18." I said, and he laughed.
"Yeah, I am." He said, before there was a knock on the door. Harry got up and opened it, to reveal his brother with a Labrador.
"All yours, Harry. He's been great all day." He said, before looking at me as Harry kneeled down to pet the dog, who was very excited to see him. "Who's this?" He asked, and Harry stood up again.
"That's Hayley. She's back in London again now, so I invited her over." He said, before taking the dog off its lead. The dog immediately ran over to me, and smothered me with kisses.
"Hello!" I exclaimed as I pet him. Harry said goodbye to his brother and sat down next to me again.
"I think Buddy likes you." He said, and I laughed as Buddy sat down on my lap, spread across half of the sofa.
"That's a good sign, then."
