"Ok dude I dont care what you say I am getting up"

"Riley"
Austin said in a serious voice that sounded like a warning

"What Austin"!

"..."

"I am getting up damn it you and Jack have had me siting on that fucking couch all damn day and I can't just sit and do nothing damn it"!!!

"Ummm"
Austin said not quite knowing what to do or what to say

"Come on"

"Where are we going Riley"

"You said that we could get my stuff only this will be fun because we have to brake in the the foster home and take my stuff"

Austin looked at Riley and thought holy fucking shit I love you he smiled at her and she smiled back with an exited look

"Let's go"
Austin announced

Riley grabbed the box she had dropped and Austin watch her as she picked it up for two reasons one to make sure she didn't fall again and just cause he liked the view they ran to the foster home Riley pulled out a lock picking set that she has had since she was 11 and she unlocked one of the window she slid it open and jumped up onto the window ledge she looked up and down the hall and jumper to the white tile floor she told Austin to come on in once he got in Riley slid the window to where it was almost completely shut she waved her hand in a follow me motion Austin followed her up the white stares once they finally got to Riley's room Austin had figured out why foster homes where always called terrible it was like jail or insane asylum Riley's room was the only one Austin had seen with bars on the window and she had almost nothing in her room.

"What's up with the bars on the window"

"Oh those things I fucking hate those" but that is my third set of bars this month haha"

"Damn girl"

She got all her stuff in her box the box only had a few things it had three other pares of shoes one set of jeans two jean shorts two other pares of tights one ripped and one completely unharmed a lamp some picture frames that were face down some bed sheets and crayons

"Is this it Ray"?
she looked down at it with disappointed eyes and said

"yeah w..why"

"I dont know I just thought that maybe umm... Well nevermind"

"No I get it you thought I would have more right"?

"No I mean umm I guess"

"Nah it's cool dude"

she set the box down on the bed and looked at Austin and waved her hand at him telling him to walk over to her he faced her his back towards the wall their eyes reached each other and never parted. Riley smiled up at him and he smiled back at her she put two fingers on his chest and pushed him on the wall stood on he toes and kissed him Austin was surprised but in a good way he put one hand between her shoulders and the other one on her lower back she wrapped her hands around his neck and ran her fingers through his hair. Riley moved her head back and looked at Austin and smiled really big like she was happy excited and embarrassed her eyes sparkled in the little moon light that shone through the window.
Austin kissed her one more time and then Riley said

"we have to go there are guards that walk the halls at night to make sure no one is out of their room"

Austin's point of view

BANG!! Riley spun her head and looked at me she was scared I could see it in her eyes that look terrified me what had they done to her here?
She slid the box under her bed and I hid in a empty wardrobe Riley laid down on her bed and pretended to sleep. The guard that we heard from down the hall walked to her room and looked inside. It was a man probably about 20 and he walked in her room and kissed her it filled me with so much rage I wanted to brake out of that fucking wardrobe and ripe his fucking head off. I thought shit was gonna get worse but another bang was heard down the hall and he shot up and walked out. That was my girl he kissed MY GIRL WHAT THE FUCK!! Riley opened her eyes and wiped off her mouth and spit on the floor I walked out of the wardrobe grabbed her jacket and lightly pushed her up on the wall.

"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT"!

Riley looked down she wasn't sure what to say it was like she was panicking this was her weakness this place was her worst nightmare. She had figured out what she was going to say and looked up at me and in a voice that terrified me she said

"welcome to my world"

She looked at the floor again and couldn't look up at me to save her life. I grabbed the box and we headed back to the window I opened the window and told Riley to jump out I handed her the box I started to jump up and WAM!!

A sharp pain ran through my leg and I fell to the ground I let out a holler and looked up and standing over me was that same guard that kissed Riley. I let out a few more groans of pain as I rolled over on to my stomach and scrambled to me feet.

'I'm gonna in joy this'

I told myself and punched him hard in the nose he stumbled back holding his nose with one hand. He regained his balance and came back at me but I jumped spun and kicked him in the face. I never thought I could pull off that move I had seen Jack do it a million times though and I did it perfectly I landed on my feet the guard was nocked out cold. I jumped out the window and looked at Riley
"I love you Riley"

I said cautiously and she looked up a little and did a little half smile I hugged her and we left that terrible hell hole I limped the whole way back to the hideout. Once Riley noticed she grinned at me and said

"LAY DOWN"!!

I knew exactly why too because Jack and I mad her lay on the fucking couch all damn day. And now it was my turn I walked in another room and Riley changed into her pajamas and I did too. When I could walk back in Riley looked cute she had on some cut off jeans and that same cropped shirt she had. And yes now that her jacket wasn't hiding the low cut collar on her shirt my eyes almost popped out of my skull. Her hair was up in a pony tail and she was still wearing her dog tags and there was another chain around her neck that Jack and I hadn't notice before I didn't ask and I wasn't going to, not yet anyway she had gone through a lot that night and I didn't want to make stuff even worse for Riley.

Riley's point of view

I had gone to hell and back just a few minutes ago with Austin he had seen my weakness, my weakest point. That fucking foster home I went in fine but came out like a scared little kid. Austin beat the shit out of a guard. He helped me. After we got back we changed. I looked at him he was pretty cute he had a big white t-shirt and basketball shorts on and his hair was in a mess

"Hey Riley do you want one of my t-shirts to sleep in"

he asked I was shocked.

'damn why was he so nice to me?'

"Umm.. Sure if you don't mind"

He looked at me and gave me a little smile he grabbed a t-shirt and threw it to me.

Austen's point of view

She turned around facing the other wall and took off her other shirt and put in the one I gave her. I almost died watching that.

"Hey Riley come here"

Riley looked over at me and watched me walk into another room. She followed me to and look amazed when she saw what was in there.

"You can sleep here for now later we can make something for you if you want like to sleep on"

"Oh, Ok thanks Austin"

She jumped up on the bed and stood there for a minute she was taller then me now on the tall four post bed. I looked up at her and smiled I probably looking like an idiot but she didn't seam to care.
She walked to the end of the bed and kissed the top of my head I smiled at her half happy and half embarrassed. She smiled back at me and I could still see a little of that scared look in her eyes. She wasn't just spooked by that place she was terrified of it. She seemed to be calm with the rest of life.

"Ok Riley go to bed you went through hell and back today"

She looked a little scared about sleeping like she thought that they could some how reach her here. I walked over to the side of the bed she was sitting on I knelt down looked at her wearily and spoke to her softly saying.

"Riley no one will hurt you when your sleeping here they won't kiss you they, won't hit you or anything nothing will happen to you.. I'll keep you safe"

She looked down at me and did a little half smile

"Why are you so nice to me I'm nothing"?

She said with sad eyes then she looked at the floor she didn't looked back up at me. When she said that it felt like a punch to the gut.

"Riley"
I demanded

"YOUR NOT NOTHING I'M NICE TO YOU BECAUSE YOU DESERVE IT PEOPLE HAVE TREATED YOU TERRIBLE FOR A LONG TIME AND SOMEONE HAS TO SHOW YOU WHAT ITS LIKE TO BE TREATED RIGHT"!!!

She smiled at me and hugged me and when she did something on her arm caught my eye. I looked over at her arm to see it better there where cuts on her arm I jumped back and grabbed it.

"Riley what's this"?

"Huh Oh umm..uhh nothing"
she said trying to take her arm back
I tightened my grip

"Riley"
I said in a stern and demanding voice

"Austin it's nothing"
I saw a cut that looked new it had to be from today.

"Riley did you do this"?!

"It's not all from me"
she argued

"Who else did it"!
I said with my teeth tightly together

"No one its .. It's from falling out of a tree"

"Riley don't lie to me"

"Ok..ok fine"

"Now who else did it"?

"John"

She mumbled under her breath I was enraged my fists slammed shut.

"I'LL KILL HIM"!!

"It was mostly me though Austin just please"...
I cut her off

"No I will kill him now where is your knife"

"Austin please I"...
I cut her off again

"No Riley give me your knife"

"It's in my jacket"

I walked into the other room grabbed her jacket and pulled her knife out of her pocket and hid it in a little box on a high shelf. I walked back into the room Riley would be sleeping in.

"Riley promise me you won't go looking for your knife"

"I need it if I get into"..
I cut her off

"I will let you have it when we go outside but I will be keeping a close eye on you"

She let out a sigh and looked down
"Ok well Riley you should get some sleep"

I started out of the room I stopped to glance back at her she hadn't moved she was just sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Riley do you"..
She cut me

"Austin would you sleep in here with me"

I looked at her with concerned eyes I walked out of the room to the front door opened it and made sure that no one was outside I shut the door and locked it I shut off the light. And walked back into the room Riley was in. I walked over to her and set my hand under her chin and pulled her head up to look at me I moved my hand to the side of her face and looked her in the eye.

"Of corse I'll sleep in here with you"
I grabbed a blanket and started to lay on the floor

"Oh I meant sleep up here"

I was confused for a minute but then smiled I put the blanket back and turned off the light I climbed onto the bed and into the blankets Riley laid down. With her back facing me but then she turned and looked at me the scooted over close to me and hid her face in my chest.

"Why is my life so terrible"??

"I dont know Riley"

I put my hand on the back of her head and ran my finger through her hair and went to sleep.
