(POV: Third)

Come on...Come on!...

[F/n] thinks to himself as he tries desperately to use his aura as he's forced to watch as Ruby and Lana clash with one another, sparks from there weapons fly off in every direction. Though his site and hearing has gotten better, what [F/n] can only assume means the drug and is starting to wear off, his cuts and blood lose keep him unable to interfere, each movement causing more blood to flow as he forced to look and listen as they collide for a moment as Ruby holds her scythe sideways blocking Lana as she grips her katana with both hands, pushing against her.

"You're not gonna be able to beat me, Ruby, you may have been trained by Qrow, but I have been by the finest fighters in all of  Atlas."

"Wait, how did you-" Ruby stops as Lana holds her katana one-handed grabbing her pistol aiming at, prompting her to quickly spin her scythe, knocking Lana's katana back as she reflects the bullets then begins to does a spin attack shooting a round off propelling herself faster, missing as Lana jumps back,

"Do you really think [F/n] was the person I gained information about in my time at Beacon?" She then started shooting again as Ruby uses her semblance to dodge them shooting back.

As they continue there second of firing and dodging, [F/n]'s ears begin to twitch, prompting him to look left and right as he heard something moving when suddenly a quick reflection of light caught his eye.

"Ruby...left!" He weakly manages to yell out just in time for Ruby to move out the way of an incoming barrage of darts.

She quickly notices some heading towards my direction and quickly gets in front of me reflecting them with ease.

"Are you hit?" She says looking back to [F/n], seeing he was fine.

"Dod- AHHHH!!!" He yells raising his hands to his ears, hearing the loud sound again.

"[F/n]! What's-" before she could finish, Lana closes in, but Ruby quickly reacts slashing her scythe toward her blocking Lana as more darts begin to be shot from out the woods.

Ruby quickly shoots at Lana causing her to be pushed back momentarily as she then reflects more darts coming her way. Lana then comes in again aiming her gun towards [F/n] as he still winces in pain holding his ears, which causes Ruby to react getting in front of him as she again reflects the bullets. Lana then comes in close making precise blade motions as Ruby keeps pairing and attacking as well. Just when it seems as though they would be in another stalemate Ruby begins to attack faster, activating her semblance, doubling her attacks as Lana tries to keep up, but can't. Ruby then manages to knock Lana's katana and pistol from her hands then quickly trips her up, keeping her to the ground at scythe point.

"You don't have to do this Lana!" Ruby says between breaths, "there has to be another way, I just don't see why you're so quick to try and kill him! You two are friends!"

"It's simply my mission Ruby, nothing more, nothing less," Lana says as she begins dodging Ruby's bullets.

"I don't believe that! If it was simply a mission, your attacks and demeanor wouldn't be so angry!"

"You wouldn't understand."

"Then help me understand!" Ruby yells causing silence to sweep over the area as Lana looks up at her as if thinking before finally saying,

"very well, since you seem so intent on hearing," she then extending her hand," help me up and I promise will tell you."

At that Ruby nodded as she extended her hand to help Lana up, but something felt off to [F/n] as he still felt the malice from Lana and as Ruby helps her up, [F/n] noticed something shining in Lana's other hand.

"Ruby! watch out-" but it was too late as a dart from earlier is quickly plunged into Ruby's shoulder as she yells in pain, pushing Lana off her.

"Sorry Ruby, but your kind and honest personality will be your downfall,"Lana says as she presses a button on that device she suddenly pulls out, but instead of causing another high pitch noise, it summons two hovering robots to her, "and if your only defense to protect him is "a feeling", then words are wasted between us."

(POV:[F/n])

Ruby and I look at the robots, the ones no doubt the ones shooting the darts, as the hovered around Lana. There small, yet apparently large enough to hold a ridiculous amount of darts. There silver bodies somewhat round as the sides are open revealing fan wings and a barrel in the front.

I tried using my aura again, but to no result, hating myself for being so useless as Ruby backed up towards me, rubbing her eyes with her sleeve, feeling the effects of the drug, and readies her weapon scythe again.

"I truly am sorry for the way this went down between us Ruby, but I'm done playing games."

with that, Lana presses the button again the robots begin to move again, but instead of going to Ruby they head towards me aiming their guns getting ready to shoot another barrage of darts when one suddenly blows up from a bullet as Ruby barely gets in front of using as much as he semblance as she could, blocking the barrage of bullets again. I try the best I could to get up as Ruby tried so desperately to protect me, but I could see her struggle as he begins to slow down. One by one darts begin to get through her blocking, but she quickly manages to fire off another shot hitting the robot as it explodes.

"Okay...that's done..." she says wobbling as she breaths heavily turning towards me, "are you okay? I-"

she stops however as she's suddenly kicked to the side by Lana, slamming into a tree and as I look, my eyes wide as I see Lana holding Ruby's scythe and throws it behind her.

"Ruby!" I yell straining to get up, "Lana, she's not apart of this! it's me you want, so just-"

I yell in pain as she shoots a bullet into my shoulder, causing me to fall back over,

"Trust me, you and I will finish what we started, but she knew the ramifications of protecting you," she then looks at Ruby, her katana blade resting on her shoulder," so, do you still wish to know why?"

(POV: Lana)

She finally gets up, barely holding getting to her feet, looking for her scythe only to realize it lays behind me. Worry goes across her face, but is quickly replaced with determination as she has, but little option than to fight hand to hand as she raises her fists weakly.

She then begins to charge forward trying for a crude punch that I easily sidestep, landing a quick punch. Recuperates as tries to land another punch, but I catch her fist with my free hand and pull her in close landing a knee into her chest, knocking the wind out of her as she fell to the ground holding her chest as I begin to speak,

"It seems I was correct, your reliant on Crescent Rose to the point that even basic combat is difficult to you," she doesn't respond of course, as she tries to catch her breath, "I'll give you one last chance, if you stay down and don't move I'll-"

I step back as she tries to do an uppercut, though I soon it was a feint as she begins to run towards Crescent Rose, sadly for her the drugs in her system doesn't allow her to use her semblance giving me the chance to catch her by the cape and pull her back towards me as I then kick her feet from under her, as I quickly do an axe kick hitting her to the ground.

Before she has a moment to react, I kneel on top of her, pinning her arms to the ground and resting my katana to her neck.

"Lana stop!" I hear [F/n] yell as I look over to him as he pitifully drags himself towards us only making me angrier.

"This is pathetic, seeing you in that state. I expected a fight, or at least a fight with your Grimm form, but nothing I do seems to stir you, "I then look to Ruby, "except for her..."

At this point, I grip my blade tighter to Ruby's neck as a little blood was drawn.

"Look, Lana, whatever I did, I'm so-"

"Save it!"I yell, "why apologize for something you don't even know?"I then address Ruby, "tell me, do you still wanna know why? Why go through all this?"

She doesn't respond, no doubt because of my blade, but she doesn't have to as continue already knowing the answer,

"The team name "SLVR", unlike the ones given to you, is given to one team of each kingdom whose skills in combat outmatch those around them. Though  the kingdoms of Vacuo and Mistral rarely practice this tradition anymore, Atlas took pride in this honor."

"Our last team was pick years ago, consisting of four of our greatest soldiers who for a long time kept things safe and peaceful in Atlas, but then they got their last mission...they had gotten intel of a secret White Fang team that was planning to steal the contents of an Atlas stronghold and were sent to take care of them," I then turn to [F/n] as the expression on his face is a look of both realization and sorrow as I continued,"then they left and never returned...after awhile all their bodies were found, all killed by weapon wounds, except for the leader, who was mauled to death by what the soldiers at the stronghold accounted as a "Silver Beowulf"...the leaders name was-"

"Kurtis..." I heard [F/n] say as he looked at me.

"Yes, Kurtis Viridian..." [F/n] eyes go wide as I say this.

"Wait...he was..." Ruby says under me prompting me to look at her.

"My older brother...one of the youngest decorated soldiers in all of Atlas. He was kind to everyone and always wanted to solve things peacefully, no doubt trying to handle things without a fight as to the reason he and his teammates were found without there weapons," at this moment I could feel the tears run down my face as my anger cause my voice to crack,

"But you and your team didn't care, did you!? No, you decided to kill them and not even take whatever it was you came there for! Why!? Why would you just kill him!? For your mission!? For fun?!"I yell towards as he looks at me not saying anything, "ANSWER ME!!!"

As he's still not able to find the words, I try to calm myself as Ruby speaks up,

"Lana...I-"

"Don't Ruby, "I say looking at her," nothing you say can fix this...my brother was the only family I had left and just like that he was taken from me...wouldn't you feel the same if you lost Yang?"

This question causes Ruby to go quiet as she seems to have never considered it before.

"I see now, however, that you're still trying to hold onto this facade you've created for yourself to hide what you truly are, but you seem to have one weakness from what I've observed recently...her."

As I say this Ruby's eyes go wide.

"Wait why would I-"

"Oh Ruby, what you don't understand is that for some reason you two seem to be close, closer then most are to him and not to mention you were the only one to stop him when he was in the process of changing when he fought Cardin, though it seemed I was the only one to truly notice. But as I realized this, it made me think: If you can make him calm down, you can also make him change."

"Wait, Lana, you're not-" [F/n] starts, but stops as he sees my expression change to a more serious tone as I pick up Ruby from the ground holding her in front of him as my blade was still at her neck.

"Lana, you don't have to do this!"He says getting up, "If it's an apology you want, I'm-"

"Sorry won't fix or change anything," I interrupt," you want to truly show you're sorry, change into the Grimm and fight me."

"I can't, you drugged me and took away my aura!"

"We both know your transformation has nothing to do with aura, "I say as causing him to go quiet," so here's what we're gonna do: I'm going to count to 3, and if you aren't changed, I'm going to slit her throat."

"Wait, Lana-"

"1..."

"[F/n]!" Ruby yells trying to break free as I notice something spark from [F/n]'s eyes.

"Lana, just stop now and we can fight you and me ju-"

"2..." I say griping my blade tighter as the spark becomes stronger

Just a little more...

"Lana please stop-"

He stops however as my blade quickly moves across Ruby's neck as a ribbon of red flies through the sky as I release her and she falls to the ground.

"3..."

(POV: Third)

The night goes quiet as everything seems to stop as [F/n] looks down at Ruby's motionless body as Lana stands there looking at him.

"It's your fault you know," she says to him, "you tried to hold back who you were, a murderer, a monster, just because you didn't want to hurt the vision of how she sees you and because of that she died because of your-"

Lana stops however as a sudden shift in the air and a loud thumping sounds of causing a shiver to run down her spine as [F/n]'s eyes begin to go from silver to blood red, the spark around his eyes change as well. After a while, the thumping becomes faster and seems to become louder to her ears as she realizes the thumping is [F/n]'s heartbeat as his chest moves to the Rhythm until it suddenly stops...

"Wha-"

"ARH-WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"

[F/n] suddenly lets out a howl that seems to curdle Lana's blood as silver energy wraps around him as she saw before, however, something was different whereas last time he felt the same yet different, this feeling was...unnatural.

She covers her face, but still tries to watch as the silver energy begins to ingulf him forming around him finality taking the form of the Beowulf, but instead of its eyes glowing silver like last time, they glow red.

He then looks at Lana growling as she simply readies herself, pushing down her uneasy feeling.

"So I finally get to see my killer of my brother face to face and finally get to avenge him. Now, come at me be-"

She doesn't have time to finish as she barely dodged out of the way as the Beowulf quickly closes the distance between them slashing at where she was just at. She quickly shoots a fire round at him as it hits his shoulder cause a growl of pain to come out. It then goes after her again slashing at her wildly as she manages to dodge them as she finds an opening and slashes at him causing him to back up, giving her enough distance for her to slide her blade through the back of her pistol causing it blades side to turn red as she then begins sending off fire slashes at it that makes contact, causing the slashes to explode on contact causing a dust cloud to ingulf him.

She looks at the cloud for a moment, satisfied yet disappointed as she didn't know how to feel.

"I...expected more from this, but...in the end, I guess that form was nothing more than just another Grimm..."

Lana then suddenly remembers Ruby, looking at where she lays and quickly goes over to her checking her neck. She sighed a breath of relief as her precise slash managed not to cut Ruby's Carotid artery, as she still drew breath.

"I truly am sorry Ruby," she says knowing Ruby couldn't hear her, "I hope you never have to go through the pain of losing someone you care about the-"

She stops however as she hears something behind her and instinctively tries to block, but to no avail as she's sent flying until she finally crashes to the ground feet always. The pain to the fall is excruciating, coupled with her chest pain, but she manages to get up feeling her armor and shaking in fear as she looks down and notices the armor she had custom made to not be able to be punctured by even a Goliath tusk, was slashed through to her skin as blood was flowing from her wounds.

She looks up to see the Beowulf, as the damage from her attack is still visible as slash marks run all across its body, but unlike most Grimm that would have easily died from this, Lana sees each slash begins to emit strange slicker energy she doesn't feel as aura begins to slowly close the wounds as it stands in front of Ruby.

"What...what are you?" This sentence escapes her lips as the Beowulf howls again prompting her to get ready again, but as she readied her weapons, she notices her hands are unsteady as the Grimm begins to come closer.

Ruby quickly gasps for air as she breathes heavily holding her neck as she tries to figure out what happened, when she suddenly hears a Grimm howl.

She looks and her stomach begins to turn as what she sees reminds her of her dream as Lana and the silver Beowulf fight, Lana managing to fight back, but seems to struggle the more she fights on, and the Beowulf, it refuses to let up as it attacks Lana with no sight of quitting.

"No no no..." Ruby repeats to herself ask she quickly tries to get up, the pain still going through her body, but she refuses to stop as she tries to get to them before her dream becomes a reality,

"[F/n]! [F/n]!" She yells loudly in vein as the Beowulf doesn't listen as it lands another it to Lana, causing her to be hit back into a tree.

She gets up leaning on the tree, but Ruby could see that she couldn't keep going as he crept closer.

"Stop [F/n]! You don't wanna do this!" Ruby yells as she starts to run with silver energy sparking from her eyes against her knowledge."I...said..."

Just then Ruby felt herself able to use her semblance again, but something was different as when she normally used it, she could feel her aura flow out of her, while with time her body felt cool, as if she was in water, as she closed the distance getting between Lana and [F/n],

"STOOOOP!!!!"

As she yelled this, the energy entities from her eyes began to ingulf them, as well as the area around them, in a bright silver light.....as it subdues, Ruby looks around and goes wide-eyed as she's in the forest looks like the one from her dream, but everything appears to be silver and...slower as she looks around and sees leaves falling slowly. as she then feels something in her right hand and as she looks down, she sees the basket. A familiar sound breaks her concentration as she quickly runs towards it location to see Lana leaning on a tree and though at first, it looks like she's not moving, she's just moving slowly. On the other side is Beowulf that looks more like a silhouette and in the center is [F/n] as both their eyes glow red.

"[F/n]!" She yells, but he doesn't hear her as he only keeps his gaze on Lana.

He begins to walk towards her again, but Ruby quickly gets in front of them once more.

"[F/n], it's me, Ruby! I'm okay! See!?"

He then walks up to Ruby, the Grimm silhouette moving as he does and as he looks down she sees his face start to soften.

"Ruby...your...okay..."

"Yea, I'm fine, Lana didn't kill me she just-"

"Lana..." He says looking over to her getting angrier.

"[F/n]! Hey, look at me!" I say trying to gain his attention, "look at me!"

He then starts moving towards her again,

"Hey! Stop! I'm. O.k., just-" She then stopped as she begins to feel the basket move, "uhhhh..."

Thinking quickly, Ruby remembers that although the dream was cut off, she knew the basket had some significance as she raises the basket over her head which ends up gaining his attention. For a moment nothing seems to happen, but then Ruby sees [F/n] begin to reach for the backer, but as he does, the backset opens as some thee strange silver energy hits [F/n] in the face as he backs up trying to rub his eyes as the silver begins to .

The begin to wince in pain as the silver and red in begin to mix in his eyes for a moment before the silver finally subdues the red and as it does, the Beowulf's eyes change as well and slowly begins to dispatch.

"[F/n]..." she finally manages to say as he begins to calm down, "are you..."

"Yea, I'm me." He finally
