Ivy's POV

It's been exactly 47 days since I had spoken to my best friend Blake. That's exactly a month and two weeks without any source or form of communication. I have been trying my hardest to apologize, but every time I build up the courage to admit I was wrong I soon finds myself aborting the mission.

Blake has been doing a great job at avoiding me as if I was a deadly disease. Blake avoids every attempt at eye contact and she has successfully mastered a plan to avoid me during cheer practice. I'm angry with myself for allowing my shallow ways to cause me to lose my best friend; no my sister. To make matters worse, I have to sit by and watch my best friend being all buddy-buddy with the she devil herself.

"Ugh, look at her, she is so gross!" says Ivy as she sits at the lunch table with her normal crew; which surprisingly includes Amy and her best friend Mercedes. "God, why don't she just fuck off and go back to whatever hole she crawled out of" she rolls her eyes as she stares daggers into Emerald soul. The rest of the table is silent and slightly annoyed. Unbeknown to Ivy, she has been ranting and raving about Emerald for the past month and a half and the girls have had enough. "Hmph, I don't like her... She is soooooo lame!"

"For crying out loud Ivy we get it you hate her. I swear if I have to hear one more thing about her I'm going to staple my ears together," Kacy says as she takes a sip of her water. The girls all sighed in relief because Kacy was the only one who had enough balls to speak what has been on their minds for the longest. At first they thought it was just Ivy's way of coping with the lost of her best friend, but soon they all started to wonder if it was more. It was like Ivy was obsessed with the brown eyed New Yorker. It was always, Emerald this and Emerald that, and I hate her, why is she wearing that, she thinks she is so smart, and blah blah blah! It was annoying and slightly frustrating because Emerald was actually a very nice girl.

Now Emerald has settled into Madison Prep and she easily became one of the most popular girls in school. Now she was nowhere near Ivy's popular status, but she was slowly gaining a huge following AND Ivy hated every second of it. She still had to subcome to the torture of having Emerald in her house every Wednesday and Friday for therapy with her dad. After the awkward ride home on the day she and Blake stop speaking Emerald decided it was best if she found another means of transportation, which surprisingly involved Blake.

Emerald POV

After a long day of class I was glad to hear the final bell ring. It was Friday and Blake was dropping me off at Ivy's house. Yep, you guessed it, it was therapy time. Although I have grown to like Dr. W a lot more doesn't mean I was comfortable spilling my deepest feelings to the man. If you're wondering how Ivy and I are still both alive; let's just say we have both perfected this Tom and Jerry game perfectly. She still a pain and tends to make comments and spread rumors about me, but I have personally chosen to ignore them all. I like to think I am improving a lot with my little anger issues; but Blake disagrees, she says she sees the way Ivy and I interact and it's like (in her words, not mines), "just so much sexual tension between us!" As usual, I claim offense to that and she just smirks and replies, "if Ivy hadn't voted you off the island on day one, you would so be Ivy's BITCH right now!" I chuckled at that.

I was snapped out of my thoughts as the car came to a stop. "So have you've given it any more thought I would love for you to join us tonight," Blake said as she turned the music down. I sighed because as much as I enjoyed spending time with her, I had no attention on staying at her place for the entire weekend with the entire cheer squad. I get enough of all the weird looks and whispers at school and did I mention Ivy was the head cheerleader. "Nope, not going to happen!" I replied. I began to step out the car when she gave me her famous puppy dog pout. Dammit, she has only known me for a month and she can play me like a fool already. I ran my hands through my hair and sighed again, because we both knew once she pulled out the pout I was putty in her hands. I replied a defeated, "yes, I'll be there. Pick me up in an hour or so." I got out the car and waved bye as I rang the bell.

"Emerald dear, Mr. Wright is running a little late why don't you go wait in the den," Barbara said as she opened the door. I thanked her and made my way around the huge house. Although I have been here at least twice a week I still have yet to fully tour the house; so I figured now was a good time.

I started downstairs and there was the usual: Dr. W's office, the living room, dinning room, kitchen and door that leads to the garden, pool, tennis court, and garage. Next I went upstairs, there wasn't much difference from my house. The hall was split in two directions, but one door at the very end stood out. It was white with a big sign that read "Ivy's Room". I stood there staring at the door my mind was saying turn around but my body was acting on its own because soon I found myself standing in the middle of Ivy's room.

The room was a typical girlie room, she had photos everywhere, a huge king size bed, a desk in the corner, some clothes thrown around the floor and a massive amount of trophies. I found myself smiling at the photos all around the room. There were pictures of a happy baby Ivy, Middle school Ivy, and tons of pictures of her and Blake.

After admiring the room, I closed the door and decided it would be best to head back to the den. That is until I spotted a door that read " Ivy's Art Room Stay Out". Being me, I decided to ignore the stay out part and entered the room anyway. "Wow" was all I could say as I looked at some of the most gorgeous paintings and portraits I've ever seen. Not to mention one side of the room wall's was completely covered in my favorite type of art Graffiti. "Wow, she is really talented," "who knew that big old meanie could do this!" "I wonder if she gets her talent from her dad or mom!" "Speaking of her mom wear is she, maybe her parents had a nasty divorce and that's why she is so angry."

I was so lost in my own thoughts that I didn't even hear anyone enter the room and it wasn't until I was snatch around that I found myself face to face with a very angry looking Ivy Wright! I gulped loudly sending a silent prayer to the man upstairs because the way Ivy was staring at me there was no way I was getting outta here alive! "Death by crazed lunatic!" Is what my tombstone will read.
