YN Sturniolo had always been the younger sister of the infamous Sturniolo triplets, but she wasn't one to let the spotlight intimidate her. Despite growing up in the shadow of her brothers, YN was just as outgoing and adventurous. And when she started dating Nathan, things only got more exciting.

Nathan and YN had been dating for a while now, and the triplets were always teasing them about it. So when the Sturniolo triplets invited both her and Nathan to LA for the day, it felt like the perfect escape from their usual routine. A day of sightseeing, shopping, and laughter was just what they needed.

It had been a fun-filled day, filled with sunshine and the chaotic energy that only the triplets could bring. YN was having the time of her life, laughing at Matt's jokes, playing tourist, and enjoying the little moments.

As the day wore on, though, the triplets started whispering among themselves. Nathan noticed their smirks and knew immediately that something was up.

"Are you seriously planning something?" Nathan raised an eyebrow, not buying their innocent looks.

Chris's grin only grew wider. "What? Us? We're just thinking about some... harmless fun."

Nathan gave them a skeptical look but couldn't help the chuckle that escaped him. "I'm not going to be part of whatever you're planning."

Matt snickered. "Oh, don't worry. You'll be right there with us. You know YN's easy to scare. This is going to be too good."

Before Nathan could protest, the triplets made their move. They quickly disappeared into the next room, leaving YN and Nathan alone in the living room.

YN, unaware of the impending prank, was lying back on the couch, scrolling through her phone and absentmindedly talking to Nathan. "I can't believe how nice it is here. I think I'm going to miss LA when we leave."

Nathan smiled at her, feeling content in the moment. "Yeah, it's nice. But I think I'll miss you more than the city." He nudged her shoulder playfully.

"You're so cheesy," YN laughed, rolling her eyes. But before she could say anything else, the triplets reappeared, sneaking around corners and crouching low, trying to be as quiet as possible.

Chris, with a glint in his eye, nodded toward Matt and Nick. "On three," he whispered.

Nathan caught the sudden shift in their energy, his stomach sinking. "Guys, seriously, don't—"

But it was too late.

Without any warning, the triplets jumped out from behind the wall, shouting in unison, "BOO!"

YN's heart stopped for a second. Her eyes shot open wide in complete shock. She let out a scream that echoed through the entire apartment, so loud that even the triplets flinched. Her chest heaved in panic, and for a split second, she forgot where she was, what was happening, and everything around her.

Her brain told her to run, but her body was frozen in place. The triplets' laughter rang in her ears, but all she could focus on was the adrenaline coursing through her. She barely registered the fact that Nathan was sitting beside her—until, in a split-second decision, she spun around and bolted straight toward him.

Her heart was pounding so loudly that it drowned out everything else. She didn't even think; she just acted on pure instinct.

Before Nathan had time to process what was happening, YN collided into him, her arms wrapping around his waist as she buried her face in his chest. The sudden contact made him stumble back slightly, but he quickly regained his balance, holding her tight against him.

"Hey, hey, it's okay," Nathan's voice was gentle as he pulled her in closer, his hands stroking her hair in an attempt to calm her down.

But YN was still breathing heavily, her body trembling in his arms. The shock hadn't worn off yet, and she was still trying to catch her breath. "I— I hate you guys!" she gasped, her voice shaking.

The triplets were laughing so hard that they could barely stand straight, clearly pleased with themselves. But Nathan wasn't paying them any attention.

He looked down at YN, who was still clutching him like he was her anchor. Her face was flushed, and she was trying to steady her breathing, but her hands were still trembling as she clung to him for comfort.

"YN, it's okay. You're fine. I've got you," Nathan said softly, his fingers gently brushing through her hair as he tried to calm her down.

"I swear, you guys are evil," YN muttered under her breath, still hiding her face in his chest. She could hear the triplets laughing in the background, but it only made her more embarrassed. She hated how jumpy she was, but the way they had snuck up on her had been impossible to anticipate.

"Tell me about it," Nathan said, his lips curling into a grin. "But I don't mind you running to me like that."

YN pulled back just enough to meet his eyes, a soft blush coloring her cheeks. "I can't believe you let them do that."

Nathan chuckled and gave her a small shrug. "I didn't have much of a choice. You know how they are." He looked over at the triplets, who were still snickering. "But I'm glad you ran to me. I'll always be here to catch you."

Her heart fluttered at his words, and she couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed. She was still trying to calm herself down, but there was something comforting about being in Nathan's arms. He made her feel safe, even in the middle of her most embarrassing moments.

"They're going to pay for this," YN muttered, but the words were laced with a smile. She knew that the triplets would get their revenge, but for now, she was perfectly content to stay in Nathan's arms.

"I'll protect you," Nathan teased, his voice playful as he leaned in to kiss the top of her head.

"Promise?" YN asked, looking up at him with soft eyes.

"Promise," Nathan replied, a grin tugging at his lips. "You know, I'll always be here when you need me."

As the triplets calmed down, their laughter still echoing through the room, YN relaxed in Nathan's embrace, feeling all the tension melt away. No matter what pranks they pulled, she knew that with Nathan by her side, she could handle anything.

And maybe, just maybe, she didn't mind being scared as long as Nathan was there to catch her.
