It was another quiet afternoon in the LA house. YN was in the shared bedroom with Matt, while the rest of the house's usual chaos buzzed around her. She was scrolling through her phone when she heard the familiar buzz of a razor coming from the bathroom. Her curiosity piqued, she pushed herself off the bed and walked toward the bathroom door.
As she peeked inside, her eyes widened. There was Matt, standing in front of the mirror, carefully shaving off his beard.
"Baby, what are you doing?" she asked, her voice full of surprise.
Matt turned toward her, his face softening into a warm smile. "Oh, hey gorgeous," he said casually, as though it wasn't a big deal. "I'm just shaving my beard."
YN's eyes widened even more, and her lips immediately formed a pout. "No, don't," she said, her voice full of playful disappointment. "I love it! Why are you shaving it off?"
Matt set the razor down and turned toward her. "I know you love it, babe," he said with a small smile. "But it's time for it to go. I'll grow it back soon, I promise."
YN crossed her arms, still looking a little upset. "But I really like it," she said softly. "It makes you look even hotter."
Matt chuckled, stepping closer to her. "I know, but sometimes change is good, right?" He leaned down and kissed the top of her head. "And don't worry, I'll grow it back in no time."
YN sighed dramatically, pretending to be mad as she looked away from him. "Fine, but I'm still mad at you."
Matt raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Mad at me for shaving my beard?"
YN nodded firmly, her arms crossed tightly over her chest. "Yes. It's a big deal, Matt."
Matt's smirk widened as he leaned down, kissing her lips softly. "Okay, okay, I get it. How about I make it up to you later?"
YN gave him a playful side-eye, but still refused to speak. "We'll see."
Matt chuckled and stood up straight. "Alright, I'm gonna leave you to sulk for now. I'll make it up to you, I promise."
YN shook her head, rolling her eyes as she turned to leave the bathroom and headed toward the living room, where Nick and Chris were hanging out.
She found them sitting on the couch, both of them absorbed in their phones. As soon as she plopped down next to them, Nick looked up with a raised eyebrow. "What's wrong with you?" he asked, noticing the pout on her face.
"I'm mad at your brother," she replied, crossing her arms over her chest.
Chris immediately looked concerned. "What did Matt do now?"
"He shaved his beard," she said dramatically.
Nick gasped, his hand flying to his chest as if he was about to faint. "No! Not the beard!" he said, completely over-exaggerating. "How could he do that to you?"
Chris joined in, shaking his head. "That's a betrayal right there," he said, his lips curling into a grin. "I can't believe he did it."
YN shot them both an unimpressed look. "If you were a girl, you'd understand how important it is," she said, rolling her eyes again. "Beards are everything."
Nick chuckled and shrugged. "I'm sorry, YN. I'm on Matt's side here. He needed a change."
"Yeah," Chris said, trying to hold back his laughter. "You've got to admit, a fresh start can be a good thing."
Before YN could respond, Matt came out of the bathroom, his face completely smooth and free of any beard. He walked into the living room, grinning when he spotted YN.
"Hey, guys," he said casually, then turned his attention to YN. "Hello, gorgeous."
YN didn't look up, still pouting and crossing her arms tightly over her chest. She avoided eye contact with him, not wanting to let him off the hook too easily.
Matt's smile faltered slightly as he noticed her ignoring him. He walked closer to her, crouching down to meet her gaze. "Are you still mad at me?" he asked, his voice laced with both concern and teasing.
YN stayed silent, turning her head slightly away from him. She was still playing the tough girl, even though she was secretly softening inside.
Matt chuckled softly and reached out to take her hand. "I can't stand it when you're mad at me," he said. "But I've got an idea."
She raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What idea?"
Matt gave her a mischievous grin. "There are only five things that can make you happy when you're mad at me," he said, counting on his fingers. "One: food and drinks. Two: cuddles. Three: my sweaters. Four: beach walks. And five: letting you trace my tattoos."
YN couldn't help but smile at that. "You know me so well," she said softly, her eyes softening as she finally met his gaze.
Matt's grin widened. "I know, babe," he said, leaning in to kiss her cheek. "I'll grab an iced coffee for you. And maybe we can cuddle later?"
YN thought for a second, then slowly nodded. "Fine, you can get me an iced coffee," she said with a playful smirk. "But it's going to take more than that to make up for the loss of your beard."
Matt laughed and stood up, giving her a dramatic salute. "Consider it done, gorgeous."
As Matt left the living room, Nick and Chris exchanged looks and began laughing.
"Well, that was easy," Chris said, grinning.
Nick chuckled. "Yeah, it's not about the coffee," he said. "It's about the beard. And Matt's got a lot of making up to do."
YN couldn't help but laugh along with them, secretly feeling a little guilty for being so mad at Matt. But she knew he'd always make it right.
Side Rant - Today in class, some girl was talking about how she really wants to go to the Sturniolo tour, and then I was like, Me too, and then she was like, Oh, you are a fan, and I said, Yes. She then said, Okay, can I quiz you and see if you are an actual true fan?" and I said, Sure. She then said, Okay. She then said, "Okay, what was the Boston house address? and I said, I don't know. Then she said, I do, but I'm not telling, and then she also said, What is there, Grandmother's wallpaper? and I didn't know. Then she said, I do, but I'm not saying the answer, so I guess you're not a fan then.
